Holly has been dreaming again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Babe here!

Sometimes we have strange things happen here, like this morning. There we were all of us cuddled up on the bed when Holly starts yelping and snapping her teeth at nothing at all!

We all woke up, well everyone except The Missus, and we looked at Holly thinking she was having a 'Bad Turn'!

Suddenly she rolled over on her back and started kicking her paws like she is running after a rabbit!

Then, she stopped running and opened her eyes.

'Oooooh!' she says, I was dreaming about Plawn Clackers flying around the bedroom and I was chasing them and trying to catch them as they flew about!'

That Doggy has some Strange Dreams!

It's been another warm day and we have been discussing the sniffs you could get when chopping down a pine tree. We had to have some trees removed from our front garden and the sniffs were great! I mean, it all smelt like a bottle of pine disinfectant!

Now, we like the idea of a Dog Sitter coming to look after us, Izzy has got it made, all you have to do is show off when the doggy scoff arrives and the sitter goes into panic mode and telephones the local Take-a-Way and there you are, Plawn Clackers and Steak!

Trouble with us, we get taken everywhere that Old Two Legs and The Missus goes so bang goes our Plawn Clackers and Steak!

Holly Chops got the start of an eye infection and the vet gave OTL some jollop to put into Holly's eyes and now the infection has gone and she is back to normal.

All we have to look forward to is another visit for our yearly 'Poke and Stab' but this time we will be taking Miss May along so she can get her eye checked out!

It's all go here, TM has been working on the Master Class samples for this weekend and it looks all very professional! Holly wanted to help but paw prints were not on this weeks list of 'Things to Do'!

Now, wot's all this Rats Poo about a woofer not being able to forecast the weather?  Those computers just look at the past conditions and work out an average of possible cloud and rain movements. Any one with a basic Amstrad could do that! It takes a woofer and the wonderful sense of sniff to detect the fine change in the density of the molecule's that blow in off the North Sea!

And another thing, did you know that disagreeing with us could lead to a visit by the Woofer Squad and your Steak And Chips could be confiscated plus he could get a Woofers Warning which is very painful around the butt end!

So there!

Blooming TL's think they know everything!

We took May and Eric out this morning when we had our walk along the Sea Front but had to leave Monty and Wendy curled up together in the Cuddle Cup. Yes! They have been in there almost all day. OTL put Monty in the Cuddle Cup after his run around the house and soon he was asleep, then, OTL took the blanket which acts as a second bed, and put it in the for washing. Then, bringing Wendy in from her Hidy Hole where she snoozes in TM's Card Room, he put her in the cage, not the Cuddle Cup. A bit later the pair were all cuddled up together and Wendy has been seen getting up for a wee and getting back in the Cuddle Cup without Monty being thrown out of the bed!

Lunchtime we headed off again for a walk and spotted a TL teaching the worms to swim!

Come on, kick your legs!
The football field was looking like it could do with a splash of rain!

Sorry, no rain today, maybe tomorrow if your lucky!
When we got close to the Sea Wall I saw the tide was in and decided to go for a swim!

Unfortunately, OTL had thought of that and had put the lead onto my harness, wot a Rat Bag!

Come on, just a little swim?
So, there I was, all dry, hot and panting!

Still, the weekend is here and who knows, I might get a swim tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

All Tyred Out!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Mad Monty!

We have decided that Monty is a bigger coward than me! Like, I rush off on another path if I see any other woofers coming along the same path as we are on but Monty is something else!

Old Two Legs put Monty into the cuddle cup this morning after cleaning the cage. Monty was a little tired after the rampage around the house and quickly fell asleep. Miss Wendy was wide awake and ferreting about around the cage and the food bowl!

OTL had an idea!

He picked up Wendy and slid her into the cuddle cup next to Monty. Miss Wendy sniffed the back of his head the proceeded to lick his ear.

Now, in ferret world that is a very, very friendly thing to do.

Monty just sort of 'came too' realised what Wendy was doing and flew out of the cuddle cup like his tail was on fire!

If ever there was a moment when his life was going to change it was then and he blew it!

Well, at least they aren't fighting!
Miss Wendy decided that she wanted a ride in the ferret bag and every so often she would poke her head out of the bag and ask.................

Are We There Yet?
Of course, it took her a little while to wake up and in the end she got out, just in time to run back!

Monty though it all good fun and followed Holly and I as we went hunting sniffs in the long grass!

What sniff you found?
OTL had fun photographing flowers but the wind was blowing so he couldn't get a pin sharp

Funny shaped petals!
Miss Wendy, finally woke up and headed off for the car but towards the end she had to ask OTL for a lift, well, it was a bit warm!

Heavy going this is!
Later on OTL had to go out to see a customer so Holly and I stood guard and kept a watch out until he came back!

Is it him?
Tomorrow it is supposed that we will get some rain, not too much we hope, we are just getting used to this warm weather!

See you tomorrow!

Luv, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty!

It's Cool Man Just COOOL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Babe here again!

We had a laugh at poor Archie Babes misfortune with the violet thingy. I mean, if a woofer likes the taste then it's got to be good for a woofer!

Holly takes that attitude as well but sometimes the taste bites back and the 'Grumbly Tum' causes problems!

Mind you, she hasn't had tummy trouble for a few weeks and part of that is Old Two Legs keeping her off the beach!

This morning we took Eric and May with us 'cos they haven't been out for a couple of days and Eric was going stir crazy!

Miss May enjoyed herself on the football field, rolling in as many sniffs as she could find!

There is nothing better than a Weasel Wee Sniff!
Another good thing is she is keeping her eye open all the time, except when she is asleep!

There is still some drops left so she doesn't need to go to the vets yet.

Well, it's not so sore as it was!
Eric just loves it on the football field, not only are the sniffs great but he can run at full speed and get OTL to run along side him, just to keep up!

He loves running behind Holly and me, trying the sniffs we sniff!

OK, who fancies a run?
Lunchtime we had to go and pick up the little car. You know, it had been washed and a new set of carpets put in the front of the front seats!

OTL says he will get the big car in for some TLC next month, before we go away for our second holiday!

On the way back OTL dropped into the vet for the worming tablets and was asked 'Wgat do you want?' OTL, in a laddish voice says 'Worming Tablets Please' and the lady behind the till says he should go and see the doctor but OTL says that they recommended the vet!

The whole waiting room erupted in laughter!

Then the lady says that we have a love hate relationship and OTL says Yeah, you love to see me and I hate to pay!

More laughter!

The vet stuck her head out of the consulting room and asked how Miss May was getting on and for OTL to bring her back when the drops run out!

We have been getting ready for tonight, loads of nibbles, a bottle or two of giggle juice and a football rattle, just to upset the neighbours when England score!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

Temperature is Just Right!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Chops!

Well, it's started, the temperature is dropping and the clouds have returned again!

We took Wendy and Monty with us this morning and they both enjoyed the cool air and Monty walked all the way around the grass path!

Now, there's something we haven't seen for some time!
Down on the beach there was that green stuff, I wonder how long it will be before it decides to move on?

All green and yucky!
Lunchtime the sun was back even though the clouds hung about it was too hot for Eric and May to come with us.

Shall we tell Old Two Legs about this sniff?
The small car had to go in for its yearly service and it's the only time it gets a really good wash!

Tomorrow we have to visit the vets, it's that time when we have to eat those worming tablets. I mean, I know that we got to have them but why don't they make them taste nice?

They sniff horrid and taste worse!

It's going to be fun seeing how OTL plans to get us to eat them!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

There is a change coming!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Babe!

Another hot and sticky day today! Mind you, if you get up early enough it is rather pleasant down by the sea side.

Miss May has been opening her eye fully over the last couple of days and today Old Two Legs decided that she could join us on our morning stroll!

OK, I know it is a bit fuzzy but we think that the ulcer has damaged the corneal making it look misty, like a cataract.

Yeah! and the reflection of the sun as well!
OTL will take May back to the vet when the drops finish for an inspection and recommendation of further treatment, if possible!

When we got to the beach there was loads of green seaweed stuff all over the place, loads of it everywhere!

It's not as though we have had a storm overnight, maybe some sort of seaweed bloom?

Anyway, OTL wouldn't let us go onto the beach, just in case!

It might give us Grumbly Tums that lead to Sore Bums!
You can see where the high tide mark is by how far up the beach the green stuff is!

You can get some strange stuff washed up on the beach in hot weather!
Miss May hasn't been out for a little while so she was a little tired after running along the path and she asked for a carry. She does enjoy sitting on OTL's shoulder watching the world go past and of course, there is also OTL's ear to lick!

OK, the eye looks better and now I need a carry!
Lunchtime it was really hot, so Monty and Wendy were left in the cage to snooze the afternoon away!

Holly and I had fun on the Sea Wall while OTL was after the dragonflies again and today found a Green Darter!

We don't know it that is what it is called but it was the same as a Red Darter except it was green, not red!

It could be a Four Spot Greeny Darter!
Running along the Sea Wall is good fun 'cos the breeze blowing in off the sea means it is a little cooler and at the same time the concrete doesn't burn out paws like wot that tarmac does!

A Low Flying Holly Dog!
I think that tomorrow the temperature will be a little cooler than today, so, with a bit of luck both sets of ferrets can come out for a walk!

We haven't spotted Monty cuddling up to Wendy, maybe it is too hot. We saw OTL put Monty into the cuddle cup first and when he settled down, he put Wendy in as well.

Now, she had a sniff and climbed in without trying to beat up Monty but as soon as Monty realised she was in with him, he shot out like his tail was on fire!

We think Monty has got to be a little braver!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

Sunday, 8 July 2018

We are all allowed out today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty here!

Today Alun & Glynis headed back for home after a fun weekend and several gallons of giggle juice!

Unfortunately, Holly and I missed out on Plawn Clackers 'cos Old Two Legs let it be known that Holly was on a diet and if Holly couldn't eat it, neither could I!

It was horrible, we could feel ourselves wasting away watching all the Two Legs stuffing their faces full of tasty nosh!

OK on Archie Babes little visitor, we were in the vets one time when the vet was telling a TL that anti flea stuff would stop the fleas from setting up home and breeding but it wouldn't stop a flea from jumping onto a woofer.

So, maybe your little friend was just 'Passing Through' and would have jumped off at the first opportunity!

The ferrets were let out of their cages for a rampage around the house 'cos they haven't been let out since Thursday and were getting desperate to get out. Little Eric had nearly ripped the front door off his cage!

Monty and Wendy were getting all grumpy 'cos they were missing their game of chase around all the toys and chairs and sofa!

When they were let out they were bouncing off the walls, the furniture, the stairs and  Old Two Legs feet!

Today we will be getting ready for the F1 Racing, so OTL has to take us out early for our lunchtime walk.

We are having to put our old harnesses on 'cos the new ones a bit heavier and really only good for when the weather gets all cold and wet.

OTL says that as  soon as the weather 'Breaks' he will get the camera out and take a picture of us in this super duper harness. You know, it even has a handle on the top so OTL can lift us up into the car without getting his hands all wet and muddy. Not like our old one where all the mud and wet comes off our tummy and straight onto OTL!

The F1 Racing was fun and exciting at the same time, Lewis went from second to last and then back again to second and it would appear that he wasn't happy about the crunch he had!

Tomorrow it's Monday, back to work guarding again!

Hey, I was thinking, if we ever get stuff slapped onto us, we spend ages licking it back off again. Now, if Archie Babe has got Bum Cream on his paw, has he spent ages licking it off and.............

WOT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

Saturday, 7 July 2018

Another day on our own!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Babe!

Well, it's been a day of surprises, sort of!

On our morning walk Old Two Legs got a shot of a Red Darter who was having a rest before setting off on the day long mating flight!

I'm sure I'll be lucky today!
Although t he sun was well up before we got to the coast, OTL did manage to get this picture with the sun hiding behind the tree.

Another one of his ethereal shots!

We love a touch of the ethereals!
Of course, once he got beyond the tree the sun blasted down and another hot day had started!

Just feel that sun!
So it was a little earlier than yesterday The Missus, Old Two Legs and Alun & Glynis set off for the Kent Show leaving Holly, the ferrets and me to guard the house. Auntie Sheila dropped in to say hello and make sure we hadn't wrecked the house!

Earlier than we expected they were all back again saying it was just too hot!

OTL took one of his 'Artistic' shots of the steam engines chimney stack getting all warmed up ready for the show.

I'll huff and I'll puff until I'm good and ready!
TM got all excited when she found one of Lewis Hamilton's 2018 racing cars on show! OK, so it didn't have an engine or a gear box installed, however it was the real thing!

TM had a chat with one of the Mercedes staff on the stand and got loads of information about the car and the cost of things. Like, the steering wheel with all the buttons and stuff cost around fifty thousand pounds!

Better tell Lewis not to throw it next time he gets in a paddy!

TM getting close to a Silver Arrow!
Of course, they dropped into the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue stand and said 'Hello' to Roy and Chris and OTL also said hello to the family of ferrets he saw a short while ago on the day they found their way to Roy and Chris's care.

They were tiny little things only just opened their eyes!

Now look at them!

This lad is licking the ferret oil off the back of Roy's hand!
We were told that this years Ferret Show would be held on 24th November at the Harrietsham Village Hall, so we had better get all of the ferrets looking their best by then!

Now, how about this for a 'Progress Step', OTL went into the office where the ferrets live and checked them over and when he got to Monty and Wendy's cage he found both ferrets curled up in the same cuddle cup!

Now we don't know if Monty crept in while she was sleeping or she crept in while he was sleeping but OTL reckons it was Monty who got all brave!

Things are looking good!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty Babe.

Day One!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monster Monty!

Another hot day!

We were glad when we waved bye bye to the Two Legs this morning, even before when we went out it was hot and muggy, so they can wander around The Show getting all hot and thirsty while we shall be at home, snoozing in the shade and saying hello to Auntie Sheila!

Last night the Giggle Juice came out but try as we may, there was no nibbles dropped or sneaked to us!

Foiled again!

I must admit, we were a little bored today and even when Sheila dropped in to make sure we were OK, I wasn't on my best behaviour and didn't say hello as I should!

Mind you, when everyone returned Holly and I went potty and when Old Two Legs took us for a walk down on the sea front, I went in for a splash, even though OTL was shouting for me to stop!

That'll teach him to leave us on our own all day!

There were some pictures OTL took at the Kent Show, first there was..................

This is a Gyrfalcon with a funny hat!

Hey! I can't see a blooming thing with this hat on!
You just can't get the staff nowadays!

The Missus went off and purchased a sun hat to stop her hair catching fire!

Looks a bit like the Flower Pot Men!
There was the Household Cavalry riding around the ring to a load of music!

Ya put ya left hoof in,, left hoof out, in out, in out and wave it all about!
Then at the end of the show a ride galloped all the way around the ring holding the flag and we just couldn't decide which is the better picture, so you are getting both!

OK, Where's the gate?
 Then there was this one.

Quick, there's the gate and they are shutting it!
So, that was it for today but I did hear that they are going to get a Chinese Takeaway tonight so Holly and I may still get a nibble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

We can Sniff a change in the weather!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy Eric de Ferret and Monty here again!

The Missus got a shock when she picked up a ferret blanket from off the floor in the garden, there was a small grass snake underneath getting warm in the morning sun! According to TM it was only a baby one 'cos it was about two or three inches long.

Our garden has got all the ingredients for a grass snake, we got a pond with a boggy bit on the side.

We also got a big plastic bin that is a compost bin if the grass snake fancies a sauna!

I'm sure I don't like snakes but I've never seen one, yet, so I'm keeping a close watch on and grassy bit left in the garden, just in case!

Monty and Wendy came with us this morning and when we got to the sea wall the sea was flat calm. I mean, not even a small breeze!

All we need is a big sailing ship and we can call it a Turner type of picture!
Just for a change, both ferrets arrived, walked around and went back home in the travelling cage without so much as a squeak from Miss Wendy, progress!

This doesn't mean you can creep into my bed for a cuddle!
Back home Old Two Legs was busy getting all the last bits of paper into a neat pile so he can start working on them next Monday!

Lunchtime we left Eric at home 'cos he was a little tired after his rampage around the house. Miss May decided to stay as well 'cos it was getting too muggy!

OTL has been getting more drops in her eye and today she had her eye open more often than over the last few days, so, we have our claws crossed that her eye is getting better!

Because of the muggy weather we were not in the mood to dash about, it was more of a 'Sniff Day'!

Mind you, that caused me problems. You see, as I stick my nose into the grass and undergrowth a lot of the grass seeds and undergrowth seeds hang onto my nose and ears and head and all down my legs!

They don't half hurt when they stick in your legs and ears!

OTL was given the job of picking them all out including the ones between my claws!

Holly and I decided to stay on the path and sniff the sniffs there instead of hunting through the undergrowth!

OTL was interested in the flowers that were blooming at the moment and clicked off a few pictures!

Well, he didn't get as close as this but it made a change from the whole flower!
This one looked better showing the whole bloom, we did like the veins in the petals!

Just after we took this one a big bee landed and started munching away at the pollen!
This one is pretty, no insects but there was a sniff that started OTL sneezing again!

OTL reckons this is called a Hay Fever Plant!
Holly and I woofed at a couple of Two Legs walking along the Sea Wall and they both started to walk quickly away, like they were frightened of a couple of little woofers like wot we are!

That showed them didn't it?
I must admit, the heat was getting to me and I really didn't feel like chasing anything, not even the rabbit that appeared a bit further up the path!

I'll be glad to get back to a shady spot under the desk!
We are expecting Alun and Glynis to turn up soon and you know what that means?

Yep! They will be on the Giggle Juice and telling tall tales!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy Eric de Ferret and Mont.

Wednesday in the sun and OTL has to work!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty the Monster here!

Another warm and sunny day!

We do just love these sunny days, in fact it must have been years since we have had such a long run of good weather.

Mind you, the weather man says that today there 'may be an isolated rain cloud' whatever that means!
We took Monty and Wendy out this morning and they were both good little ferrets on the way to the beach but we did hear a squeak or two on the way back home!

Come on, sniffs this way!
The grass has gone a funny brown colour, not the normal green we are used to!

Old Two Legs got a call from one of his customer about their radio system 'wasn't working' so as normal, they were all in a panic and wanted him to attend..........NOW!

OTL said that he was working but would call in as soon as possible.

Then he took us for our midday walk!

I mean, things don't come more important than us woofers!

Down on the Sea Wall Holly was enjoying watching the ships go up the Thames and watching the sea gulls plonking around in the mud looking for their lunch.

Well, I wouldn't eat from that lot!
Eric, who had joined us for our lunchtime walk, agreed and said that you really had to be in trouble if you were going to eat muddy food!

I'd much prefer a Wriggly Mouse or a Shrew!
Eric joined me in hunting for wriggly things in the grass but he made just too much noise and scared all the mouses off!

Look, clear off and find your own wriggly!
When we got back to the football field Holly found wot she called a 'Super Sniff' and proceeded to have the most wriggly roll, in front of OTL!

Let's see him try to wash off this sniff!
Miss May is still causing havoc when OTL tries to put the drops in her eye, we think OTL has had more than she has!

Tomorrow we got Alun and Glynis arriving for the weekend and they all are off to the Kent County Show but without us woofers!

Not that we mind too much, Auntie Sheila will be looking after us and making sure we don't get into too much trouble!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.
