Monday Fun!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, we had a good day yesterday, no sign of a squirrel, but, loads of sniffs!

The ferrets said they had a good day with plenty of time to catch up on their sleep!

We reckon Freddy slept all day and all night 'cos today he was tearing about all over the place and play fighting with Old Two Legs this morning!

Down on the Sea Wall this morning it was cold, I mean, like there was a strong breeze blowing in off the sea and we were glad to get back into the car!

It's as cold as it looks!
Lunchtime we took Eric and May out for a walk but they stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms for most of the walk.

Holly and I went after the sniffs but the wind was chilling them, so we couldn't really enjoy them like wot we normally do!

So, what else could we do?

Mole Hunting!

We got back to the football field both Eric and May wriggled to get down from OTL's arms and headed to the mole hills.

There was one that had more earth thrown up so Eric and May got digging to see if the mole was still there!

I'm sure I can sniff something down there!
Holly and I set to on a couple of mole hills down the field a bit but there was no sign of the mole. We reckoned it was back in bed eating a lunchtime worm or two!

Mole Sniffs but no mole!
We decided to visit all the Mole Hills together and see which one is the strongest sniff but we still couldn't decide where the mole was hiding!

Nah! No Mole Sniffs in this one!
In the end we all got fed up and headed off to the car to get warm again!

We didn't go straight home but rather of to deliver some stuff down to one of OTL's customers who was panicking for some stuff!

Then it was back home for a snooze and one of our chews!

Let's hope that tomorrow it gets a bit warmer!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We go a visiting!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Well, today we have been visiting Uncle Alun and Auntie Glynis who are Old Two Legs cousin. They live in Surrey and are moments walk away from a forest! We have been  here before but it is always great fun 'cos there are loads of squirrels running around the place and as you know, Holly and I do love a good squirrel chase!

Most of the time we have been listening to them laughing and talking and it seems like OTL is off to Scotland with Alun a bit later this year looking for Sea Eagles!

Mind you, that means The Missus will have to look after us and take us out for walks and read us a bedtime story like wot OTL does!

We haven't taken any photo's today 'cos OTL spent all the time chasing after us who were chasing squirrels!

OTL said he saw a rabbit but we didn't believe him 'cos there were no rabbit sniffs anywhere!

Just when we were getting comfortable, we were left on guard duty while they all went out for a meal and you know what?

There were no Doggy Bags brought back!

All we had were Brambles biscuits and water!

If we are lucky, we may get chicken tomorrow, claws crossed!

We are off to bed now, it's been a long day and we have got to tell the ferrets what we've been up to today and hear their tales!

Bye Bye for now,

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Ferweezing Weather!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you.

Now, as you know, down here in the South East we get all the best weather. While the rest of the UK is freezing or stuck in snow or floating off down a flooded river, us lot are sunbathing on the beach and sipping ice cooled drinks!

Unfortunately, today, it wasn't like that, there was a stiff wind blowing in off the North Sea and as you know, the first thing a North Wind does when it lands on these shores?

It blows right up our tails!

It was not nice, in fact it was horrid!

It's Brass Monkey Weather!
We didn't go down on the beach, mainly because Holly Chops has been banned from digging up the sand with her nose 'cos her eyes are still being treated by Old Two Legs and he says that he isn't going to pay out any more money for self inflicted conjunctivitis!

We did get a look at the beach and it had been washed of all sea weed and rubbish but OTL still said 'NO!'
But it looks soooo tempting!
Back home we watched some TV and caught up with the last of the Britannia series, good and blood thirsty!

Those Romans were a right lot of thugs!

Holly was rooting for the Druids but they headed off to North West Wales to get out of the way!

Lunchtime we went out again and this time OTL took Freddy and Wendy and both stayed cuddled up in OTL's arms until we got back to the football field where they had a sniff of the mole holes but decided that a warm car was the best idea!

It's all yours Daisy Chops, I'm off!
Tell you wot, I think Izzy and her gang are really big and brave going for a hair cut this time of the year. I try to keep all my hair until Spring Time arrives, all this Short Back and Sides stuff can leave a girl with chilblains!

I don't look too bad with a bit of hair unlike Holly Dog who looks a bit of a scruff bag!

The Missus is out today so we have been having nibbles and TV this afternoon. Mind you, Holly will have to clear up all the carrot bits before TM gets back or OTL will be in trouble........again!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Soggy Saturday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know, it is strange how the weather can be quite acceptable during the week but come the weekend, it's YUK!

Today has been like that, as soon as we stuck our noses out of bed, it started to rain. Then when we went out walking, it started to rain!

It was so wet that Old Two Legs only took one picture, a wet bunch of Sea Kale and no, I have no idea why either!

.....and it's wet as well!
Back home there was some chicken and a nibble but we were banned to the bedroom while the ferrets rampaged around the house. Holly and I didn't mind 'cos that means we get a chance to snooze!

Lunchtime we left the ferrets snoozing their tails off and headed off to the football field where we see that the Mole has been working overtime!

Well, I managed to wee on three of them!
We have never seen a live mole but they seem to be good at digging!

Holly and I saw a dead one a few years ago at some RSPB bird site on the Norfolk coast.

I spotted a balloon that had fallen from the sky and landed in the water, I rushed down but it was too big to bite and anyway, OTL told me not to go in the water, or else!

Well, how about a little bite?
Then it started to rain again!

Back home we had a good roll on the carpet to dry off our backs before settling down with OTL to watch a couple of episodes of Britannia on the TV.

We can only watch it when TM goes out 'cos she doesn't like the blood and guts!

So, we plan an evening cuddled up with OTL, a smallish malt whisky and some nibbles.

The whisky is for OTL while the nibbles we get to share!

See you tomorrow and let's hope it stops raining!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Moling we will go! A Moling we will go! A Moling we will go!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Holly has been a bit put out today, you see we get a Bonio first thing every morning so we can have a nibble while we are waiting to go out for the morning walk.

Holly is very possessive and she doesn't like anyone near her biscuit.

Today was great, I was down stairs watching the dustbin men turn into the road and as soon as I saw a yellow coat I went into Woofer Mode and gave it seven sorts of woof!

Holly, thinking there was someone trying to get in the front door, cam flying down the stairs growling and woofing. She stood by the window and told them what they could do with their bin!

I, on the other paw, saw an opportunity and legged it up stairs, found Holly's Bonio and hid it where the ferrets hide their squeaky toys!

You know, it took her a whole hour to find it!

This morning was cold and windy, more windy than cold but the wind made it feel colder! We didn't hang about and there was nothing new to photograph so it wasn't too long before we were home again!

Lunchtime the wind was still blowing but because the sun had come out, it wasn't as cold as this morning. So we had more time to enjoy the sniffs!

Well, it sniffs like that Bozo Dylan!
When we got to the football field we all got a little excited. I sniffed something fresh and started to investigate!

It's a Mole!
I started to shovel earth for all I was worth. Holly wandered off mumbling something about Bonio's and not trusting me!

As if!

Miss May had her own mole hill to investigate and was soon throwing earth up in the air as she tried to get to the mole hole!

I'm sure there is one here!
Freddy waddled over to another pile of earth, took a sniff and decided that the mole was not there, so he waddled off towards the car!

No moles here!

Back home we found that dinner had been served, Doggy Scoff! Yuk!

You would have thought by now they'd have got the message!

This weekend The Missus is off for a Master Class so we are planning two days of nibbles, songs and some TV programs we have recorded!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Not another Blue Moon!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret with you again!

Well, wot a lot of excitement there has been on the TV about the Blue Moon and it wasn't even blue.

Except our picture!

We were out early this morning and Old Two Legs was clicking away at the moon, not that it was any other colour than normal, however, he should have brought a tripod but the best shot isn't too bad!

Not a Spaceman to be seen!
Back home we spent the morning snoozing in with OTL while he was messing about on the computer. The ferrets, after their rampage around for an hour, headed back to bed for their morning snooze which is followed by their midday snooze. Except if it is their turn to go out for a walk at lunchtime!

Today it was high tide when we got to the sea shore and OTL said it would be a bit dangerous to go on the beach and of course, Holly had to keep the sand out of her eyes!

High Tide!
We kept to the sea wall and then off up the hill. Both Freddy and Wendy tried to stay cuddled up in OTL's arms 'cos the wind was rather chilly!

When we got back to the football field Freddy decided he would have a little run and a Little Run was what he had! He must have taken twelve steps, stopped, dug a small hole in the football field, then asked to be picked up again!

OK, I need a carry now!
That Freddy can be a lazy little ferret sometimes! Miss Wendy, on the other paw, was up for a run and a sniff, then she asked to be carried and then within two minutes she was wriggling to get down, again!

Back home we all crashed out for our 'Afternoon Nap'!

Not sure what OTL has got tonight but Holly and I have been served up a big bowl of chicken and we saw The Missus boiling up the leftovers to make soup!

We seem to use everything there is of the chicken and the boiled out bone are the only thing that gets thrown in the compost bin!

This weekend TM is off to her Master Class so we will be having a good time with OTL, you know, paw up, on the sofa chewing away on a Bonio or Teeth Cleaning Chew!

It's Holly's turn to pick the film and I reckon she will want to see 1001 Dalmatians, just so we can woof at Cruella De Ville!

We know how to live!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's a Blue Moon, sort of!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, what a day, we've been out at the crack of dawn looking for UFOs in the sky and we thought we had one but the camera never lies and it was an aeroplane heading for Heathrow!

It might be a OoooFOoo!

Then it got closer!
We got home to find Holly's eye was getting no better, even though Old Two Legs has been washing her eyes every day. They were still sore, so, a telephone call to the vets and an appointment made for late this afternoon!

Lunchtime it was Eric and May's turn to go on a run about but Eric decided to stay in OTL's arms until we all got back to the football field. It was only then that he agreed to have a little walk across the field.

There were a load more Mole Hills and Holly said that it wasn't Moles but rather Ferrets wot made the mounds!

Eric got all upset cos he was being blamed for something he hadn't done!

No, it weren't me, Honest!
It was Holly who pointed out that if there was some misbehaviour, then the normal culprit was Eric and he shouldn't get too upset 'cos it was his own fault!

OTL said that it couldn't be Eric as the mound had been pushed up from underneath, so it must have been a mole and not Eric!

Eric was pleased with that explanation and told Holly to 'Woof Off'!

When we got back home and put the pictures up on the computer we decided that the picture of Eric showed him in a good pose. So, OTL enlarged the picture and her we are.......

Eric de Poser!
Now, we had seen on the news that there would be a 'Blue Moon' in the sky tonight only we wouldn't see it!

The moon is very close to the earth and today the earth will be between the sun and the moon. The sun will still be able to get some light on the moon by shining through the atmosphere and that will make the moon look red.

It's called a 'Blue Moon' 'cos the alignment of earth, sun and moon only happens 'Once in a Blue Moon'!

On top of that, when the sun, moon and earth all line up, it will all be below our horizon, so we wouldn't see it anyway!

So, the moon will be red and not blue and we won't see it and we don't think that is fair, so, Holly has been working on a picture OTL took of the 'Blue Moon'!

There's your Blue Moon after all!
We are off to mug OTL 'cos he has got Pork and Egg Pie tonight, with salad, so he can keep the salad while we have the Pork Pie!

Bye, bye!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

We see some strange things!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now there are days when there are new things to see, like Old Two Legs falling out of bed. Or maybe Miss May jumping onto OTL shoulders from the top of the cage or even Holly offering to share  her dinner with me.

Mind you, that has not happened yet!

Well, there we were heading towards the beach when we spotted a ship heading up the Thames. It was going slowly, which is not unusual but there was a mighty tower stuck on top of it!

At first we thought it was a container ship but when we zoomed in on the photo it looked like a it was a sort of drilling rig.

What do you reckon?

Well we dunno!
That was taken with a slow shutter speed 'cos the sun hadn't got up yet but you can see the tower.

When we got back home OTL did some investigation on the internetty thing and found it!

It was a drill ship, it's called the Sertao! At the moment it is parked up on the Thames at Tilbury!

Wunderful thing this internetty thing!

Down on the beach OTL was clicking away at the sun rise but the sun wasn't ready to poke it's head above the horizon!

Now, that is worth getting up early for!
Back home OTL has been reorganising the office computers, trying to get a little more space on the desk!

Now that he has finished he finds out he has run short of sockets for the plugs so next thing will be a trip to the shop to get another extension lead with more sockets!

Lunchtime we took Fred and Wendy down the beach but the pair of them decided that they would rather stay cuddled up i OTL's arms, that was until we got back to the football field when they agreed to walk across it back to the car!

Holly was talking about the summer days and how she enjoyed sun bathing on the beach but today it was rather damp on the beach and as much as she wriggled, it wasn't as good as a summery warm sand!

Roll on some warm soft sand!
OTL wouldn't let he stay on the beach 'cos she might get sand in her eyes and get another dose of conjunctivitis!

OTL says that she has to keep clear of that 'cos it costs a fortune to get some stuff from the vet!

With a bit of luck, we should be getting some chicken tonight!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Monday and it's back to work again!

Hi Ho Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

Well, the weekend is over and we are all back to work. Old Two Legs has turned on the computers and The Missus was up early sloshing the glue all over the place.

Holly and I had been up during the night doing our 'Rounds' all over the house checking for intruders and singing our 'Guarding Songs'.

The ferrets were asleep for most of the night except for the urgent rush from bed to 'Poo Place' on the ground floor of their cage.

OTL woke up at the normal time, that is when TM forgets and switched the TV on and finds the volume was set for 'Full Blast'!

Down on the beach we went on a 'Sniff Hunt' to see what has been left behind by the weekend visitors.

Of course OTL was clicking away, as usual at the lights in Sheerness, I reckon one day we must take a trip over there to see what it is like from the other side!

OTL has talked about taking his camera and the UV torch he brought on line.

We asked him what he was going to photograph and he said 'Scorpions'!

Scorpions? Woofing Heck! They got nasty stings in their tails!

Well, if he is going over there, he is on his own!

Lunchtime comes along and TM has been riding around on her jet powered carpet sweeper, OTL has been sending out invoices, (he like doing that!) and we have been catching up on our sleep!

So, he slurps down the home made soup, digs Eric and May out of their sleeping bag and off we go looking for escaped Scorpions, well, you never know, they might have flown over the river to us!

Is that a Scorpion swimming towards us?
Down on the sea front we were extra careful about where we were sniffing, well, you never know!

Well, we didn't find any Scorpions and there were no new interesting sniffs!

The docks in Sheerness seemed to be rather busy, we saw a couple of car carriers pass each other, one in, one out!

We managed to get back home before the rain started and the puddles got any bigger.

Unfortunately, we got Doggy Scoff today and it's one of the ones that sniff of something poo'y. I suppose that we will have to mug OTL tonight and if we are starving, we may have to have a mouthful before going to bed!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunday, 28 January 2018

It's Sunday, so the Bozo's are out!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Sunday is a fun day, you see we get loads of visitors walking along the sea front, strange woofers and even stranger Two Legs!

First thin in the morning we only meet the locals 'cos it's just too dark to see anything that doesn't have lights on!

We have seen a couple of black Labradors with LED lights on their collars and they did look daft, especially as they were still on their leads!

Not a Labrador to be seen!
One of the things about a weekend is that there are loads of new sniffs from the visitors!

Hey! Another sniff here!
Just for a change, we came back along the Sea Wall and when we got to the steps Holly pointed out that the rust seems to have got to the railings!

We'll use the other steps thank you!
Lunchtime we were out with Fred and Wendy but there were so many visitors that they spent most of the time in Old Two Legs arms blowing raspberries at the woofers!

Of course, there were the Two Leg visitors with all the same questions and misconceptions about ferrets!

OTL had brought his binoculars and Holly borrowed them to look at the birds on the mud flats. Just for a laugh, she turned around and looked over towards Southend on Sea. There was the pier poking out into the River Thames and loads of Two Legs walking along the sea wall.

Then she spotted them, there were a couple of Bozo Two Legs jumping up and down and waving their arms about. We don't know what they were doing it for but hey, it's the weekend and let's face it, anything can happen if you are on 'The Dark Siide'!

Back home for a snooze while The Missus cooks our chicken!

I'm dreaming of chicken leg and a little bit of thigh followed by a big lump of breast, Yum, Yum!
See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!
