It was on a Friday when the Accountant came to call!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We were dead impressed when we got down onto the beach this morning. It had been given a really good wash by the tide yesterday, all the muck and rubbish has been moved further down the river now and we expect some fresh rubbish from up stream on the next tide!

Pass it on!

All clean and sparkling!
Both Holly and decided we wouldn't dig any hole in the sand 'cos it looked so good!

Wot about Paw Prints, can we leave them?
Lunchtime it was well up the beach again and both Freddy and Wendy said they would rather have a carry than leave ferret paw prints!

Instead we decided to have a game on the football pitch. Holly decided she would be one of the linesmen who is on the wing!

That didn't last too long 'cos she got all puffed out running up and down when Freddy kicked the ball towards the goal at the other end of the field!

It's no good, I've got to have a breather!
Of course, Freddy was in his element! Playing 'Keepy Uppy' then kicking it high into the air!

Come on, over here, on me head son!
Well, that didn't last long and Holly was flat out in the back of the car blowing like an old cart horse!

We had to get back early 'cos Old Two Leg's new accountant thingy person was coming to see OTL and talk about 'Books'.
Now we all thought that accountants played around with figures and number things so we were puzzled as to why he wanted to talk books?

When he got here we were sent off to the bedroom for a snooze until he left and OTL said that after all the accountant said he was as much in the dark as when they began!

OTL says that one of the reasons he employs an accountant is to do all the 'Book' stuff and leave him to get on with the real stuff of making a penny or two!

All together now........................

In this life, one thing counts
In the bank, large amounts
The Accountants job is counting beans
So, you've, gotta make a penny or two, yooooooooo
Gotta make a penny or two!

We said it was good of him to call on OTL like this but OTL says that he will be charging for his trip and time!

Hey! We can hear plates being put on the table, must be dinner time!

Tomorrow I'm off to the hall with The Missus to slap some glue and Holly Chops is off to an Agricultural College so that OTL can get instructions on how to shave all her hair off!

This is going to be fun when she comes home 'cos I reckon she will whiff like a Tarts Handbag!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Monsoon, High Tide and Floods!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Wot a day!

It all started off this morning when Old Two Legs over slept and ended up getting out of bed a whole hour later than normal!

Talk about a 'Lazy Woofer'!

Still, he paid for it 'cos when we got to the car park a big black cloud arrived over the top of him and proceeded to empty as much rain as it could muster down on OTL and the rest of us!

That was it, back to the car and listen to the radio until the rain stopped!

We met Barney II and his Two Legs and the pair of them were soaked through to the skin, they got caught in the rain!

We managed to stay out of the rain and watch it disappearing over to Sheerness!

Bye Bye Rain, Missed us this time!
May and Eric were still worried about the Nargle that was supposed to live in the grass above the steps, so they both kept a look out for it, especially Eric, 'cos he says he doesn't like Nargles!

Can you see anything?
In fact, Eric stopped at the steps and wouldn't go any further until OTL picked him up, sat him on OTL's shoulders and let him do a slow scan of the area!

No! I want an aerial view first or I'm staying here!
Back at the car we met up with one of the 'Bin People' who empty all the waste bins and Poo Bins.

May got a cuddle while Eric was hiding in the travel cage!

Yep! I like cuddles!
Lunchtime was a surprise. It looked like we had arrived at the High Spring Tide 'cos the water was right up the beach, further than it normally is!

The only time we had seen it higher was when we had a storm in the North Sea!

Look, the beach is getting a good wash!
I was having a good look and although it was sloshing about I decided that I would leave going in for a swim until next year!

No Holly, I don't fancy getting my paws wet!
Listening to the radio we heard that there were roads flooded down in Strood, just across the river from Rochester Castle. It's a good job there wasn't a Northerly Wind and a Low Pressure over the North Sea or we would have been in trouble!

Last night we managed to mug OTL for some of his venison burger and he had some cheese with the salad as well, so we had a bit of cheese as well!

Dunno wot is on the table tonight but Holly and I had our bowl of chicken this morning, so we are not exactly staring, well, not much!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

A Hunting Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Wot sort of day have you had?

Our day started off too early for me and we landed on the beach while the sky was still dark!

Gloomy or Wot?
We were all glad to get back home and start a game that we play every so often.

It's like this.

Holly and get to have a snooze on the bed while Old Two Legs  cleans out the ferret cages. The ferrets get a free run of the house so they can charge about having wot they call 'Ferret Fun'. Roughly translated, that means, let's get in every cupboard and hidy hole possible to nick anything that takes their fancy and if they can eat it, so much the better!

So, it starts off with Eric and May charging down the stairs and heading for the kitchen!

Now, Holly and I have got boxes of teeth cleaning chews and Bonio biscuits and nibbly mixer bits neatly stacked on the shelves of the butchers block thingy The Missus keeps in the kitchen.

The ferrets don't climb up the legs, they jump straight onto the shelf and into the boxes! That is, they grab everything they can before TM or OTL grabs the boxes and puts them out of reach.

By then the little thieves were legging it up stairs to find places to store their ill gotten gains!

After the cages were all done and the ferrets tucked up, Holly and I were let out of the bedroom.

The hunt begins!

Holly and I use our noses to locate the area where the goodies are hidden but the ferrets hide the nibbles in places where we can't get to without help. OTL gets a big woof and we jump up and give his chair a good shove!

That gets his attention!

Off we go and indicate the area where it's hidden and OTL starts moving boxes and chairs and other stuff so that Holly or I can get in and snaffle the treat!

It's a good game and Holly and I even pick up the ferret food they hide as well!

Talking of food, I think OTL has got salad and some sort of meat tonight!

Let's hope he doesn't hide it before we get there!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's been a Ferrety Sort of Day.

Yo! Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

It's been a day of ferrets today, it started this morning.
both ferrets were chasing Holly and I and trying to nip our back legs! Old Two Legs had to keep warning us when the ferrets got close to us so we could run a bit further ahead and carry on sniffing!

Mind you, we got our own back when we got home.

Now, you see the ferrets just love to pinch our stuff. You know, biscuits, chews, squeaky balls, bits of rawhide chews, Bonio Biscuits. Well, after they had their run about the house, OTL did the cage cleaning and played a game of chase with them, they finally went off for a snooze and Holly and I were let out of the bedroom where we had been snoozing.

The Missus had gone off to get her new glasses and OTL was left in charge.

Holly did it first, she jumps up and gives OTL's chair a good shove.

Then she leads OTL out into TM's Craft Room which is just a big store room for all her bits and bobs.

Holly indicates a spot where she is most interested in, and, after a bit of shoving and pushing boxes about, OTL finds a Teeth Cleaning Chew, brand new, that one of those ferrets had hidden!

Well, that was it, Holly chops had a treat!

Now it was my turn and I headed off into the store room and started to sniff.

Yep! I could sniff it but couldn't get to it.

OTL! I need your help!

This time he had to move a step ladder and a folding chair and folding trolley thing and under a pile of basket drawers there were three balls, a rubber bone and............A Bonio Biscuit!

A good mornings work!

Lunchtime OTL cut the ferrets claws and put their anti flea stuff on their backs. Trouble is, that stuff itches like mad until it dries, so Miss Wendy jumped onto Freddy's back and gave him a good scratch!

Yes! Yes! Now just over to the left!
Freddy found a half started hole in the football field and started to enlarge it so he can hide in it and jump out and surprise us woofers!

Now this looks like a really good hole!
He was digging like crazy and having a great time, until OTL told him to fill it back in and stop messing about with football field!

Come on, let's dig it a few more feet!
Back home it was fun watching the ferrets telling OTL they wanted a slurp of Ferretone, Eric has worked out that a lick on the arm and then point his nose at the bottle normally works!

I just LOVE Ferretone!
Of course, you can always tell him a funny ferret joke and get his attention that way!

.......and then he blew a raspberry on his tail!
Trouble is, ferret jokes are a little hard to get sometimes!

I think OTL has got venison tonight so we should be in for a nibble or two!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sniffin Nargles!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now, we have been doing some thinking and have decided that it's not Eric's birthday at the end of October. You see he was about three months old when Old Two Legs collected him from the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue and Eric will have been with us a whole year at the end of October, so his birthday was set for the first of June and I seem to remember we had a fun day celebrating his birthday!

So, now that is all sorted out, he can only look forward to getting stabbed!

Mind you, there is always the chance of sinking your fangs into the vet when he gets close with the needle!

You can tell Autumn is getting close, the mornings are dark when OTL gets up at six. Even the ferrets are still asleep and down on the beach it's a race to get down there before the sun gets up!

Soon we will be getting all colourful in the mornings!
Mind you, Eric says that getting up at the same time as OTL is OK cos he gets a cuddle and a slurp of Ferretone while all the others are still asleep, but, that also means he is first on the beach and that is something he could do without!

I'd rather have a nice warm cuddle!
Lunchtime was fun. We were on the beach sniffin' the sniffs when we spotted Max and Oscar walking along the Sea Wall and Holly suggested we creep along the bottom of the Sea Wall and when we got level with them, we'd both jump up and give them a good woofing and scare the tail off them both!

' It was Freddy that put a stop to that game 'cos he said that he could sniff Nargles on the wind!

Hey! I can sniff a Nargle and it's coming this way!
That was it, Holly and I got up on the Sea Wall and were doing our best 'Sniff Detect' and you know wot? We could detect the sniff that Freddy was talking about!

Ssssssh! Nargle coming this way!
Our big problem was that OTL couldn't sniff the Nargle 'cos his nose is not exactly as sensitive as ours and he seemed to be more worried about the ferrets keeping up as he headed straight towards the Nargle!

Well, as you would guess, the Nargle got a sniff of OTL and was off like a dragon with his pants on fire and we never got to see it!

We are off now to see what is for dinner, hopefully it is something we can mug off OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

OTL is in TM's good books.........the Creep!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We got an SMS from the vet, they want to see Eric de Ferret and stab him with a needle and charge Old Two Legs a fortune for the pleasure!

What they don't realise is that ferrets get stabbed every two years!

Still, it reminds us that Eric will have been with us for a whole year come the end of October.

So, that's a whole month to make up a Happy Birthday Song!

When we went down to the beach it was raining a tiny bit but not enough to worry us woofers!

A sort of misty rain!
One good thing was that there was a bit of a breeze blowing, that got rid of that yucky stuff we had seen the last two days!

These it is.........Gone!
Mind you, I still didn't fancy going in for a swim!

Miss May and I were hunting Weasel Sniffs today, it was good fun and we found two tracks!

You have to watch out for Weasel Poo as well!
Lunchtime we were out again with Fred and Wendy.

When we got to the beach and OTL put the ferrets on the sand, a bunch of Two Legs stopped and were all going 'Ooooooh! I see two ferrets'!

You would have thought that they would have come down onto the beach for a stroke, but no, they stood there on the Sea Wall, looking at us with their binoculars!

'Oooh, they look so big through my binoculars!
They didn't hang about too long 'cos Freddy turned around, waved his tail at them and did a big poo!

That got rid of them!

So Rude!
Not that Freddy worried, as he says, 'When you gotta go, you gotta go!

Back home the new dishwasher arrived and OTL installed all the pipes and cables and plugs and all that and then we put some plates and stuff in and ran the 'Pre-Wash' just to check for leaks. All dry and working well!

OTL was given a cup of tea when he finished! A sure sign TM was happy with the washer.

Now we are all rushing around collecting grubby plates and drinking bowls and dinner bowls and tea spoons and plates, all trying to fill the machine up for a 'Real Wash'!

OTL is still on the salad stuff, we don't do green food, unless it's a bit of grass when we get a dicky tummy!

Lucky for us, OTL will be getting a bit of steak tonight.

Guess who is going to help him finish it off!

Next Saturday OTL is off to the local Agricultural College for a day of being told how to clip woofers properly.

Just to be on the safe side, I have agreed that Holly goes with OTL to be the woofer wot gets bathed, clipped and stuff!

I'm not daft!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Saturday and we have almost caught up!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Saturday is with us and Old Two Legs is getting close to being up to date with all his stuff!

He always says that a two week holiday takes three weeks to sort out when you get back!

At least the paperwork is all done and now it is just the 'engineering' to do!

We got down to the beach this morning in time to see the mucky stuff sort of floating on the water, what we need is a good storm to beat it all up and wash it away down stream!

All this mucky stuff stops me having a swim!
May and Eric had fun digging on the beach but even they said they wouldn't go in for a swim!

OTL has got a new dishwasher arriving on Sunday, so, this morning he disconnected the old one and put it outside on the drive so the delivery people can take it away!

He had to pay for that but it would be disposed of properly and also he has got them to take away the packing as well!

There is one small problem, the delivery times start at seven in the morning!

Never mind, we will be there to make sure everything is done properly or they will get a good woofing!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy came out with us. Wendy just loves a good run on the beach and digging holes and hunting for mouses as well!

Freddy, on the other paw, much prefers a carry down to the beach, a quick roll, then he gets OTL to pick him up and gets 'carries' all the way back to the football field where he gets down and has a run across the football field!

On the way back we spotted a snail half way up the bush with the red leaves. Holly asked the snail why he was so far up the bush and hanging onto the leaf?

'Well' says the snail, ' I've heard that we got the back end of the bad weather from the U.S.A. and I'm making sure I'm above the water and on something that floats if the water gets any higher'!

Holly pointed out that the snail was in fact so twenty metres above sea level and if the water should get up to him, half of the South East will be floating away on the tide!

.....I don't care, I'm staying warm and dry!
We left him to it and headed home!

Holly was singing a song........I am Snailing, I am Snailing, Home again, across the sea!

She can be a right wag at times!

We are off now to investigate what is for dinner and whether or not we can get a nibble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

This slimming is a real drag!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

It's been a sort of 'Middling' day today, nothing over exciting but 'Busy'!

Old Two Legs has been 'Manufacturing' so that has kept him out of our way! The problem we are having is that when he gets a cup of tea, there are no Chocolate Chip Cookies for Holly and I to snaffle!

I mean, that is one of life's little pleasures!

It's the same at lunchtime, like, what sort of woofer will eat a salad sandwich, made with brown bread, Yuk!

Talking of Yuk! This morning we got onto the beach to find a horrid sniffy load of stuff that had come down stream over the last tide!

Holly and I took one sniff and headed back up the beach!

I don't care wot it is, I'm staying well away!
You know, even the ferrets said they were staying well up the beach and well away from the mucky stuff!
I wish the wind would change and blow it out to sea!
We spotted Boo and Polly playing games on the Sea Wall. The game was, Let the Two Legs get ahead, then walk the other way!

Polly is very good at that and Boo is getting good as well!
Yo! OTL, what's that sniff?
Miss Polly, as normal, was more interested in the ferrets and whether they tasted like chicken or not!
I would love a bit off the flank of the big one!
Eric said that if she cam onto the beach he would sort her out!

I almost think that he would 'cos he is always trying to give Holly and I a 'Nip' if we hang about too long!

Lunchtime there were a couple of woofers who had been in for a paddle in the yucky stuff and sniffed terrible!

They were put on their leads to stop them from getting too yucky!

That'll teach them!

But we only wanted a little paddle!
Miss Wendy and Freddy enjoyed a dig in the sand and a run along the Sea Wall but as normal, Freddy said he had a thorn in his paw and needed a cuddle!

I can feel a Sore Paw coming on!
Back home we were given a half a carrot each. I offered mine to OTL 'cos that is all he is allowed during the day time!

He wasn't amused!

The Missus is out at the village hall for some more glue slapping, so, that means we could be in luck and raid the kitchen cupboards for some Cookies!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Day for Having a Roll!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now, you know wot today is?

Yes! It's Archie Babes Mums Birthday and she is all of Dumpty Dump Years old!

So, if you are all sitting in a line, tails straight, one paw raised.

After three, ........One, ........Ninety Nine........Three!

Happy Birthday to Yooooooo!
Have a roll in some Poooooo!
Now share your cake with your mates!
Happy Birthday to Yooooooooooooooooo!

Yeah! Woofing Good Day! Kebab and Chips Tonight?

We have had a good day, well, loads of sniffs for all the woofers!

We landed on the beach a little earlier than normal and the gulls were still paddling in the rock pools.

Never mind the woofers, find me a worm!
First Miss May found a sniff on the beach and had a really good roll in it!

This is just right for a little ferret like me!
After she had finished I went to see what it was.

I found a crabs arm and claw buried in the sand and as I was about to try it out, Old Two Legs told me to leave it alone!

Spoil Sport!

Through the morning the sun started to shine through the clouds and by the time we went out for our midday walk it was all bright and beautiful!

Sunshine at Last!
Holly made the most of the sunshine and found the rest of the cram and gave it a good rolling!

Ooooh! That feels sooooo gooood!
On our way off the beach OTL spotted this very small spider sitting on the hand rail. He said his name was Cedric De Spyder and he has taken over possession of the hand rail!

We asked what would happen if a Two Legs tried to use the handrail?

I'll bite their paw off and beat them with the soggy end!
That's one very brave spider!

We are now off to see what is for dinner, OTL's not ours!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wednesday, 27 September 2017

Wednesday already and we still haven't caught up with the sniffs!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

Wot a misty old day it's been today!

We got out good and early 'cos Old Two Legs had a load of work planned for today and he decided to get the ferret cages cleaned good and early. Not that the ferrets allowed that, as soon as they got out they proceeded to play ferret games like, 'Nibble the Toes' or 'Giss More Ferretone' which all involves OTL stopping the cleaning and paying attention to what they want!

Down on the beach it was very misty first thing, nothing interesting to see and no ships going past either!

I see no ships!
Mind you, we couldn't even see Sheerness either!

Wot we did see were the colours of the bushes by the side of the path, even in the misty light they still looked very autumnal!

Yep!  Autumn is a coming!
We didn't get any improvement in the mist when we went out at lunchtime, Sheerness poked its nose out from the mist but didn't stay long!

There! Look! It's Sheerness waving back!
OTL decided to leave the misty bits alone and look for any bright colours he could find. He spent some time chasing a butterfly around but it wouldn't settle long enough for him to take a photo, so, he had to settle for the wild 'Sweet Pea' sort of plant by the side of the path.

Mind you, it wasn't easy 'cos there was a breeze blowing and that was making the blossom move about something terrible!

Just stop for a second or two!
We got to the beach and although the tide was out, Holly and I had some fun rolling in the sniffs on the beach.

Most of the sniffs were of dead crab or whiffy limpet!

I just Looooove a Gooood Roll!
Holly decided to tart about on the beach and kept of running up to OTL saying ' Take my Picture, Take my Picture'!

.....................................and this is my 'smiley face' so, Take my Picture?
Back home OTL got a few orders all packed and ready to go to the carriers, so that was another job jobbed!

Tomorrow he is expecting to see a delivery of some more stuff that he will need to work on before sending them off to the carrier!

It's all go it is!

Now, all this diet stuff is getting very boring. Every time OTL gets lunch it ends up being ham sandwich with a mountain of salad, not the most appetising lunch a woofer could have, I mean, have you tasted those onions? Do you know what a plate full of radishes will do to your backside?

Enuff of these things, we are wondering what is for dinner tonight, something fattening if we are lucky!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
