It's an Artistic Day today, sort of!

Yo! Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

Well, you can see that November is here, yesterday it was rain and today it is windy! Actually it wasn't too bad and had fun on the beach and even got the ferrets to have a run as well!

Remember yesterday we were talking about the sunrise? Now, this morning Old Two Legs looked out of the window and saw the sun poke it's nose over the horizon. It was a deep red sky with a blaze of orange over the top. If we were down on the beach we reckon it would have been a complete sky full of red!

The only problem was, OTL hadn't even put his socks on and he hadn't even had his shower!

So, by the time we got down to the beach the sun was well up in the sky. Now when OTL takes a picture he 'Samples' the sky by pointing the camera at different parts of the sky, somewhere where it's dark and somewhere where it's light and that could completely change the picture!

Let me show you.

Now in this one OTL 'Sampled' the sky where the sun was just poking through, that white lump in the middle of the sky.

What it has done is to tell the camera that everything else takes it reflectivity setting from that spot.

It looks early in the morning.
The next picture was taken where the grey cloud to the left of the sun was 'Sampled' which made it much brighter, in fact, it is very close to what your eyes would see!

Back to a Wishy Washy sky!
We will have to wait until the time catches up with the sunrise and OTL gets his sunrise picture!

Not that we were really interested, we were having fun digging holes in the sand!

Me, digging my own hole!
Eric didn't bother with his own hole, he just tried to take over Mays hole but she told him where to go!

This afternoon OTL was off delivering again so Holly and I spent our time snoozing and watching out of the bedroom window waiting for him to return!

We had a delivery today of some more equipment to get the 'Dehydrator' working and The Missus has started reading the recipe book OTL ordered on-line.

Holly and I are looking forward to some dried chicken or beef while OTL has dried fruit to look forward to!

Mind you, there is also Beef Jerky recipes in the book, so he might get lucky!

I'll let you know how it goes!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

...................and then it Rained!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It's been another fun day, the ferrets, as you know, are well known for pinching stuff. If it's not Old Two Legs socks, then it's The Missuses knickers! Of course, if there is any food left on the sofa or on our sleeping cushion, then that's gone when we come back to it!

Today it was 'Payback Time'!

It started after the morning walk, Eric and May, having had their rampage around the house, retired to their beds and were snoozing their tails off before you could say Woof!

OTL had let Holly and I out for a run while he took a telephone call and both Holly and I headed for the 'Craft Room' 'cos we could sniff something that we should know all about!

We had a poke around the boxes of stuff and found one with the lid open and a special sniff was oozing out of the top!

Holly and got our noses in and then our muzzles and finally our heads and guess wot we came up with?

Two fresh Teeth Cleaning Chews!

Those sneaky ferrets had been into the kitchen, opened the cupboard and nicked two chews from the opened pack!

Holly Chops and I were well satisfied with the find and even more please 'cos when they go to find the chews, they will have gone 'cos Holly and I chomped our way through the chews!

Result!

Eric has been showing his tail off again! I mean, there are times when it just gets a little boring listening to him going on about it all the time!

I mean, everyone has a tail, even OTL but you can't see his, something to do with evolution!

Just imaging it if the Two Legs had tails, they would all be sniffing each others tails, just like wot we do!

Now This is wot a tail should look like!
Lunchtime was fun, we headed off to the beach but just as we got to the car park, it started to rain!

So, we all got back in the car and OTL drove around the corner to the Co-op and did some shopping. Then back we go to the foot ball field and get out of the car. Halfway across the field, it started to rain again!

I sat down and refused to move any further, Holly did a few more steps, just to get at a sniff, then she started to walk back towards the car.

Freddy had been put down on the grass which was now rather wet and he refused to more 'cos his tummy was wet!

Miss Wendy lifted her tail up and started back towards the car, she doesn't do wet either!

We have decided that it is just too wet!
We all had a wee, well, not OTL but the rest of us did and that was the end of the walk! Back home to a warm cushion and nice a snuggled up under OTL's deck!

I know it is Autumn but do we have to have rain during the day? Why can't it just rain at night?

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's just not dark enough in the mornings!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, we were just getting used to British Summer Time when along comes the clock change and we got an extra hour in bed which isn't too bad but we have missed out on other things. Like, where has the sunrise gone to? When we get down to the beach it is all wishy washy!

Not exactly the deep red sky we want!
Still, a bit later in the year we should get the colours Old Two Legs wants and then you''ll get loads of sunrise pictures!

Holly's eyes are getting better and this morning as we got onto the sand, she forgot wot OTL had told her and shoved her nose in the sand ended up with sand all over her face!

Holly was pleased but OTL was jumping up and down 'cos she also got some sand in her eye as well!

Not good for her bad eyes!

We had a race back to the car, May and Freddy tried to get us to allow them a head start but Holly wouldn't play!

If they want to keep up then they should grow longer legs!
This morning was all cleaning and playing 'Chase The Ferret' which all the ferrets just love and after Chase The Ferret' it's 'Chase OTL!'

Eric just loves that game and races around like his legs were falling off!

Freddy loves it as well and falls onto his back and when OTL tickles his tummy he grabs OTL's finger and has a playful nibble!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy got a super run around the football field which Freddy just loves. You see, his tummy is close to the ground and long grass sort of scratches his tummy. Now, the football field has short grass which lets Freddy trot along laughing his tail off!

All I need is a football and we could have a game!
Once we got back home a carrier delivered a package that had to be delivered to the customer today, so, OTL puts the parcel in the back of the car then he rattled his car keys and that was the signal for Holly and I to get in the back of the car!

That was it, we were off to South London to play 'Woofer Carriers'!

Back home The Missus was fast asleep on the sofa and when we came crashing into the lounge we made her jump six feet into the air!

That'll teach her to fall asleep on the job!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Auntie Chris Visits!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

First of all, sad news yesterday. He hear that Toby the Woof has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so sad to loose a member of the family. Our wishes go out to all the gang.

Today we were up early 'cos Old Two Legs has a load of appointments today, some he doesn't mind and others he just hates!

Come to think on it, all of the visits were costing him money!

No wonder he is a sad OTL today!

First it was the new accountant who seems to charge OTL every time he even thinks about OTL! Then it was down to the Doggy Shop, (without us!!!!!) for some teeth cleaning chews a couple of bottles of disinfectant for the ferret cages and a super grooming brush which has a button on the handle to take off all the hair that gets stuck in the metal bristles!

Dead smart it is too!

Next it was the dentist who prodded and poked and stabbed and tapped with a dentist hammer on his sore tooth and then asked ....(Does that Hurt?)

You know it took two nursing assistants, and the receptionist, to prise OTL's fingers from the dentists throat!

Yes, that also cost a fortune as well!

To add insult to injury, the parking ticket machine ate one of his fifty pence pieces and he had to put another one in so he could park his car for the full hour!

Next stop was B&Q for a new shower head and flexi pipe 'cos the other one in the shower was getting all covered with chalk from the hard water we have in our area!

The new one looks dead smart and the pipe is a bit longer, so showering a woofer before she gets a hair cut will be easier!

While all this was happening, we got a visit from Auntie Chris who came over for a visit for a chat and a walk along the beach with us.

Just to show off, I decided to go in for a paddle and get my tummy all wet! It was lovely, I hadn't been in for a swim for ages!

Of course, I got told off, but let's face it, do I care?

Holly stayed on the beach and kept her nose out of the sand!

Her eyes are getting much better now and the only gunk in her eyes is the stuff OTL puts in there morning and night!

We didn't take Freddy and Wendy but they got a cuddle and a tickle on the tummy from Chris!

Freddy wanted to play games but Auntie Chris isn't too confident handling ferrets and of course, Freddy could sense this and played up a little!

Naughty Freddy!

All too soon Chris was off 'cos she had a busy day planned.

OTL arrived home and we gave him a big 'Woofer Welcome' especially as he had two boxes of Teeth Cleaning Chews!

Just to help him relax, we let him install the new shower and demonstrate the three settings. There was the 'Gentle Rain' setting which sort of covered the shower then there was the 'Bit Stronger to Wash your Backside'!

Finally there is the 'If you Point That At Me I'll Bite you Bum' setting! That's the one that could give you a hair cut with just the water!

Mind you, it may be good for helping The Missus to get the ink off her fingers!

We are now off to see wot OTL has for dinner and just how much we can pinch!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Snoozy Sunday.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We love Sunday, it sort of starts late and just sort of ambles along all sort of at a slow pace, just right if you are relaxing!

Unless you live in our house!

Around four this morning Holly fell off the bed onto to floor! I heard the thump but didn't think much of it as it didn't sound like burglars bashing the door down and when I heard Holly go, OOOUMPH! I went back to sleep!

Holly decided that she wanted to get back so she did her night time  'wooof' which is a signal for Old Two Legs to switch the light on so she can see where to jump onto the bed!

Now the light is one of those hand held lights, a torch, he turns it on and points it down the bottom of the bed so Holly or I can see where to jump.

You know, I'm sure he is fast asleep when he does it 'cos he never says anything!

Having fallen out of bed, Holly decided to get closer to the middle of the bed where The Missus has taken over the space and that means Holly has to do a 'Wriggle' to shove OTL over a bit but that also means the duvet sort of slides off OTL and he starts to get cold, which wakes him up and being unable to get the duvet back, or shove Holly back and move The Missus, he decides that he should get up, well, it is six fifteen!

While he is in the shower, Holly gives TM a 'Good Morning' ear lick which wakes her up and she heads for the kitchen for the first cup off coffee of the day.

Holly and I sort of spreads out and we get really comfortable on the bed!

After getting dressed OTL says 'Good Morning' to the ferrets and gives them all a cuddle and a slurp of Ferretone before heading down stairs for his breakfast of rabbit food, orange juice and a cup of tea, which he shares with the ferrets!

It was a bit chilly this morning and slightly damp, so the ferrets managed to blag a lift in OTL's arms until a sniffy bit of grass attracted their attention and then it was wriggles to get down!

TM was up the village hall again for the 'Sunday Glue Slap' so we got OTL to ourselves. He played 'Chase' with the ferrets and 'Hunt the Ferret' so they all had a great game before going back to the cage for breakfast and a snooze!

I was a little worried in case he decided to give me a hair cut but I seemed to escape that for this week!

Lunchtime we headed back to the beach again and as we arrived, we spotted a strange looking ship with big metal towers poking into the air. Holly said that they were 'Legs' that they extended down to the sea bed and jacked the ship up so they could do things like drill holes into the sea bed!

Holly is clever like that!

If they put those legs down, can the walk along the sea bed?
Then we spotted them, loads of fishermen all throwing worms back into the water! There were that many we couldn't get onto the sandy beach 'cos they had all their fishing lines in the water and it was a 'Spring Tide' which means there wasn't much of the beach to walk on!

Too much water and not enough beach!
As we came down the hill several of them spotted us and the ferrets, now they couldn't be catching many fish 'cos the all turned around and started talking about ferrets!

One plonker called out and asked if the 'Puppies' were tame?

Freddy suggested we go down and bite his fingers, that would show him!

'Hey, Look, Little Puppies!
Wendy said it may be better if we all went down a did a poo under his umbrella!

OTL wouldn't let us so we had to back up the grass path, but we did blow raspberries at them!

On the way back home, we dropped in to see the Glue Slappers and both Wendy and Freddy got a cuddle and a tickle on the tum!

Holly and I had to stay in the car and guard it against robbers and Nargles!

This afternoon it was great, OTL cooked our chicken and after finishing it all we jumped up on his lap and we all had a snooze before TM came home.

Tomorrow is Monday, so it's back to work for OTL who has got to go out early and half way through the morning he has to go to the dentist! More pain, more money and you can bet it isn't just one visit he will need, it never is!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Bo News and Holly gets a hair cut!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wot a busy day today, after last nights whizz bangs and Holly getting the shivers, today we woke up to the news that it would rain today!

Just great!

The Missus headed off for some advanced glue slapping at the village hall with her mates, leaving Old Two Legs thinking he was in charge!

On the walk we bumped into Poppy and Bo on the beach, Poppy was all over OTL and insisted that OTL give her tummy a tickle!

Bo said that she had visited the vet yesterday an after an inspection the vet confirmed that Bo had four puppies in her tummy!

We all had a sniff and noticed there was a 'different' sniff than normal so we are all thinking up names.

The best one so far is Wind, Fire, Ice and Rain but I'm sure that will change before they all arrive!

We noticed that there was ten Wormy Men out on the mud flats this morning, that means there is a fishing contest this weekend and they are all looking for worms to throw back in the water!

Loads of Wormy Men!
Back home OTL got all set up in the kitchen with the table and the Blaster to give Holly chops a trim.

Instead of getting a bath in the Plasterers Bath she got taken up to the shower in the bathroom and was given a good wash all over, then rinsed off and towel dried before getting carried down to the kitchen.

I must admit, the kitchen was warmer and brighter than the shed and as Holly only had a hair cut a month ago, she didn't need a lot taken off!

In fact, she didn't make too much fuss about it although she had a little wriggle when the blaster was on. You see she doesn't like warm air in her face, even though OTL was holding the nozzle well away!

In the end she looked OK, OTL did a good job on her head and muzzle and under her chin!

She is still twitchy about having her claws trimmed so OTL decided to leave that until next week and give her a quick pedicure before I get washed and shaved!

We are getting prepared for the whizz bangs tonight but as it has been raining we are hoping that  everyone will decide not to bother with the whizz bangs this year!

Well, that would be a good result!

Lunchtime we went down for another walk but there was more rain so Holly and I headed back to the car instead of going to say hello to the fishermen and the ferrets got a run across the football field while Holly and I hung about at the back of the car waiting for OTL to open the car!

I wish he would hurry up, it's raining!
With a bit of luck the rain will have stopped by tomorrow and we can have fun on the beach!

We have heard that Little Tommy is feeling better, been chasing his tail and roaring around like wot a puppy should do, so has he been having us on with the Streptosheepandcatpoo or has he just pulled a muscle in his neck?

We don't care, just as long as he gets better!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

There is a new toy in the house!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Now, first of all, here is some news about Little Tommy Chops. It seems he has contracted 'Streptosheepypooandcatdroppings'. It's a nasty little bug that can be got from sheep poo or cat poo!
(loads of sheep around him but not sure about the cats!)

Or, it might have been got from unwashed food like raw carrots. We are still awaiting the final diagnosis but that is the favourite theory at the moment.

As you get older you are supposed to develop immunity to the nasty thing but little puppies are likely to pick it up.

Mind you, anything to do with cats is trouble, that's why we keep them out of our garden!

Claws crossed for Tommy and someone should tell him to stick to the rabbit poo, it's mostly grass and helps sort out your tummy grumbles!

Hey! Archie Babe, that Wee Scoop is wot OTL uses down this end of the world. I had trouble with my water works and he had to get a sample from me. Now the first time I was taken by surprise but the next time I was ready. I was taken out, on my own, on a short lead. I knew there was something going on.

Then, just as I got in position, OTL whipped out the wee catcher and shoved it under me.

So, I didn't go, I just walked on a few paces, then I did it again.

Then I walked on a few paces and again assumed the position, only to change my mind and walk on!

It was o much fun that I kept it up for ten minutes or so until I just couldn't wait any longer!

Now, we know that you don't subscribe to the Fluffy Ferret Forum but we like to look in and see what other ferret people are doing and get some tips on ferrets from Two Legs who have ferrets.

Now, for the last few days there has been a 'string' about food dehydrators. You see you can get ferret and woofer treats in the form of chicken fillets, which I just love, but if you go to Pets 'R' Us a bag costs just over £3! OTL has been hunting around on the Internetty Thing and found the same thing for £2 a bag, but he has to buy in bulk of thirty bags at a time! Loads of dosh!

Now this string is all about dehydrators and it is following two ferret people finding all about and learning to use a dehydrators to dry out chicken, beef, apples, oranges, bananas, carrot and a load of other stuff!

You can even produce Beef Jerky, which OTL loves, when he can get hold of it!

Now, you can guess what has happened, today it arrived and OTL and TM have been looking, reading and researching all about the thing!

Looking at the instructions, it will be about a ten hour performance to produce anything, but, if they can produce chicken like the chicken fillets it will be a great saving and also, all the dried fruit will be a great substitute for chocolate bars, choccy biscuits, crisps and fruit pastels!

As you can guess, OTL is trying to slim down a bit and loose his 'Tummy'. He is on a strict diet of salad and meat at the moment plus as many plums as he wants, but dried fruit to add to his nibbles seems like a good idea!

Of course TM wants to try it as well and all us woofers are just dying to taste the chicken or beef!

More news when it comes!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunshine and Blue Sky!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We stayed up late last night, watching a couple of DVD's 'cos The Missus went out to the village hall to host a 'Mid Week Glue Slap'!

Seems that some of these ladies can't always get along to the weekend workshops so a mid week do is just right for them, and it means we can have a break from watching the recordings of the Shopping Channel where TM's cards are being shown. I mean, just how many times does she have to watch it?

By the time we got up it was light and everyone was out walking on the beach or the grass. We had to keep a careful watch for woofers who fancy a 'Ferret Breakfast'!

There was one time when a Jack Russel by the name of Kira, came tearing along and little Miss May suddenly flew through the air into Old Two Legs arms!

When we got back, May and Eric went for their rampage around the house while OTL cleaned up the cages and Little May was so worn out that she wrapped herself up in our Doggy Towel and fell asleep!

One snoozy Ferret!
Today OTL got his new Winter Coat delivered, it's one of those that you can zip a fleece inside when it gets really cold and there is a hood that wraps right around his face so that you can only see his nose and eyes!

Of course, he had to wear it at the lunch time walk just so he can test it and the ferrets can have a look at the pockets and see if they can get inside and have a snooze if it gets too cold and wet outside!

Holly and I had a look but there was not enough room for us, and the ferrets, and OTL!

We have not got any more news about little Tommy but we have got our claws crossed.

Holly's eyes are looking better, not so red and sore, so the Conjunctivitis is  slowly disappearing and by the weekend it should all be clear.

Just in time for a wash and hair cut!

OTL says that providing we don't tell The Missus, he will give Holly a wash in the big tub in the garden then dry her off and give her a trim in the kitchen where it is warm and dry!

Now that should be fun 'cos me and the ferrets could sit by the door and watch!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Prayer for Tommy.

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now yesterday we heard some news that little Tommy, Izzy's puppy, was not feeling too good, seems he has a pain that the Two Legs can't sort out yet.

He has not felt like playing with the others and has staying in his corner feeling sorry for himself. He was at the vets first thing today and is having x ray's to see if there is anything obvious. He likes a rough and tumble and may have hurt his bones somewhere. We are all keeping our claws crossed for him and Holly and I include him in our prayers when we go to bed.

Today the wind has dropped away and it was rather warm out there. OTL didn't take his hat with him and he even put on his light fleece thing as well!

Mind you, he has ordered a big coat for the winter that you can wear a fleece underneath the coat, it is really warm and you can bet the ferrets will find a way of getting inside when the wind blows!

This afternoon Freddy was woken up to go out for a walk, he said he would have rather stayed in bed but OTL said he needed the exercise!

Freddy got a carry down to the beach and managed a walk over the sea shells and up onto the grass. That was when he said his paw was sore and fell over onto his back saying he couldn't walk another step!

OOO! I think it's broken!
No one believed a word but he did get a carry up to the top of the hill!

Holly decided that what she wanted was to use the sand to exfoliate her hair, that was until OTL told her off and put her on the lead until we got away from the sand!

I of course carried on digging just to wind her up!

Holly Chops, look at this hole I'm digging!
She was not amused!

This afternoon it was all work, work, work for OTL, he had customers to see and deliveries to make, so Holly and I had a snooze under the desk until he came home!

See you all tomorrow and paws together for Tommy!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

Holly gets into trouble with OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now you know that Holly Chops was taken to the vet to get her eyes sorted and that Old Two Legs cried all the way home? Well, this morning we all took a look at Holly's eyes and they were certainly a lot better looking than yesterday! All the redness had gone and although there was some gungy bits, there was definitely an improvement.

Now we all reckon that Holly brings it all on herself by her habit of nose diving into the sand on the beach and getting that in her eyes.

So, there we were, on the beach this morning and what did old Soppy Chops do? Yep, nose dive into the sand so she had a face full of sand all over her face and around her eyes!

OTL was not happy and told her that if she did it again she would be on the lead all the way home!

Now, the sky was rather dramatic this morning and of course, there was OTL snapping away trying to capture the drama of it all!

Now, it wasn't really as dark as the picture but he did darken it down a bit and also set the white balance to 'Cloudy' to get the effect.

Not bad for an amateur!

Dramatic!
If you turned away from the sun you got this picture below. Now wot is strange about this photo is the grey misty bit in the middle.

Shoebury Ness sort of disappears like it is being rained on, but it didn't  look like rain.......just strange!

It's the Halloween Mist!
Talking of Halloween, we reckon there will be more bangs tonight from those nasty whizz bangs, so OTL got the Adaptil Collar from off the shelf and wrapped it around Holly's neck last night. It seemed to help and she wasn't shaking for too long, but we did all end up in bed by eight thirty!

Now, someone, we can't remember, sent it to us about this time last year but the whizz bangs had all gone, so it was put on the shelf ready for this year. It is supposed to last about four weeks, so that should get Holly Chops through the whizz bangs, with a bit of  luck!

So, a very big thank you from us and Holly Chops for the collar and if you put your paw up we'll send you a big wet sloppy licky kiss from us all, except OTL, he doesn't do licky kisses!

The ferrets seem not to be bothered by the bangs, they are too sleepy to bother with them!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
