Saturday and we have almost caught up!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Saturday is with us and Old Two Legs is getting close to being up to date with all his stuff!

He always says that a two week holiday takes three weeks to sort out when you get back!

At least the paperwork is all done and now it is just the 'engineering' to do!

We got down to the beach this morning in time to see the mucky stuff sort of floating on the water, what we need is a good storm to beat it all up and wash it away down stream!

All this mucky stuff stops me having a swim!
May and Eric had fun digging on the beach but even they said they wouldn't go in for a swim!

OTL has got a new dishwasher arriving on Sunday, so, this morning he disconnected the old one and put it outside on the drive so the delivery people can take it away!

He had to pay for that but it would be disposed of properly and also he has got them to take away the packing as well!

There is one small problem, the delivery times start at seven in the morning!

Never mind, we will be there to make sure everything is done properly or they will get a good woofing!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy came out with us. Wendy just loves a good run on the beach and digging holes and hunting for mouses as well!

Freddy, on the other paw, much prefers a carry down to the beach, a quick roll, then he gets OTL to pick him up and gets 'carries' all the way back to the football field where he gets down and has a run across the football field!

On the way back we spotted a snail half way up the bush with the red leaves. Holly asked the snail why he was so far up the bush and hanging onto the leaf?

'Well' says the snail, ' I've heard that we got the back end of the bad weather from the U.S.A. and I'm making sure I'm above the water and on something that floats if the water gets any higher'!

Holly pointed out that the snail was in fact so twenty metres above sea level and if the water should get up to him, half of the South East will be floating away on the tide!

.....I don't care, I'm staying warm and dry!
We left him to it and headed home!

Holly was singing a song........I am Snailing, I am Snailing, Home again, across the sea!

She can be a right wag at times!

We are off now to investigate what is for dinner and whether or not we can get a nibble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

This slimming is a real drag!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

It's been a sort of 'Middling' day today, nothing over exciting but 'Busy'!

Old Two Legs has been 'Manufacturing' so that has kept him out of our way! The problem we are having is that when he gets a cup of tea, there are no Chocolate Chip Cookies for Holly and I to snaffle!

I mean, that is one of life's little pleasures!

It's the same at lunchtime, like, what sort of woofer will eat a salad sandwich, made with brown bread, Yuk!

Talking of Yuk! This morning we got onto the beach to find a horrid sniffy load of stuff that had come down stream over the last tide!

Holly and I took one sniff and headed back up the beach!

I don't care wot it is, I'm staying well away!
You know, even the ferrets said they were staying well up the beach and well away from the mucky stuff!
I wish the wind would change and blow it out to sea!
We spotted Boo and Polly playing games on the Sea Wall. The game was, Let the Two Legs get ahead, then walk the other way!

Polly is very good at that and Boo is getting good as well!
Yo! OTL, what's that sniff?
Miss Polly, as normal, was more interested in the ferrets and whether they tasted like chicken or not!
I would love a bit off the flank of the big one!
Eric said that if she cam onto the beach he would sort her out!

I almost think that he would 'cos he is always trying to give Holly and I a 'Nip' if we hang about too long!

Lunchtime there were a couple of woofers who had been in for a paddle in the yucky stuff and sniffed terrible!

They were put on their leads to stop them from getting too yucky!

That'll teach them!

But we only wanted a little paddle!
Miss Wendy and Freddy enjoyed a dig in the sand and a run along the Sea Wall but as normal, Freddy said he had a thorn in his paw and needed a cuddle!

I can feel a Sore Paw coming on!
Back home we were given a half a carrot each. I offered mine to OTL 'cos that is all he is allowed during the day time!

He wasn't amused!

The Missus is out at the village hall for some more glue slapping, so, that means we could be in luck and raid the kitchen cupboards for some Cookies!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Day for Having a Roll!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now, you know wot today is?

Yes! It's Archie Babes Mums Birthday and she is all of Dumpty Dump Years old!

So, if you are all sitting in a line, tails straight, one paw raised.

After three, ........One, ........Ninety Nine........Three!

Happy Birthday to Yooooooo!
Have a roll in some Poooooo!
Now share your cake with your mates!
Happy Birthday to Yooooooooooooooooo!

Yeah! Woofing Good Day! Kebab and Chips Tonight?

We have had a good day, well, loads of sniffs for all the woofers!

We landed on the beach a little earlier than normal and the gulls were still paddling in the rock pools.

Never mind the woofers, find me a worm!
First Miss May found a sniff on the beach and had a really good roll in it!

This is just right for a little ferret like me!
After she had finished I went to see what it was.

I found a crabs arm and claw buried in the sand and as I was about to try it out, Old Two Legs told me to leave it alone!

Spoil Sport!

Through the morning the sun started to shine through the clouds and by the time we went out for our midday walk it was all bright and beautiful!

Sunshine at Last!
Holly made the most of the sunshine and found the rest of the cram and gave it a good rolling!

Ooooh! That feels sooooo gooood!
On our way off the beach OTL spotted this very small spider sitting on the hand rail. He said his name was Cedric De Spyder and he has taken over possession of the hand rail!

We asked what would happen if a Two Legs tried to use the handrail?

I'll bite their paw off and beat them with the soggy end!
That's one very brave spider!

We are now off to see what is for dinner, OTL's not ours!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Wednesday already and we still haven't caught up with the sniffs!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

Wot a misty old day it's been today!

We got out good and early 'cos Old Two Legs had a load of work planned for today and he decided to get the ferret cages cleaned good and early. Not that the ferrets allowed that, as soon as they got out they proceeded to play ferret games like, 'Nibble the Toes' or 'Giss More Ferretone' which all involves OTL stopping the cleaning and paying attention to what they want!

Down on the beach it was very misty first thing, nothing interesting to see and no ships going past either!

I see no ships!
Mind you, we couldn't even see Sheerness either!

Wot we did see were the colours of the bushes by the side of the path, even in the misty light they still looked very autumnal!

Yep!  Autumn is a coming!
We didn't get any improvement in the mist when we went out at lunchtime, Sheerness poked its nose out from the mist but didn't stay long!

There! Look! It's Sheerness waving back!
OTL decided to leave the misty bits alone and look for any bright colours he could find. He spent some time chasing a butterfly around but it wouldn't settle long enough for him to take a photo, so, he had to settle for the wild 'Sweet Pea' sort of plant by the side of the path.

Mind you, it wasn't easy 'cos there was a breeze blowing and that was making the blossom move about something terrible!

Just stop for a second or two!
We got to the beach and although the tide was out, Holly and I had some fun rolling in the sniffs on the beach.

Most of the sniffs were of dead crab or whiffy limpet!

I just Looooove a Gooood Roll!
Holly decided to tart about on the beach and kept of running up to OTL saying ' Take my Picture, Take my Picture'!

.....................................and this is my 'smiley face' so, Take my Picture?
Back home OTL got a few orders all packed and ready to go to the carriers, so that was another job jobbed!

Tomorrow he is expecting to see a delivery of some more stuff that he will need to work on before sending them off to the carrier!

It's all go it is!

Now, all this diet stuff is getting very boring. Every time OTL gets lunch it ends up being ham sandwich with a mountain of salad, not the most appetising lunch a woofer could have, I mean, have you tasted those onions? Do you know what a plate full of radishes will do to your backside?

Enuff of these things, we are wondering what is for dinner tonight, something fattening if we are lucky!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Busy catching up on the sniffs and other important things!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Today has been fun, we have been out down the beach and catching up on the sniffs and picking out the new woofer 'Markers' all along the paths!

The ferrets say they have picked up a sniff trail from a family of Weasels who have moved into the area!

Old Two Legs has been catching up on his work and trying to get 'In Tune' with his new computer and the accountancy package, which is still confusing him!

I said he should let Eric have a go at setting it up but OTL says that Eric would make a bigger mess than anyone we knew!

Freddy enjoyed the lunchtime walk. Well, he didn't walk really, most of the time was spent cuddled up in OTL's arms just watching the world go by!

Mind you, he did get down onto the beach and got going on his favourite pastime.

Sunbathing!

Miss Wendy said he was just being a lazy ferret and said she was off to do some digging in the sand!

No, I've got better things to do!

Not that it bothered Freddy, he just lay there, on his back and getting a sun tan on his paws!

There's nothing like warm paws!
After his paws warmed up enough he got OTL to carry him back to the football pitch where he waddled across the field, getting OTL to pick him up just before he got to the car!

Back home Freddy fell asleep as soon as he got into his cage and he has only woken up once for a drink!

We never got a kebab last night, the shop was shut on Monday! I don't think that we will get one tonight either 'cos today OTL has been fed rabbit food for breakfast followed by brown bread and salad sandwich at lunchtime and now we can't sniff any cooking, so that more than likely means..........cheese salad tonight.

YUK!

I can see it will affect us woofers 'cos I mean with no nibbles we will just fade away!

Mind you, I like the idea that a kebab is really a healthy meal 'cos it has salad with it!

Something tells me that The Missus wouldn't agree with that!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We're back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret have all arrived back home, safe and sound!

We got woken up by The Missus at six thirty this morning! She was marching up and down the caravan, opening and closing doors putting stuff in the 'Traveling' place in the caravan so whatever it is doesn't get thrown about and damage the woodwork!

We didn't bother with breakfast, except the ferrets who said they would fade away if they didn't have food on a regular basis!

Holly and I are like that, but it must be the food that Old Two Legs or TM has 'cos that always tastes better than our Scoff!

Hey! Seems like I have made another whoopsy, I can't get my Missies, Mollies and Millies all mixed up!

I blame it on TM, she has a way of getting us all confused and mixed up!

So, we will settle on Miss Mollie unless we get told otherwise!

We have been out down the beach this afternoon to check out the sniffs and there are loads of new ones we came across!

OTL wouldn't let me go in swimming and to be honest, looking at the size of the waves I don't think I would have enjoyed it!

The caravan has now been unloaded and most of the stuff is put away, OTL is looking at the loads of emails that have come in, sorting out the rubbish from the orders!

TM says we are going to have a kebab tonight 'cos she and OTL are going on a diet!

It is going to be a 'Salad' sort of diet and the kebab is the 'Last Goodbye' to tasty food and onto 'Green Food' with no chips!

OTL weighs in a ninety two kilogrammes which is just over his BMI (Body Mass Index) and if he can lose a bit from around his tummy, he'll be a happy puppy!

TM is keeping quiet about her weight, so we expect her to tell fibs about how much she has lost!

OK, must go, the kebab shop has opened!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A day for packing!

Yo! Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

OK, first things first..............................sooooooory Miss Millie, I dunno why I put Miss Molly maybe it was a sort of Miss Milly Molly Moo!

You know, we know a ferret with that name!

Today it has been a 'packing day' 'cos we are heading off home tomorrow. The Missus has been moving all her craft stuff from the awning into the caravan, on the bed actually and the poor ferrets have bee moved to the back of the car!

The back door of the car is open and the ferrets have been having fun watching the comings and goings of everyone on site setting up or shutting down!

It's a good job these Two Legs can't speak ferret or Freddy and Eric would get reported for saying rude things!

TM has been giving her orders, as usual, OTL hasn't been listening, as usual!

Lunchtime TM got out some bacon and six rolls meaning to make some bacon rolls. OTL headed off to take the ferrets for a walk before lunch.

He got back to TM mumbling some dark and terrible curse upon the gas cooker 'cos it had burnt three of the rolls.

'Don't worry' says OTL, there is another three in the pack.

TM looks of all sort of sheepish and says 'No there isn't, I burnt them earlier'!

So, OTL has been trying to eat his Bacon Rolls, trouble is, the rolls are too hard to bite into and the bacon is like roof slate! He now is getting worried 'cos he thinks the very expensive bridge he had put in might just shatter into a thousand pieces!

I think we are going out for some 'Fish & Chips' tonight!

The awning is now taken down and packed away in the back of the car with the ferrets!

I think Holly and I will be left in the caravan when OTL heads off to get dinner tonight!

Last night was good, the Plawns were super and the Plawn Clackers were very nice, in fact Holly and I made little pigs of ourselves and kept asking OTL for another one!

In the end he said 'no' and called us greedy! Us! Greedy? Never!

One good thing about tomorrow, it won't take us very long to get home, I reckon three hours maximum, unlike the journey back from Gretna!

Hey, sorry to hear that Michael gas got Sue's cold. You know a could doubles in intensity as it gets passed on, so Michael's cold is twice as bad as Sue's!

All together now...............................................................................Poor Michael, aaaaaaaaah!

See you all tomorrow when we get home!

Bye bye for now.

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We Get There, sort off!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, after all the plans and plots and floods and stuff, today there was nothing stopping us heading off to Corfe Castle for a visit.

Except............................!

Well, first Old Two Legs had to clean out all the cages, walk the ferrets, talk to a couple who had heard we had ferrets in the caravan and answer all the normal questions regarding ferrets and their habits!

Holly said we should tell them that ferrets smell and will bite your paw if you put it anywhere near their nose!

Miss May said she would tell everyone about Holly's habit of polluting the air with her 'Butt Trumpets'!

Finally when they had all gone we headed out to the car.

On the way we came across The Missus looking a little upset, you see she had sat down on the wooden chair in the awning to do some crafty stuff and the chair sort of, 'Fell Apart'!.

This is the second chair she has 'destroyed' and we are quickly running out of awning furniture!

OTL decided to get going before he ended up doing a 'Repair Job' that might involve him going to the Hardware Shop again!

No, he's not getting his tools out again, we're going out!
We got going and left TM grumbling about having to move all her stuff inside the caravan!

Corfe Castle isn't too far away and OTL found a car park who were only charging £3.10 an hour!

Cheek!

We looked over the wall and spotted the castle. Holly said it didn't look too impressive 'cos half of it was missing!

Not a lot left!
We thought it may be more interesting close up so we headed around to the entrance where we came upon two signs.

One was the price list £9 per visit!

Nine pounds to see a pile of old bricks?

The second notice was.....................................NO DOGS!

Nine Quid and no dogs? You know what you can do with that!
We decided to have a wander around the village and see what we could see. As we were walking down the high street, I suddenly had need of a poo, so I did one in the middle of the road and held up all the traffic while OTL picked it all up!

Just around the corner looks like a good place for a poo!
OTL suggested that we head back and go for a run on Kimmeridge Beach. You bet! One of the best bits was we didn't have to pay for car parking again!

OTL liked that!

Holly Chops getting her paws wet!
We were allowed off the lead and I found a bit of wood that OTL tossed into the water for me to play 'Chase the Stick'!

It was great fun jumping in off the rocks!

Periscope Up!
Back at the caravan we both got a good rub down with the Doggy Towel and a brush to get rid of the sand where Holly and I had a roll on the beach!

Tonight we are off to get a Chinese Take Away with Plawns and Plawn Clackers!

Yum! Yum!

Hey, Archie Babe, say Hello to Millie for us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's Corfe Castle tomorrow, on account of the Deluge!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Now, you know we were going to see Corfe Castle today? Well, we nearly got there!

You see it all started off this morning as Old Two Legs, Holly and I hadn't got up yet and were looking on the Internetty Thing Googling Corfe Castle and looking at all the pictures of the place.

The Missus sort of marched down the caravan heading for the bathroom, loo and shower.

She came flying out of the bathroom saying it was 'Flooded with Water'! Then she went on about the end of the world and plagues of locust and frogs and a wet carpet!

We weren't too sure what was troubling her more, the frogs or the flood or the wet carpet!

This caravan of ours has a thing about water, if it's not the pump then it's a leak in the system somewhere!

OTL got up, had a wash, in cold water, 'cos TM had forgotten to switch the water heater on!

OTL was not happy!

He doesn't do cold water, especially first thing in the morning!

So, armed with his trusty head torch strapped to his bald spot he dives under the bed and starts to investigate.

Dry floor under the kitchen sink, so, no problems there.

Dry floor around the water pump, no problems there either.

Wet floor around the water tank! Here be the problem!

Well, it seems that there is a leak in the elbow joint where the water comes into the water tank and the leak is only noticeable when the tank is full to the top, like wot it was last night!

So, drip by drip the water found its way out of the tank, and, because the caravan has a slight tilt backwards 'cos we are parked on the side of a mountain, all the water headed back to the bathroom!

This is where TM comes into the picture with the notification that we were 'Flooded with Water'!

So, the bed was stripped of its mattress and stuff so OTL could get under the bed to sort out the leak and after one or two goes decided in the end he had to get some special sealant from the man in the hardware shop in town!

When he got back to the caravan he crawled back under the bed and started slapping the sealant where sealant needed to be slapped and made it look so professional!

Danger! OTL at work!
Tomorrow we plan to visit Corfe Castle, unless the caravan gets struck by lightening or is buried under a ton of locust eating frogs!

You never know, anything can happen down here!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

The Great Escape!

Hi Fans!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

Well, let's say, we have had better days! I mean, it has been raining on and off since last night which has mucked up our plans to go castle hunting!

We spent most of the morning cleaning cages or snoozing. Well, Old Two Legs did the cleaning and Holly and I did the snoozing!

Then it was time to head off to town to do some shopping and buy a tank full of diesel for the car and some bottles of giggle juice for The Missus and OTL!

While we sat waiting for OTL to finish filling the car, TM suddenly asked, 'OK, Who did that?'

Did wot?

Come on she says, who did it?

Wot?

By then OTL had got back in the car and TM tells him that one of us had let one go and the car was smelling terrible!

Now, OTL's sniffer isn't up to much due to an accident he had with a garage door when he was two years old and unless it is a really powerful sniff, most sniffs just pass him by, including when TM goes on about 'Someone' letting one off!

Now, so as not to upset TM he looks at us both and says, 'OK, Paws Up, who did it?'

Neither Holly or I put our paws up, so, according to our reckoning, there is only one left in the car who it could be!

Say no more!

Back home in the caravan we all settled down to some lunch followed by a snooze and a read of a book and another snooze until it was time to bring the ferrets in from the awning. They have great fun watching the two legs go by and enjoy a sniff of the wild things in the hedgerows!

Now, late this afternoon the rain stopped and Holly and I got another walk in the field where we chased a pheasant or two, however, because we were both on our lead, we had no chance of grabbing one. That means they were laughing their tail feathers off and scuttling off a few yards ahead of us!

Back in the caravan, OTL was answering some emails from customers and I was resting on some cushions by an open window.

As I was sort of half asleep, I half noticed one of these stupid birds walk past the front of the caravan.

That was it, I was out of the window and steaming down the hill after this miniature turkey!

Funny thing was, OTL or TM didn't know I had gone!

It couldn't last forever and OTL says to TM, 'Where's Daisy?'

Dunno, came the answer and after a quick check around the caravan, OTL sets off down the camp site checking the other caravans and awnings for a small, perfectly formed woofer with naughtiness on her mind!

It took a good while before TM found me, sitting by the gate waiting to be let back into the caravan site from the field we normally walk around!

I mean, if it were me, that would have been the first place I would have looked!

So, that's it, I'm back, in trouble and on top of that, OTL has shut the window!

Tomorrow it's That Castle!

Promise!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

We get into trouble, a little bit!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret returning again!

Well, this morning we rolled out of bed and headed off for a walk across the fields and for the first time this holiday the grass wasn't soaking wet! Normally we end up with wet tummies and jump all over the caravan shaking the dew off but today, bone dry!

Now that is a good thing as far as the ferrets are concerned 'cos their tummies sort of drag half an inch off the ground and they get very wet! Today, bone dry, so that means more jumping and running in the grass!

After all the job have been done we loaded up the car with camera stuff, said good bye to The Missus, (who was inspired to make a card or two), and headed off to Corfe Castle a few miles down the road.

We arrived just as three coaches had off loaded thousands of Mini Two Legs, all clutching clip boards and bits of paper with questions on that they had to answer before they would be allowed back on the coach!

We looked at Old Two Legs and he looked at us, then we looked at the MTL's and then we looked at OTL again.

'Shall we leave this until another day?' says OTL, 'Yus Pleese' says us and after a quick discussion, we decided to go back to Kimmeridge Bay and hunt Dinosorearses and stuff like that!

Now, as we had paid before and 'cos we are camping in their caravan site, we only have to pay once and all future visits are free, up to when we go home.

OTL likes that, 'FREE'

This time we asked if we could be let off the lead 'cos we couldn't get into too much trouble on the beach, could we?

We were lucky 'cos the tide was on it's way out and more of the beach was exposed and that means more rocks were exposed that had all sorts of old and ancient things like Nautilus Fish and Trilobites and bits of shells could be seen in the rocks.

Here be Dino Prints!
OTL was getting all excited, the further the tide went out the more rocks were visible and the more lumps and bumps could be examined and names given, not that we really understood what he was talking about but we tried to look interested and amazed at his knowledge of rocks with bumps on them!

and this one is about a hundred and twenty million years old, give or take a year or two!
Now, these rocks had water at the edges and of course I decided that it would be a good idea if I had a little splosh, just to test the water, as it were!

This water just loves a good splosh!
You know, even Holly Chops went in for some deep paddling after OTL let us off our leads!

As we went around the bay, OTL taking photos and us hunting Dinos, OTL stopped at a small water fall and said it looked 'picturesque', what ever that is, I mean, we have only just got to terms with ethereal and now he lumps us with 'picturesque'!

Well, it looks like someone left the tap on!
We got a bit bored and headed off to the slipway where they launch to boats and of course, there were loads of sniffs we just couldn't stay away from, especially Holly Chops!

When OTL discovered we were nowhere to be seen, he left his camera all set up and chased after us!

It was a good job there was no one around to pinch his camera but us woofers would have seen them off if anyone got close to OTL's toys!

We then walked all the way around to the other end of the beach where there was a notice saying we couldn't go any further 'cos of the army firing range!

The weather man says we will get some rain tomorrow, so I can see a day spent snoozing, reading, card making and chasing ferrets around the caravan!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Being On Holiday is Hard Work!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Yesterday we were in 'Engineering Mode' 'cos The Missus has been 'Destruction Testing' the fold up table in the caravan and we can now say, without any doubt that, given the right number of whacks with the extra large container of 'Distress Ink', the table will fall off the table mount and come crashing to the floor!

So, yesterday it was 'Hunt the Screws' and stuff in the local town then back for some drilling and banging with hard object and mumbling of many curses!

I was doing the inspection job after the table was reinstalled!

OK, it passes the 'Shove Test' so we will give it a try!

Holly Chops was on 'Guard Duty' and after learning from Archie Babe on the best positions to take up when doing guard duty, she made a pretty good go of guarding the caravan!

I can be alert in an instance, trust me!
Today we decided that a trip to see the local sights was in order and set off for Durdle Door. We were expecting a castle thingy with a big wooden door but when we got there it was nothing but a lump of cliff with a hole in it!

Shut That Door!
It was a bit of a hike up and down the cliff to see that and to be honest, the ice cream cone that Holly and I shared tasted just great!

Next it was Lulworth Cove. Now this is a natural harbour that has been worn away by the tides and now looks like a super safe harbour with a very 'Touristy' village on the shore. Old Two Legs reckons the car park was almost as big as the village and judging by the cost of parking, it was more than likely the biggest money earner around!
Pretty village with the obligatory stream heading towards the bay!

Almost all the buildings were restaurants or gift shops!
Like Durdle Door, I got a swim in the warm water! Holly decided that she was better off sitting on the harbour wall with TM and trying to mug anyone who looked like they might have food!
Nothing like getting your paws wet!

On the way back to the car we stopped off at one of the restaurants and got some scampi and chips and a sausage.

The scampi was for TM & OTL and the sausage was for Holly and I but it was such a small sausage that after we had finished it, the scampi look just too delicious to leave un tasted!

Tomorrow OTL wants to visit Corfe Castle 'cos he hasn't been there for a thousand years!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sunday, 17 September 2017

Well, we had plans!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now, you know that yesterday we had loads of plans of what we were going to do today, Castles, Dino Poo, Photography and Nargle Chasing!

In the end we didn't!

It sort of started off this morning when Old Two Legs started cleaning the ferret cages.

We have a sort of Poo Problem, well, Eric and May have this problem really. You see, OTL cleans the cage out, washes all the parts that need to be washed, then he dries the cage, sprays Pet Disinfectant and lines the cage with soft paper kitchen towel to catch the poo and the wee.

After that the water gets changed in both dispensers, a dog bowl and one of those 'Drippy' water things you hang on the cage wall. Finally the food bowl is washed, dried and replenished with ferret food.

Now we are ready for the ferrets to go back in.

In goes Eric and May.

Eric heads for the three ply paper layers, digs furiously hurling lumps of paper all over the place and in the water bowl. Miss May jumps into the food bowl and throws the contents all over the place!

She then dives down onto where the paper was all neatly positioned on the floor, and does a poo!

Eric, from his vantage spot in the 'sleeping cup', says 'That's a good idea' and jumps down, lifts his tail and manages to poo up the cage wall! Next he turns around to have a sniff, just to make sure it was his, and then decides to finish it off with a wee up the other wall, missing all the torn up paper!

OTL is not a happy Two Legs!

So, the ferrets get put back into the caravan while OTL cleans the cage out, washes all the parts that need to be washed, then he dries the cage, sprays Pet Disinfectant and lines the cage with soft paper kitchen towel to catch the poo and the wee!

By the time all this is accomplished and the ferrets have been walked, it's lunch time and The Missus says there are some plawns and salad, so OTL decides he will go out later!

Half way through lunch the TV gets switched on 'cos it is the F1 Racing. So, we all sit down to watch the fun and games while at the same time trying to snaffle a plawn or two!

It was a super race, loads of excitement!

After that it was time for a walk, so we got OTL to take us around the field so we could chase a pheasant or two, even though we were kept on leads!

Well, that took us around to just after four fifteen when I decided that I must do my blog!

So, no pictures today and no exciting tales for you, sorry!

Maybe tomorrow?

Bye, bye for now!

Luv,

A Little Damp between the Ears!

Yo Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It has been a sort of fun type relaxing pheasant hunting wet day today!

Well there you are, a whole day in one line!

We went out with Old Two Legs and the ferrets first thing and coming around the corner of the field there were hundreds of pheasants mooching about in the long grass!

That was it, as soon as we poked our noses around the corner they all flew straight up in the air making the loudest noise we have heard for a long time!

The soppy birds landed a bit further up the path and continued to poke around in the grass as if we weren't there!

Mind you, they did leave one bird behind to keep an eye on us!

On Guard Duty!
After a while this bird got all worried and flew off leaving another bird there to keep a watchful eye on us!

I've got my eye on you, you, you, you and you!
After a little while Freddy decided that sniffs were more interesting than food that kept running away and he followed Wendy into the field a little to hunt slower prey!

OTL spotted a couple of Comma butterflies dancing around the bramble bushes and when they landed he managed to get this shot.

Smile for the camera!

Back at the caravan we all watched the F1 Practise and then the Qualifying, rather an exciting run up to the race tomorrow!

As soon as that finished Holly and I woofed our tails off to go out for another walk but half way around the field we saw a dark thing heading our way!

Looks like it could be wet!
Unfortunately we got wet, all sort of soggy doggy wet and the ferrets didn't get away with it either, Eric and May also got wet tails but they sneaked into OTL's jacket and managed to stay out of the deluge!

Holly and I headed home as quickly as we could and got a rub down with the doggy towels before heading for the soft cushions!

All I need now is some dinner followed by a snooze before bed time!
Tomorrow, if the rain stops, we plan to go back to Kimmeridge Bay to hunt for some more Dinosorearses and maybe find some rock hard Dino Poo!

Then, if they allow woofers, we want to get a look at Corfe Castle which looks like it is about to fall down!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Dino Digging!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back again!

Well, we've had a good day today, the ferrets have been around the field chasing the pheasants mind you, they had no chance of catching them 'cos they had Old Two Legs in tow on the other end of the lead!

Do get a move on OTL,
Mind you the pheasants didn't hang about!

Watch out, Ferret and Two Legs coming!
Once we had finished out in the field and the ferrets were tucked up in their cages eating breakfast, we headed off to hunt dinosorearses!

We arrived at Kimmeridge Bay where there have been some finds from 150 million years ago! Looking at the cliffs you could see the different layers of mud and shale.

Kimmeridge Cliffs
While we were down there we met up with a couple of woofers who were down for a days exploration. First there was a little ball of fun that went by the name of Millie a super little Yorkie of just five months old!

Are you a Dino?
Joining in the fun was Ted a very gentle Airedale Terrier down here on holiday, just like us!

Ted the Airedale Terrier.
Ted said Hello to OTL and got a tickle on the tail as well! Ted  said he was looking for some Dinosaurs foot prints in the rocks but so far all he has found was Dino Poo!

Now, when we looked at the dino poo it looked just like lumps of rock, I reckon you had to have a strong insides to do that!

Talk about Rock Hard!

I went off looking for for prints, it was a lot safer than dino poo!

No Dino Poo here!
OTL found the remains of some sea animals that had been around 150 million years and that seems a long time to sit in the rocks!

These are Ammonites.
From there we headed into Swanage to do some shopping ant The Missus purchased a pair of Green Wellies!

We lunched on some fish and chips, well, OTL also brought some sausages for us woofers and he even pinched one for himself!

Back home we had a lot to tell the ferrets all about especially the Dino Poo!

As we were telling the story the sun went down and the sky looked all 'Dramatic'!

OTL loves Dramatic!

Night Sky
Tomorrow TM is planning to do some more crafting and of course there is the F1 Racing from Singapore!

Brrrm Brrrrm!

Hey! we think that Archie Babe did the right thing of getting rid of the Parlour Pong, mud and green slime is just the thing!

See you tomorrow

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
