Did you see it?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Normally we go for our morning walk in the darkness and we come back in the dark but today we woke up just a little late, so that means we saw the 'Pre Glow' of the rising sun!

Well, it's a bit earlier today!
OK, well I know it's only a tiddly bit earlier but it is earlier!

Spring is on it's way and then Summer follows and that means swimming in the sea, digging in the sand up in Scotland!

To celebrate , the Wormy Men were out this morning, a sure sign that the light had come and tide was out!

Quick, there is another one there under the sand!
One of the things against being late is that you meet up with loads of other woofers and being dark they don't know who you are until they get up close. Take this morning, there we were sniffin' the sniffs when this loud woofing noise came bounding down the hill planning to do all manner of stuff to us, that was until Old Two Legs whipped his camera out, switched on the flash and took his picture!

Woofin' Heck! What the *$^&! was that!
That stopped him in his tracks, he took one look at where the flash had come from, woofed once and then legged it back up the hill!

That'll teach him!

The rest of the day has been spend cuddled up to OTL on the chair and watching TV, well, It's almost Christmas and all of his customers have closed up and won't open again until the New Year.

OTL says that it's great having a holiday but he does get a bit bored half way through. That's his trouble, he's a Work Junkie!

Maybe we should get him a job with Santa Paws delivering prezzies, providing he doesn't get stuck down the chimney!

Chicken tonight!

The Missus has been resting her eyes, it's OK but the snoring is a bit loud and as we have to turn the volume up on the TV but as soon as she wakes up she shouts at OTL telling him to turn it down!

There are times when you just can't win, well that's what OTL says!

See you tomorrow!

Eye, Eye Missus!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Here we are again, The Missus had her Cattle Rack done yesterday. It was late in the afternoon when she went in and late by the time she came out!

In fact it was so late that dinner was cancelled and Old Two Legs had to get a Chinese Takeaway!

Not that we worried, Plawn Clackers, King Plawns and Specially Flied Lice!

Mmmmmmm!

This morning her eye looked rather red and sore but OTL has been putting drops in her eye and it seems to be better, not perfect but getting better!

She is resting her eye by watching TV and programmes that have been recorded, mainly cooking programmes. You know, it's strange that she watches so many cooking programmes but we still get Doggy Scoff from a tin while OTL has to make do with salad and cold meat!

Do you know that today is the shortest day of the year?

Well, it is!

As from tomorrow the days will be getting longer and both Spring and Summer is on it's way!

Yippee! I can almost feel the warmth on my tail!

Mind you Eric still reckons it's really too cold to do too much walking!

No, I'm staying here until the sun shines!
Once we got to the Sea Wall OTL emptied Eric into the concrete and told him it's time to walk!

Eric was not a happy ferret!

Do you realise just how cold this concrete is?
He was soon back in the bag again and spent time with his nose poking over the top of the bag!

From the top of the hill we can see right out to sea and we all climbed up onto the table just to see a bit further. All that is except OTL who stayed on the ground 'cos he is tall enough to still see further than us woofers!

That's a long way over there!
Being high up worried Eric a little, as he says, it's not the getting up, it's the getting down that bothers him!

It's a long way down, someone give us a paw!
Of course, OTL caught him just in time and after he was on the ground I showed him how to get down, woofer fashion!

See, it takes an expert to do it properly!
On the way back to the car we spotted the flowers on the bushes, makes a nice change to see such colour this time of the year!

...........and it's not even Spring yet!
It was good to see Sarn again from down there on the South Coast. TM's Eye operation went well and claws crossed it may be better by Christmas Day!

Archie's Boy has been to the vet? Well, that's good 'cos TL vets are free, unlike woofer vets who charge a fortune! I reckon that the pills will soon get him up on his paws again!

So, that's about all for today, every thing is OK here and Holly is still moaning about being on a diet!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's Getting Closer!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, surprising as it may seem, the rest of the UK isgetting snow, rain and winds while us load of softies down here in the South East are getting sun shine and balmy breezes!

Old Two Legs keeps on about when he was young, seeing frozen cob webs on the bushes but now he reckons he has more chance of sun burn than frosty fingers!

Well, as much as I like the snow when it first falls, I'd rather have the weather we have today, mild and sunny!

As normal, first thing we go out in the dark and the sun is still in bed as we head back home but that's OK with me!

The ferrets were in a good mood this morning, Miss May decided she would have an extra half an hour which was no problem 'cos OTL can work around her!

When she did wake up she was out and chasing Eric around the lounge! First he chased her then she chased him and then they both chased The Missus!

Being a few years old, Miss May gets tired quickly and soon headed off to her hidey hole under the chairs!

Eric is always up for a game and even though he stayed up a bit longer he was soon fast asleep cuddled up to Miss May!

Monty and Wendy were just as active and while OTL was cleaning their cage the pair were dooking and chasing each other in and out of OTL's legs!

Lunchtime we headed back to Grain and had fun chasing in and out of the bushes. Of course, Holly was dragging her tail a bit and kept on getting lost!

Come on Holly Chops, keep up!
Just before we headed up the hill we found a strange sniff, not too sure what it was but it was 'Strange'!

Well, it's not me!
On top of the hill we decided to climb up onto the table to get a better view. The tide was on it's way out so we didn't fancy a swim or even a charge along the beach!

Nah! I don't fancy getting my paws wet today!
As we came off the bottom of the hill, there is a seat with a load of stuff like bird feeders and cards with poems on them. Holly and I had a sniff of the wreath which had some pointy bits sticking out which stuck into my nose as I got too close!

A funny sniff but the sharp bits are a bit dodgy!
We still have to eat Doggy Scoff but we are getting used to the taste and even Holly is eating all of hers!

I must admit, I don't eat all of it but I get enough and reckon when we go back to the vet in January I might have lost more than Holly!

OTL has got curry tonight but I don't think we will be getting any nibbles off the plate, so we have to just sit and stare at OTL and try to make him feel sorry for us poor starving woofers!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Sleepy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

We are soooooo sleeeepy today! We have been up, marching around the house doing our guarding and waking Old Two Legs up to report on what we have been doing!

He was so pleased he let us carry on while he stuck his head under the pillow and tried to go back to sleep!

So, off we went again and at the same time we were singing our 'Guarding Song'.

We got up a little late this morning!

It was still dark when we got down to the football field so OTL left his camera in the car!

Even Venus was hiding behind the clouds!

Back home we decided to have a snooze while OTL got on with some work. He was mumbling about being kept up half the night with us doing our job!

Lunchtime it was bright enough to get down the sea wall via the hill.

As we climbed up the hill we looked over to the church and the Christmas tree on top of the tower.

St James Church and tree!
The building to the left is the junior school. It got burnt down last year and is now almost rebuilt!

Once again Holly offered to race me up the hill but I had better things to do, like getting my nose into some good sniffs!

On your bike Holly Chops!
Now getting our butt checked for Christmas isn't what would head our Santa Paws List!

I would have listed Beef Bones or Chicken Strips, rubber balls or even squeaky balls!

The Missus is getting her Christmas Prezzie early 'cos on Thursday she gets her second eye ball sorted. So that means she will be getting OTL to deposit drops into her eye over Christmas.

Mind you, OTL has got to wait until after Christmas before he gets his eye sorted!

Good news is that since we have been on a strict Doggy Scoff diet Holly's butt has improved and her Grumbly Tum has gone!

I can see that we are going to be on the scoff for a while until OTL is convinced that it is all cleared up.

Mind you, the thought of Doggy Scoff for Christmas Dinner is not on my list!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Star Gazing!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Another busy day, the ferrets have been helping The Missus to clear out her 'Card Storage Room', well to be honest, they have been reinstalling the squeaky balls behind the boxes so that every time she shoves the box back on the shelf there is a big squeak which makes her jump 'cos she thinks a ferret is behind the box!

We were a little late getting out this morning and the sky was beginning to brighten up. We spotted Venus up in the sky and as the sky was getting lighter all the other stars were disappearing, but Venus was still shining bright in the sky!

Look! Right in the middle!
OK, it was there but doesn't stand out much. So, Old Two Legs had a twiddle with the controls on the camera and zoomed in so that it looks like this!

OK, Just a little camera shake!
You can see that the sun was creeping up in the sky but while we were waiting the sky started to glow. In the end we got fed up with waiting so off we went, back home!

Well, it looks pretty
At lunchtime we headed off to the sea shore but this time we took the new way around the back of the fort. Of course the fort is on a hill and Holly suggested we race each other to the top. Well, I took one look and decided that I would be ahead of Holly in no time but I may be missing new sniffs on the way up!

So I didn't!

Come on, race you to the top!
Just for a change, we dropped down onto the beach, the sniffs were there but full of sea stuff and the rubbish that flows down from the docks!

Well, it's a sniff but not as you would like it!
I think that we will be kept off the beach and only go swimming when we got to Scotland.

If we are lucky enough, we plan to spend our Spring and Summer holidays back on the Mull of Kintyre again. Loads of sand beach and the water isn't deep so that means even Holly can go in for a paddle!

Do you realise that in six days the nights will be getting shorter and the days longer and summer will be on its way!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Christmas has come early for The Missus!

Hello Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, Old Two Legs managed to get all his 'Mending' done and what he can't do is being sent back to the manufacturers! Well, he can't do everything!

Mind you, he woke up on time this morning and we got a look at Venus twinkling away up in the sky!

Back home Miss May had trouble waking up, she is getting slower nowadays but there are times when she has a game of 'Chase' with Eric but takes longer to recover. Still, she is about six and a half!

Eric enjoyed ferreting about and he found a box of Ferret Treats!

Now yesterday The Missus was off to the Crop in the village all and had a great time wiv the girls stuffing themselves with Christmas food!

There was much swapping of Christmas Prezzies and TM got loads of chocs and stuff!

The ferrets even got a prezzie from Auntie Gill, a packet of Ferret Bits!

Hey Gang! Guess wot I found!
Trust Eric to find them first!

TM also got an apron but she wouldn't have her photo taken, just in case it makes her

We tried to get TM to wear the apron so we could take a picture but she was too busy baking the Christmas Pud!

Mind you, she had been 'Tasting' the brandy, just to make sure it was the right stuff!

Does my Tail look big in this?
Of course, we just had to include the Rosette's Eric and May won at the Harrietsham Ferret Show!

If it was a bit smaller I could wear it as a neck scarf!

Lunchtime we were out and OTL bumped into an amateur radio person trying to contact someone but stopped when OTL got close. Maybe he should have used a mobile phone instead!

Still, it didn't stop OTL having a chat with him while we said hello to the woofer with him.

So, back home to some Doggy Scoff while OTL and TM pigged out on Pate and stuff!

You know, sometimes it just doesn't seem fair!

 See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Saturday with OTL

Hi Woofers!

The Gang is back, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We have had a super Saturday, a Busy Doing Nothing type of day. Early this morning we were out in the dark. That's 'cos we are now back to normal again after the late mornings and early evenings!

This morning it was not only dark but there was a wind blowing from u the River Medway, so that means we didn't hang about too much, just a sniff and go!

The morning was spent under Old Two Legs desk watching him doing some repairs and reprogramming of radios for one of his customers. By the time lunchtime walk was here he had done most of it.

We left the ferrets at home on account it was getting colder and there was even some rain floating on the wind.

We took a new route to the sea shore today, up and around the old fort. In fact at one place we had to turn around and got back 'cos the path came to an end and we couldn't climb out. Well, Holly and I could have but OTL being an Old Duffer would never had made it!

Again, because of the wind and rain, we didn't hang about too long but at least we found some new sniffs on the new path, I think we will have to go down there again!

Back home OTL opened up a can of Doggy Scoff and while we were eating he went off with Wendy and Monty up the village hall where Rosie was waiting to say hello and have a cuddle.

Now that Wendy has her winter coat on she is extra soft and cuddly! Eric, on the other paw has not got his winter coat cos he isn't old enough. We reckon he will get a big winter coat next year!

Mind you, Eric did that and this year he is a Big Handsome Hob which is a good reason why he won his section at the Ferret Show!

Miss Wendy was a little sleepy but she enjoyed a super cuddle with Rosie and even managed to keep her claws out of Rosie's jumper!

So, back home to bed while OTL finished off what he could on the radios, there is one left to look at but he can do it tomorrow.

Hey! Holly has got away with nail trimming today, still there is always tomorrow!

We are glad to hear that the Plawn Clackers landed last night, even if you didn't get a look in!

Sometimes these TL's can be so cruel!

Mind you, it looks like you can get a sausage roll doll from Auntie Sue's mate, I wonder if they taste nice? Well' anything is better than Doggy Scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Tricky OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, that's another week almost over! Christmas is getting closer and it's getting colder!

We have been looking at the weather forecast and reckon we may even get some snow at some time!

Now, you know how sneaky Old Two Legs can be? Well, he has started again, Holly and I are not happy about being washes shaved and blow dried.

Another thing we don't like is having our claws clipped.

Hate it!

Hate it, Hate it, Hate IT!

So, OTL has been sneaky and every day, just as we have forgotten yesterdays drama, he lifts up one of our paws and SNIP!

A bit of claws goes across the room!

OK, it doesn't hurt but it's the shock of seeing a bit of your paws flying across the room!

Well, over a period of time he has managed to trim my claws, back and front.

Now he is working on Holly's claws and she don't like it a bit and shows off something rotten!

So far he has managed two claws, it's going to be fun when he gets to the dew claw!

Today has been busy, delivering stuff, collecting stuff and running around in circles!

Surprisingly, it has been rather mild. Walking along the sea front it was only the light wind that kept the temperature down but there is some cold heading our way this weekend, well, so the weather man says but down here in the south east we seem to get the best of the weather, so, claws crossed!

Right, we are off to see what's for dinner. As we are on a diet I suppose it will be Doggy Scoff. We haven't had any nibbles at all this week, it can be so hard sometimes!

See you tomorrow, if we survive!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

HMRC & EORI & VAT & BREXIT & Paraceltamol

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well, we still haven't caught up with ourselves, Old Two Legs was half an hour late in getting up, so, we missed some of our normal woofers when we went down onto the sea front.

Mind you, we didn't see the sun come up but there was a sort of 'pre dawn glow' that lit the sky!

Neither one thing or the other!
We spent the morning at home watching OTL doing some bush trimming in the back garden. It's a once a year job that he does and has the same discussion with The Missus, it goes something like:-

Wot you doing?

Trimming the bush.

Don't take too much off cos the flowers won't grow.

Yes they will.

No they won't.

Yes they will.

and I'm telling you they won't

Well, here is the scissors, you do it.

Harrumph!

Lunchtime went on a different path which took us to the top of the hill where the old fort is. There is almost nothing left of the fort and we don't go up there very often but today we just fancied a different path!

Well, it makes a change!
Back home the post had been delivered and one was from the VAT Man at the HRMC. Mmmm! Though OTL, what is the VAT Man  want? Opening it up we read the instruction regarding BREXIT  plans for exporting to the EU if we don't get a deal!

What it said was that we need a EORI  number!

Now OTL has a VAT number 'cos he has got to have one and he has a number of customers across the pond and channel and so far there has never been any problems supplying stuff but now we are all getting ready for the possibility of the government getting a sensible 'Deal'!

Well, OTL spent an hour getting this extra number from the HMRC web site and finally everything fell into place!

However, he still needed some Paracetamol 'cos his brain hurt by the time he had finished!

Holly and I am glad we are woofers, we don't need  a EORI  number!

Now that is finished we are wondering what will be the next thing will come down from the HMRC!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Eric de Spider?

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, as we said yesterday, a little thing that goes wrong has a habit of ganging up on you and it is still with us 'cos this morning Old Two Legs was woken up by something at four this morning then went back to sleep and woke up an hour later than normal!

Being an hour late, we almost missed the sunrise! It was a quick run along the path until we got to the right spot before clicking off several shots of which this was about the best!

We almost missed it!
Mind you, once the sun was up the temperature did rise a little and warmed our tails up a bit!

Ooh! That's better!
Just for a change, we spotted a Wormy Man out on the mud flats digging for all he was worth.

There has just got to be more worms here!
Back home Holly and I headed for our bed while Eric and May were out for their rampage.

As normal, May headed for the Lactose Free Milk  and Brambles Biscuits in the kitchen.

Eric on the other paw decided he would inspect the rubbish bin in OTL's room.

First you check for sniffs.

Yes, there are some new sniffs in there!
It doesn't take him long 'cos he can sink his claws into the plastic bin liner and........

Up we go!
Of course, he was straight in with no trouble at all!

Yes, Yes, Yes!
Then there is the sound of a ferret hitting the rubbish and scrabbling to find the sniff!

'er! Can someone get me out now?
OTL says that one day the Bin men will take him away!

This afternoon OTL has to take The Missus off to the TL Vets to get her eye checked for Cattle Racks and stuff. I know she has another eye to be Cattle Racked and was hoping to have it all done before Christmas but we reckon that it will be next year, unless they have a cancellation!

Claws crossed!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
