Chilly or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Sunday is always a sort of lazy time. It starts off with waking up  late, rolling over and going back to sleep for another half an hour, just to enjoy the warm bed clothes and pillow as a treat for being such good guard dogs.

Not in our house!

The Missus spend the evening snoozing on the sofa and heads off to bed earlier than us woofers, so, she wakes up earlier than us, meaning, all the lights go on!

Old Two Legs is sensitive to lights, they wake him up and when that happens, we get woken up by his attempts to get back under the duvet and pillow!

It doesn't work and that means he is awake and having nothing else better to do, he gets up and heads for the shower.

After all that Holly and I are forced to get up, get dresses in our harnesses and forced out into the cold!

Bang goes a Lazy Time on Sunday!

Lunchtime it's better, by then the sun is out and it's much warmer and there is always a chance of a rabbit!

Well, there was one here but I think it's run off!
There are several places where we could see rabbits but being Sunday, the visitors were down with their woofers scaring off everything that could move!

No, nuffin here!
Today Eric asked to go out with us but the lad didn't realise just how chilly it was. He spent most of the time sitting in the ferret bag with his head poking out to watch the world go past.

Roll on Spring Time and a run on some warm grass!
When we got back to the football field Eric agreed to get out and do some running.

He got out, had a sniff or two at the mole hole and then ran all the way back to the car!

OK, no mole, lets get back home!
When we got back home Eric was straight in to the cuddle cup for a cuddle to warm his tail and other bits that were cold.

Miss May had something to say to him when he tried to warm his paws up on her back and was told exactly where he could stick his paws!

Back to work tomorrow, well for OTL but us woofers plan to catch up our missing sleep!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Rugby Today!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Saturday came creeping in this morning with just a little smear of ice on the windscreen but that was it, no snow, no blizzards, not even a drop of rain..........boring really!

One good thing was that we had the use of the big car today 'cos The Missus is up the village hall slapping the glitter all over the walls again!

Us, on the other paw were off early and today there were just too many clouds swanning about to allow the sun through to provide Old Two Legs with  any form of sunrise.

OK< where is the sun?
It was different at lunchtime, the ferrets had been out of their cage for the morning rampage around the house and even May was chasing Eric and a couple of time she caught him and beat him up!

Eric just loves a game and he even gets caught by OTL who turns him over and tickles his tum!

We met up with Kelly the sheep dog who woofed at OTL, that was until Holly told her to Woof Off!

That's Holly, all mouth and tail!

Be warned woofer, OTL has us to look after him!
At lunchtime, OTL let's Holly and I to decide on which way we will go and it's always going up the hill and through the woods. Sometimes we kick up a rabbit but mostly it's birdy things fluttering through the branches!

No rabbits but is that a Niffler?
Down on the sea front there was little yappy the Jack Russell who was in a good mood and dashed around us in circles woofing her tail off!

Come on, let's play chase!
A little later, as the Two Legs were all having a chat, Kelly came bounding up to join in the game!

OK, no woofing but has anyone got the ball?
Of course, we didn't have a ball but we still managed a race around in circles around the TL's, that stopped them gassing!

Back home OTL was playing on the computer again, but his mood was a little better, nothing to do with the computer, it was 'cos there was the Scotland v Italy rugby match on the TV!

That kept him happy, especially as Scotland were playing such a good game and thrashed the Italians!

Then later it's Ireland V England, but no mention of Brexit or the 'Hard Border'!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

There's Sno Snow Down Here, Just Rain!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, I don't know about you lot out there but this morning I poked my nose out from the curtain to see what had landed in the road, like tons of snow.

What did I see? Puddles, loads of big wet puddles and not a single snow flake to drop onto my nose!

It was almost a disappointment, I mean, they have been going on about snow heading our way and I was looking forward to doing some skiing down the hills and even some jumping as well.

Instead, what did I get?

I got wet!

So did Holly and so did Old Two Legs!

It started as soon as we got out of the car, Holly wanted to go back and have a wee in the garden!

OTL said that as he has spent so much time and effort and money getting us to the football field, we were going to enjoy it no matter what falls out of the sky!

Holly said that tonight when he is asleep she is going to pee in his ear!

Just wait, I'll get him tonight!
All along the sea front the wind was blowing like mad. I mean, I had to squint 'cos the rain was stinging my eyes!

Never mind your eyes, think what will happen when we go back!
Holly was right, my tail got blasted by the rain and I ended up with a soggy butt!

It's OK for the sea birds, they got two eye lids on each eye!
We couldn't get back quick enough and as soon as we were through the door we got a rub down with our Doggy Towels.

You know the rain had gone right through to my skin and OTL had to make up a bed for me on the office desk top.

I had my blanket under me and a dry doggy towel over the top of me and I managed to fall asleep for and hour or so, just long enough for the rain to soak into the towel and my hair to dry off!

No, it's not a real Ferret, just a model and I'm on the bottom!
We all plan to have a lazy night tonight and tomorrow The Missus is off to her glue slapping thingy up at the village hall.

OTL is still having problems with the computer and on top of that his USB switch has died as well!

It never rains but it pours!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Minus 5 Degees and you want to go out?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here.

Now, we don't know what it was like where you are this morning but here it was cold enough to freeze the mercury in the thermometer!

Bet you thought we were going to be more 'Rustic' in our description!

Mind you, a quick look at the conditions I might even be tempted especially at minus 5 degrees!

If he thinks I'm sitting down on this grass, he has another think coming!
Looking back to the gas power station you could see that there was very little wind around!

Vertical Take Off!
We headed off to the Sea Shore and found that the sun was just climbing up over the horizon!

Now, guess what is coming?
It didn't take long before the sun started to poke it's nose over the horizon. After that it just blasted a warm feeling on the end of your nose!

Get ready for a warm feeling on the tip of your nose!
As soon as it climbed over the clouds Old Two Legs was looking at the frost on the plants. This one looks like the frost is growing thorns as it freezes!

Well, I don't fancy touching the thorns or the frost!
Lunchtime it was all warm again with just a few frosty patches in the shade of the bushes. It was a pleasure to see the blooms on the gorse bush. It seems to be the only bush that has flowers on it during the cold part of the year, Maybe with the exception of the Daffy Dilly plants that grow in our local church yard!

Well, it's better than looking at frost!
We loved  the tale of the missing paperwork, OTL is much better with paperwork rather than computers, he says that papyrus doesn't crash of get corrupted!

Then he started on how when he was on the road as a salesman, all his records were on paper and the report writing was all on paper as well!

Oh, Happy Days!

The computer is not very well and he is seriously thinking of going over to an Apple Thingy where the system claims to be better protected than the system he is using at the moment!

I can sniff chicken being cooked so we are off to sit at the kitchen door and wait for The Missus to dish it up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

I've Been Hacked!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again and only just!

See, it's like this. Old Two Legs switched the computer on this morning, just to see what has been happening in the world and for some reason couldn't open up Google and a few other web based programs!

PANIK!!!!!!!

So, there he was, fingers flashing all over the place trying to make it work. So far only a 50% recovery!

I can see that he will be loosing half of his programs that have been gathered over the years including his photography processing programs!

OTL is not a happy puppy and he thinks it may have started with a poison email!

While we leave him to his machinations Holly and I enjoyed a walk in the snow this morning! Well, it wasn't real snow but rather water that had frozen then along came some sleet which landed on the windscreen and the football field and froze again!

Down on the football field it was dark and cold!

Blow this for a game of woofers!
Today OTL brought the camera hoping for a sunrise photo but unfortunately there was too much cloud above the Isle of Sheppy and it turned into a rather uninspiring shot!

Not the best shot of the day!
Back home OTL has bashing away on the keyboards of three computers, all at the same time!

We managed to get him out for a walk at lunchtime and he managed to spot a rabbit!

Trouble was, the rabbit was so far away that there was no chance we would have got near enough to nibble it's tail, so we left it alone and carried on with our sniffing the snow.

No Rabbit, just snow!

So, the rest of the day has been spent trying to get the computers to talk to each other and then talk to the internet and finally talk to the email thingy!

I can see that there will be some more work to do tomorrow so that leaves Holly and I time to go off chasing cats and birds that hang around the garden. Unlike Artchie Babe, we don't  get squirrels!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Revenge!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We were up just a little late this morning and Old Two Legs was in a rush. So, off we went for the morning walk. It was lighter than normal and when we got to the Sea Front, there, on the horizon, just above the Isle of Sheppy was the most brilliant sunrise!

It was all red sky and yellow and purple and orange and black and brown!

Guess wot?

OTL had forgotten to bring the camera!

We are hoping that tomorrow the wind will have dropped and the sunrise will come back!

Now, OTL had to get back home 'cos Miss May had an appointment with the vet to check up on her general condition with the discovery of her Insulinoma and the medication.

OTL told the vet about the difficulty of getting the crushed pills down Miss May's throat!

They had a look on the pharmacy list of stuff to see if there was a ferret sized bottle but the smallest bottle stuff was for cats!

So, after some discussion OTL decided to continue with the crushed pill option and become an expurt on tricking May into slurping it down!

After a run around May and Eric went back into the cage and Monty and Wendy were let out, rampaged around the house and then back to their cage.

It was at this point that both Eric and Miss May started rattling the cage door, indicating they wanted to come out again!

So, out they come and rampage they went all around the office while Holly and I were banned to the bedroom for a pre lunch snooze!

The ferrets were all over OTL stopping him playing with the computer but in the end May headed off for bed while Eric decided he would have a racing game all around the cage.

As soon as Eric was in the cage Holly and I told OTL that it was time for our walk!

OTL decided that Eric was coming out with us to get the 'Pickle' out of him!

The walk started off with Eric riding in the bag, just to get around to the Sea Front!

Yeah! This is the way to travel!
Once we got to the Sea Wall Eric got deposited onto the concrete and was told to 'Walk'

Walk? On this? It's freezing!
OTL was true to his word and made him walk all the way back!

I decided to walk on ahead and survey the road back to the Football Field just to make sure the path was clear of Woofers and Nargles and Nifflers!

OTL had brought the camera so he took this fine picture of me, Super Dog!

A Picture just for Archie Babe!
When we got back to the Football Field we found that the Mole Hills have been flattened by the grass cutter, except for the pile of freshly dug earth from where the Mole Hill used to be!

Eric was straight in for a sniff and after a little while decided that the Mole was down the other end of the tunnel!

OK, come out with you paws up!
So, OTL got his revenge and has threatened Eric with a walk in the snow tomorrow if there is any more bad behaviour!

As if!

Mind you, I've not heard anything about snow this end of the world, claws crossed!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Over the Hills and Far Away!

Hello Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's Monday, so that means we are back to work today! We have been doing our guarding around the house. We both line up and march around the house, tails up and nose down!

We didn't find anyone that shouldn't be there and even when we walked past the ferret cages there was no sound other than the snoring that Miss Wendy makes!

Now, we just loved Archie Babes tale of the hole in the fence, it's the sort of thing that only Archie could do!

This morning we were up late, well Old Two Legs was up late and we got an extra half hour in bed!

One of the good things is that we saw the beginning of a sunrise!

It's the glow before the sunrise!
It won't be long before we get some big skies with loads of colour and dramatic clouds!

Lunchtime we were out up and down the hills. Now this is OK if you want to keep fit and we just love beating OTL up and down the hills.

Come on, we'll beat him again to the top!
We walked through the woods and found some super rabbit sniffs and OTL decided to try 'Caption' photography.

Now, what would you say about this one?

OK, Hands Up!
Now that was good and we went around the hills again, arriving at the stairs again, so, what would you say about this one?

Going up, TL Fashion!
You know I don't know how these TL can walk around on just two legs, I mean I'd keep falling over!

Back home we found Miss May dancing around her cage. She has been in a good mood today and she has taken her medicine like a good girl. Tomorrow OTL has to get in touch with the vet to discuss her medicine and whether or not to go over to a liquid medicine.

Claws crossed!

See you tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Silly Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now Sundays here are normally a very lazy sort of day, you know, get up late, have a snooze, slow walk around the Grain Sea Front, back home, have snooze, wake up, blag a nibble or two and then have a snooze!

That's just us woofers!

The ferrets are sort of doing the same except that they don't go to Grain Beach!

Now Miss May has to have a tablet every morning and there are times when she just doesn't want slurp it down. So, Old Two Legs has worked out a plan. He lets her get up when she wants and after a wander around the house she eats some Brambles biscuits and then asks for a drink.

That's when OTL gets out the crushed pill and with a little fluid and the.......SLURP!

Sneaky or wot!

Now, the ferrets like this snoozing stuff. It's a ferret thing to sleep around eighteen hours a day so it's not unusual to walk past the cage and see.......................

Miss Wendy and Monty having a 'Ferret Snooze'!
This morning The Missus was working away on a crafty thing and OTL walked past, stopped and picked up a pack of elastic string stuff. 'ere! he says to TM, 'wotts this stuff for'?

Well, says TM that's elastic string that I thread through these holes and then I stuff some pages in her and.............. OTL walked off saying his brain hurt with all the explanations and anyway, the ferrets were calling!

So, it was later after we came back from our walk that OTL walked past TM who was working away on thing and OTL says, wossat?

It's a Journal Cover that I told you about this morning says TM and OTL looks at it and then asks.....'Mmmm, so where does the knicker elastic go?'

It's amazing how fast OTL can move when TM picks up something to throw at him!

See you tomorrow when it's back to work time!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Saturday Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Well, how do you feel this morning? I mean, did you join Old Two Legs in celebrating Burns Night?

OTL always celebrates Burns Night on account he has a good excuse to have a bigger slurp than normal!

Mind you, The Missus says that if he want Haggis, then he will have to make it himself!

We got up late this morning!

Honest, it had nothing to do with the size and number of slurps!

We went out for our morning walk about an hour and a half later than normal which also means the sun had time to get up, unfortunately the sun got up but hid behind the clouds!

The Moon was out and looked worth a shot but really could do with some  filtering but as all he had
was a 35mm lens we got this!

OK, so, where is the Chinese Space ship!
Looking back towards the sunrise you can tell it's not out of bed yet!

Maybe in a few weeks we'll get some colour!
Lunchtime was exciting, we went the long way around and managed to get a run on the beach!

Can't catch me!
Now Holly may be quick but she just can't keep up with me!

Super Fast Flying Puppy!
We didn't hang about on the beach 'cos sometimes the sand gets in Holly's eyes and causes OTL to spend money at the vets!

Back home it was snooze time while May and Eric came out of the cage for a rampage!

It was a good job OTL closed the office door or Holly and I could have had fun chasing ferrets!

Doggy Scoff tonight so it looks like we got some serious mugging tonight or we may end up having to eat that stuff!

Now, we all must go 'Aaaah! on account Auntie Sue has got a cold and is feeling all 'Befuddled' well, a bit more than usual!

A glass of Horlicks and a warm bed is called for!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Rabbit Hunting!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

It's Friday again!

We love Friday 'cos it means that Old Two Legs finishes early and the weekend starts around four thirty!

Well, OTL should have finished by then and all the computers shut down!

As you know, we got out early for our morning walk and spend all the time in the dark. The idea was so that we could have a walk and not worry about big bounding bozo woofers chasing after us.

It seems that the idea has caught on, even at six fifteen, in the dark there are at least three other Two Legs out walking their woofers as well! There is one with a couple of loud woofin' bozo's then there is another TL who walks along with a high powered LED torch which gets shone all over the place, scaring off the rabbits and blinding us and OTL!

We don't reckon it would be any better if we come out any earlier than we do at the moment, there would still be TL's out with the woofers!

Now, talking of rabbits like wot we were before someone shone a torch at us, dark is good for hunting rabbit!

OTL knows the places where there is likely to be a couple of rabbits our for a morning munch of grass. So, carefully and quietly we sneak around the side of the bushes, spot the rabbit and go tearing after it. Only problem is, the bozo with the LED torch has alerted the rabbit and scared it off before we got going!

Lunchtime is becoming a bit quieter and there is a better chance of kicking up a rabbit or two!

The only problem is, we are down the bottom of the hill and we spot a rabbit, however, the rabbit is up the top of the hill and by the time we have run all the way up the hill, we're out of breath and the rabbit is gone!

I'm getting too old for all this stuff!
Although there has not been any rain, the day has been rather grey, a typical January day!

OTL took the camera with him at lunchtime but other than our harnesses, there was nothing colourful, so, he tries to capture interesting stuff with composition.

As we say, he tries!

Well, the thought is there but it lacks anything dramatic!
Maybe he should stick to close up stuff, with Spring coming there's bound to be some more buds getting ready to burst.

On the other paw, he could fit the 'Long Lens' and try photographing rabbits!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
