Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Hey! Guess wot? We saw the sunrise this morning!

Well, it wasn't really over the horizon but there was enough colour to make it worthwhile taking a picture!

Good Morning Mr Sun!
Mind you, it was frosty, I mean, the windscreen was frozen and we had to sit in the cold car while the hot air was made and the ice melted!

Eric was not impressed and when we got to the sea front he was even less impressed! There was frost on the grass which made his paws cold and his tummy wet!

Is this obligatory?
OTL took pity on him and carried him all the way to the football field where he got down, had a quick poo and then ran all the way back to the car!

We were all glad to get back, except Old Two Legs who still has the job of cleaning out the cages before breakfast!

Lunchtime all the frost had gone and Monty found a mole sniff! We didn't tell him that the mole was a good twenty feet away shovelling earth into a big pile!

I can sniff it! I Can Sniff It! I CAN SNIFF IT!
In the end we had to drag him away and he showed off something terrible!

Down on the sea front he was still showing off, so, Wendy challenged him to a race back to the football field.

Monty was so desperate to get back that he started running on the count of TWO instead of THREE like wot he should!

One, Two, Oi!
Mind you as Wendy knew, he couldn't get too far ahead 'cos they were on leads and OTL was in the middle holding him back!

Still, that didn't stop him from trying to chase Holly and I up the hill!

Come on shift yer tails, I'm on a mission!
Not that we took any notice!

Now, wot's all this about cat racks and head aches and eye balls? OTL says that when we are being naughty he gets head ache from shouting at us, mind you, we don't take any notice!

OTL's optician  did that trick, you know new glasses and come back in a year but he went back in six months, walked into the front door with a bang and said ere' I can't see!

It still took some time before he was called into the hospital to have his cat racks removed!

Now, one of his eyes has sort of gone back to just like it was when he had the cat racks, so, he has an appointment in the eye hospital for them to do some laser work on his eye! The only problem is the appointment is not until mid January!

OTL says that if he looks at the computer screen too much, he gets head aches, so we reckon there is a couple of cat racks left behind and they need to be chased away!

Dinner is calling, so we must be away, mind you it's only Doggy Scoff but OTL has been promised some meat and I can't take my pill unless it's wrapped up in meat!

Sneaky or wot?

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Snoozy sort of day!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

It's been one of those Honky sort of days. You know, the ones that seem to do nothing and end up vanishing with out a trace!

Old Two Legs has been blessed with the cold that The Missus has kindly passed on!

OTL is not a happy bunny!

He says he would rather just stay in bed and let everyone get on with the day!

No chance!

Holly was awake first, somewhere around three thirty when TM got up to make a quick card and watch the F1 race recording!

Holly cuddled up to OTL and made sure his ear was nice and clean!

It seems that OTL has got over the clock change quickly, he woke up at ten to six and made a sort of groaning sound, the sort of noise he makes when he would rather be doing something else!

We went out for out walk and Eric cuddled up to OTL and refused to get down for a run until we were on our way back and on the top path!

I've never seen him get across the football field so quickly!

The view across the estuary was rather uninspiring, no sign of the sun at all!

I mean, just how boring can one picture be?

Back home it was 'Accounts Day' so that is boring computer stuff with spread sheets and bits of paper!

Still, I suppose he has to do that to keep us all warm and well looked after!

That reminds me, I must have a chat with him about our holidays next year, Holly and I fancy going back to the Mull of Kintyre again 'cos the beach is wonderful!

Lunchtime we had to drag him away from the computer cos Holly and I were walking around with our legs crossed!

The weather had not changed, still cold windy and uninspiring and Monty and Wendy refused to  get out of bed for a walk!

In fact Monty did suggest we took Eric instead!

While OTL was plonking away on the computer us woofers were having a chat about the warm weather we have had this year and how we wished it were as warm now!

Still, with a bit of luck we will have another warm year. Holly says that the phenomenon known as El Nino should bring some warm winds but the down side is that the winters could be colder!

Claws crossed that we miss out on the cold stuff, maybe a week of snow, a quick thaw and balmy breezes until summer starts around February time?

Well, we can dream!

We got chicken today so we are off to see if TM has filled our bowls!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Happy Birthday Eric de Ferret!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Eric is two years old today, well we can't be too sure but we guess he is around that age and the day is determined by the day the ferret arrives in our house!

We heard Monty, May and Wendy singing 'Happy Birthday' in ferret and Holly, who is learning 'Ferret' says that it was the rudest song she had heard and then she sat down with a pencil and a sheet of paper to translate it into the common tongue so we can all understand it!

It goes something like,

Happy Birthday Ereek the Bloo
Lift yer tail up for a poo
Now run yer belly in yer wee
And don't you come close to meeeee!

Well, that was as close as Holly could get without the censor crossing out the words!

On our morning walk, Eric decided to stay in Old Two Legs arms for a cuddle 'cos it was rather cold and windy and Eric said that as it's his birthday then he would decide on just how far he was walking!

This is Cuddly Walk Weather!
Mind you, that didn't stop him giving me a nip 'cos I didn't get out of his way soon enough!

Back home he enjoyed a game of 'Plastic Bag' with OTL. That is where Eric dashes into the shopping bag and OTL tries to trap Eric in the bag before he dashes out again!

Then Eric went off hunting Smoothies and he found one in The Missuses card room, so he hid it behind all the boxes of stuff so that if you want to get it out, you will have to hire a ferret or take the shelving apart!

Monty said he would put in a good price!

Lunchtime Miss Wendy and Monty came out with us but because of the chilly wind they stayed inside the ferret bag! Monty was playing with OTL's fingers by nibbling them then licking the back of his hand!

Finally they got out of the bag and headed for the car. Both of them kept their heads down as the wind was coming in off the sea and the waves were being blown along with white horses on their tops!

Sunny but cold and windy!
Back to the football field the trees slowed down the wind so both ferrets had a fun time racing across the field.

Holly was trying to be crafty, she pretended not to see the two crows who use the field as a feeding spot.

They pretended not to see Holly and Holly pretended not to notice them, until the last moment!

In the end the crows got away, never mind, there is always tomorrow!

Wot Crow?             Wot Dog?
OTL had to go out this after noon so Holly and I kept a watch out of the bedroom window until he got back.

It's fun spotting the car coming down the road and Holly and I go just a little potty!

Eric has been making the most of his birthday, he keeps getting out of bed and rattling the cage so OTL has to give him a slurp of Ferretone, his favourite treat!

We reckon he has maybe another two slurps before bedtime!

OK, we are off to see what's for dinner, see you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Back to Real Time again!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Wot a change, we get a whole hour extra in bed but The Missus wakes up at Two Thirty, can't get back to sleep and makes sure we are awake!

We bet she's tired tonight!

We got down the sea front and instead of getting down as soon as possible Eric stayed cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms! You know, he didn't get down until we turned for home!

Eric says he doesn't like cold or wet!

Mind you, just for a change, we saw a bit of a sunrise, not exactly an earth shattering view but at least we saw a little shaft or light poking through the clouds.

A small shaft of light!
Over head the clouds couldn't make up their mind what they will do, some of them rushed past us while others dropped some rain on us and there was a hole in the clouds at one time where we could see the blue sky!

A little bit of everything!
Lunchtime it was raining again so Monty and Wendy stayed tucked up i their beds and refused to come out!

When we got to the car park it was still raining and OTL had to attach the lead to both Holly and I before we would go any further!

Needless to say, OTL left the camera in the car and Holly and I did the fastest run around the route we normally take but at double speed!

The afternoon was spent mounting the eagle picture in the frame and hanging it on the lounge wall.

Doesn't look too bad, so we will keep it there until he does another one worthy of hanging!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Visit by The Cat Woman!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Today we have been looking forward to tomorrow, you know, clocks back an hour!

Yeah, back to 'Real Time'!

This morning it was too cloudy, too dark and too early for any photos, I mean, we could hardly see Eric and he was very close to our tail for comfort!

On top of that it was windy and cold! Old Two Legs has been wearing a woolly hat over the last couple of weeks. This morning the wind was blowing through the hat and chilling his bald head!

Poor Lad!

When we got home the hat was put in the cupboard and his old Tilly Hat dug out from the bottom of his hat box!

OTL had decided that he would print up the photo he took of the Sea Eagle when he and Alun was on the Isle of Mull. Now, that job should take no more than one hour including the mounting it in the frame.

Well, that was the plan.

By the time he had cleaned and calibrated the printer head it was half past three in the afternoon!

Mid morning there was a banging on the front door, it was The Cat Woman who had come over to see The Missus and also pack up a couple of hampers for the Harrietsham Ferret Show where we hopefully, our ferrets might win a rosette for being best in class or even, Best in Show!

The show is on the 29th November and there is no entrance charge!

There is Allhallows Croppers Card 'O' Thong next April or May which we will make up some more hampers, last year OTL won the 'Guess the Weight' of a super cake which he finished off without sharing it with anyone!

We reckon he will put in a request for a bigger cake next year!

He really is a bit of a Piggy!

Holly and I were tickled pink to have a pack of Chicken Fillets and some Chicken Treats from The Cat Woman, given to OTL for us!

It was just as well OTL got them first 'cos Holly and I would only start a fight!

Holly jumped up and sat on The Cat Woman's Chair Arm for a whole hour and a half snuggling up, just in case there was some more nibbles!

Mind you, she said she could sniff Cats and had a terrible time not woofing her tail off and chasing The Cat Woman around the garden!

Wot made it worse, she didn't get any nibbles!

OTL finally got the printer heads unblocked and printed the eagle photo and it will go on the wall in the lounge!

Fish for Dinner!
So, now the printer is back and working I will expect he will be printing some other photos for hanging on the office walls!

Holly reckons that we should have a picture of us two on the wall!

Now, don't forget, clocks back one hour tonight!

I think that every clock in our house is controlled by radio signals or gets the time off the Internetty, no, tell a fib, the kitchen clock is a 'Manual' one!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's getting a bit chilly down on the beach!

Hi Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now, I know we have had a really super year this year as far as the sun shine and warmth goes but we really don't like the cold, I mean, after a year of warm we now have to get used to cold and wet and damp and snow and frost!

It just ain't on you know!

This morning was very dark, no moon or stars or sun rise glow, in fact nuffin, so, no pictures!

Eric says that Old Two Legs could use the flashy thing on top of the camera but you just can't get the depth of field with that and on top of that, it makes your eyes go funny!

Now lunchtime is all together different, at least it is light and you can see what's coming down the path towards you!

You can also see just how far in front of you those ferrets have got!

Just finish this wee and I suppose we'll have to catch them up!
Mind you, Miss Wendy doesn't care 'cos all she is interested in doing is to get back into the bag for a cuddle!

Slow down OTL I need a cuddle!
Young Monty was keeping warm by chasing Nargles in and out of the grass. Holly told him that the 'Nargles' were really gnats that were bound to disappear on the first frost!

Disappear? But that's no fun any more!
Every day when we get back to the car, OTL puts the ferrets in their cage after a slurp of water, then Holly wanders over and gets lifted into the back of the car while I sort of hang about, in the middle of the football field, looking into space or watching the birds fly past!

OTL starts of with a whistle, then a louder and longer whistle then he calls me. At that point I normally turn around and show him my tail!

That normally does it, he comes stomping across the field in a straight line towards me muttering all manner of evil curses!

I wait until he is a few feet away from me then I dash past him and run back to the car and jump in the back with Holly and the ferrets!

Well, the old Duffer needs some exercise after sitting all day in front of the computer!

I look on it as though I'm doing him a big favour!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Another Sun Shiny Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We are 'Back to Normal' here in sunny North Kent!

Old Two Legs woke up at five this morning then went back to sleep again until ten to six when I woke him up with a big wet tongue in his ear!

That was it, he was up and running in no time! It was still dark 'cos the sun was still in bed but the moon was what OTL calls 'Full'.

No, that's the moon!
So, after taking that picture of the moon, OTL turns around and that's where the sun comes up!

Here comes the sun, in about half an hour!
Miss May stayed in bed but as normal, Eric de Ferret came out with us and he just loves the dark and running up behind us!

Normally we don't see anyone else when we went out this morning we saw Three Two Legs and Four Woofers!

I can see that when the clocks change we might be up earlier, just to get a quiet walk!

Lunchtime it is all different, the sun is up and warming the whole place, we can see if there is a woofer on the horizon and, there is always the chance of a 'Deep Paddle'!

Monty is always up for a 'Ferret About' in the grass while Miss Wendy takes a little time to get going!

I think I see a Nargle!
Monty is such a bundle of fun and mischief he makes us laugh! Take the sniffs. He will creep up behind Holly and wait for her to finish the sniff before diving in and pretending she really is enjoying it!

After you with sniff Miss Holly Chops!
Tomorrow, the calendar on the computer says that OTL has got to make an appointment with the vet for Eric to get stabbed with his Distemper protection!

I hate getting stabbed but Eric says that he is big and tough and can take it!

Blooming show off!

Breaking news! Eric's jab is January not October so the little rat has got away with it until next year!

Today we have been served up Doggy Scoff, not my favourite but Holly said she felt hungry and chomped her way through almost all of it, leaving a little bit for a nibble before bed.

Now I really don't fancy eating eye balls, Archie Babe has got some strange tastes!

Hey! We saw a grey squirrel on the outskirts of the village, who knows, it won't be long before they land up in our garden wrecking the peanut bird feeder!

Then Holly and I will have some fun chasing them away!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Eye Eye, the TL's are here!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

The Missus has picked up some cold germs and is letting us know she is not feeling well!

Yesterday she was blowing her nose while we were watching the TV and last night she kept waking us up with her snoring!

Needless to say, we all overslept by a whole hour, and that includes Old Two Legs as well!

By the time we were up and down the sea side, the sun was up, out of bed and laughing at us for being so lazy!

Beat Ya! I beat Ya!
Eric was still a bit sleepy and didn't get down for a run until we were about to head back to the car!

Wossat thing in the sky?
The sun came up and Eric said that he was blinded by the light, still, he headed back to the car at top speed!

You know, it really hurts your eyes if you look at it!
Of course, once he got moving there was no stopping him, Holly and I were forced into a trot almost all the way back!

Come on girls, get yer tails in gear!
Lunchtime there were the normal crowds of Mini Two Legs bouncing along the Sea Wall plus their parents and grand parents. Of course, they all had woofers who wanted to sniff the ferrets and OTL was forever having to pick them up!

The ferrets that is!

That's it, clear orf!
I did a naughty, as we walked down the hill OTL was looking at Holly and missed me!

Down the hill I went and straight into the water for a 'Deep Paddle'!

Yep! I ended up being a right Soggy Doggy!

We hear that it is going to get colder as the week progresses, so I can't see me doing much more splashing about!

I'm off to see what there is for dinner, maybe chicken if we are lucky!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Getting Over The Day After!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, ten years and one day old!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Yesterday was a blast, we had loads of treats and nibbles and we were up reading all the good wishes that came in on the Internetty in fact, we had so many nibbles that this morning Holly Chops had the Grumbly Tum!

Maybe next time she won't be such a Piggly!

This morning, as we were getting ready to go out for a walk, Old Two Legs spotted a bright light gliding across the sky, a lot slower than the Airy Plane that normally fly up the Thames.

So, grabbing the camera he took this picture and after zooming in on it, we decided it was a plane!

An OoEfOh or a slow flying Airy Plane?
It was still dark when we got to the beach but by using a very ISO setting, OTL was able to get a shot of the morning light before the sun got up!

This is number two shot and it is just a blurry as the first but at least you can see the sea!!
Even at lunch time Holly was still complaining about her tummy but the ferrets kept taking the micky and told her she shouldn't have been so greedy!

Mind you, even I didn't fancy a game of chase!

If you want to play chase, then chase your own tail!
Something we noticed, it's half term for the local mini Two Legs, so, there they are, playing on the beach and charging all over the place. Then they spot the ferrets and it's all 'Can I stroke them?' and the normal questions.

No one takes any notice of us, we don't get strokes, we have to sit and wait until they have all finished. To add insult to injury, the ferrets creep up and tell us to 'Get a move on!'

One day!

So that's it today for us.

OTL has been up the ladder clearing the gutters out ready for the winter wind and rain so we are set up for the bad weather!

It looks like we got Doggy Scoff tonight so I can see us doing some serious mugging ahead of us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's our Birthday!

Hello all you Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

We are ten years old, that's Holly and me, Daisy Dog!

Now Holly and I can't really remember being born but we must have been happy!

Today, being a Special Day, Holly and I have made up our very own birthday song, it goes like this,......
Happy Birthday to us,
Let's poo on the bus,
Have a wee on the carpet,
Happy Birthday to us!

After our morning walk which was very dark, in fact so dark that Old Two Legs didn't even take any pictures! Well, we got back home and had a look at the comments from yesterday, only to find that Archie Babe had got all excited and left us a Birthday song! Both Holly and I learnt the song straight away and have been singing it all morning and we even got OTL to tell us to 'Belt Up!'

Archie Babe has managed to wind up OTL without being here!

Good on you Archie!

Now, The Missus passed on an electronic birthday card that shows a range of jungle animals having a birthday party. OK, no problems there, in fact it is rather good, except, you have to click on each animal to make it do something. Well that should be OK but when we clicked on the animals, one by one, they did the action accompanied by a raucous fart!

We LOVED IT!

The ferrets have been singing 'Birthday Songs' as well but we don't speak Ferret, but they assure us that they are both rude and smelly!

Trust a ferret to do that!

We also got a Birthday Message from Google!

We reckon OTL had something to do with this!
Mind you, being famous like wot we are I'm sure that Twittwer, FaceAche and the rest will follow later today!

Lunchtime we were out with Monty and Wendy, sniffing all the sniffs and OTL didn't tell me to keep out of the water!

Mind you, I didn't go in 'cos it looked a bit yucky!

Tempting but not enough and anyway, OTL is looking!
Never mind, it didn't stop us from having a good sniff and a roll!

After you with the sniff Holly Chops!
Miss May sort of woke up late afternoon and asked to go out for a walk on the football ground
behind our house. She had a walk and several good rolls in the grass but after a while she decided it was just too much and crawled up into OTL's arm for a carry home!

Still, she got her run and a sniff!

We have had a big bowl of chicken, freshly cooked which I must admit, went down like a greasy rat down a drain pipe!

Following that we had the Jumbone Treat and later we even had a teeth cleaning chew!

I didn't eat all mine 'cos I'm saving that for later this evening or even tonight before going to bed!

Well, we have had a super day and a big woofing thank you for all the good wished and we will look forward to next years party!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Another Lazy Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

I don't know about you but today has been all sunshine and balmy breezes!

The Missus got up early'ish this morning and she managed to wake everyone up. You know, lights being switched on and off, crashing about in the 'store room' and marching up and down the stairs with her hob nailed wellies!

We were not amused!

It ended up with Old Two Legs getting up a whole ten minutes earlier than normal!

Down on the sea front the sun was still sleeping but we did see the glow in the sky and because there were no clouds it looked gently dramatic, if you know what I mean!

When OTL first got up it was still dark and when he looked out of the bedroom window he could see the Orion star cluster, all lit up like a Christmas tree!

Here comes The Sun, in about half an hour or so!
We didn't mind 'cos at that time in the morning there were no other woofers around and young Eric could run and play where ever he wanted to without worrying about woofers with big teeth!

Mind you, that is not what happened when we went out again at lunchtime.

Being a Sunday, and sunny and not raining, we had all the tourists marching up and down the sea front. There seemed to be woofers attached to each of the tourists and OTL had to keep his eyes open and be alert for any dangers.

In fact we were all alert, you know Lerts can be just as troublesome as Nargles!

I got all sneaky, you see, OTL was watching all these tourists and strange woofers but he was not keeping his eyes on me and I did a 'Sneaky' on him.

I headed off to the beach and had a quick 'Deep Paddle'. Honest, I was really looking out for these Lerts and it was a good job 'cos we don't want any trouble with Lerts while the ferrets are having a sniff in the grass!

Me, being sort of A Lert!
Back home OTL has been 'Manufacturing' and packing things up ready for the carriers tomorrow. After he had finished, Miss May started rattling on the cage door, that means she wants to go out!

So, leaving us in doors, he took May out over the football field for a run around. Well, May can't really run too far, had a small wander and a roll in the grass, then she has a carry with OTL, then she gets down for another roll and a run, after which she goes back for a carry and then another small run and a roll.

After all that, she stays in OTL's arms and they head back home for a snooze, May that is!

We spent the rest of the afternoon watching the recording of F1 Qualifying, all ready for the race tonight.

I've just seen the food bowl...............Doggy Scoff again!

See you tomorrow and don't forget, we want loads of songs!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Lazy or Wot!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back with you again!

Well, today has been one of those terribly busy days when we seem to have done nothing in particular and taken a long time doing it!

Our morning walk was dark and just a little chilly, not that Eric worried about that, he stayed cuddled up in Old Two Legs arms for half the walk and ran all the way back to the car stopping only for a wee and a sniff!

All we could see was the lights over Sheerness and the first glow of the sun and it was thinking of getting out of bed!

OTL had to use a very high ISO in the camera to get the picture.

I must ask him one day what an ISO is!

Sheerness by street light!
When we got back home The Missus had already gone off to the village hall so Holly and I headed for the bed for a snooze while OTL got down to shovelling poo out of the ferret cages!

After the chores, he was back onto the computer transferring files from one computer to the other.

Dead boring if you ask me!

Lunchtime walk was better, well at least we could see where we were going!

Holly and I wanted to go down on the beach but OTL said we had to stay away 'cos Holly can't behave herself and after ploughing up the sand with her nose and getting sand in her eyes, she would have to go down to the vet and get eye drops and watch OTL cry as he handed over his credit card!

Looks inviting but not good for Holly's eyes!
Back home again to some nosh, chicken, freshly cooked this morning. Holly and I ate half each, saving the remainder for later tonight!

OTL had a bite to eat and then we all fell asleep in front of the TV while watching the F1 practice!

Not that it was boring it was just, 'uneventful'!

After watching the recordings OTL went off to the computer again to transfer some more data.

I did say it was boring, right!

So that's it today, busy doing boring things, maybe tomorrow will be better.

I know Monday will be fun 'cos it will be our birthday! Yep! Holly and I will be all of ten years old!

We will be expecting loads of birthday cards and loads of emails saying 'Happy Birthday' and Archie Babe is going to compose a really rude song, just for us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Something Different!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

As you may have noticed, it's Friday!

Old Two Legs has had a lucky break, he managed to get the computer to do what he wanted it to do without without it falling over and pretending to die!

Mind you, there were moments of 'Re-naming' the computer!

I never knew a computer could have so many names!

This morning was just too dark for photos and the sun hadn't even got out of bed, never mind poking it's nose over the horizon!

Young Eric enjoys the dark, you see he is almost invisible in the dark 'cos his hair is black and very dark brown, so, all we see is a flash of black heading for our legs!

At lunchtime Monty and Wendy were out with us and there was no hiding in the grass and jumping out and shouting 'BOOO'!

Holly was getting all philosophical and questioning the existence of Nargles!

Holly reckons that as we have never seen a Nargle therefore it goes that there are no Nargles. If there are no Nargles then where did the name come from and why is it that so many times we hear everyone mention Nargles and on top of that, how do we know the spelling is correct?

It could be, if they exist, they are called Nargulls and that's the reason why we have never seen one 'cos we have been looking for Nargles!

I really don't do Fillysofficals so I just look interested and nod when she looks at me!

I've been thinking...................!
Now, while Holly has been doing her Fillysofficals, Wendy and Monty were having fun in the grass. OTL caught Wendy trying to get up the steps and falling back onto her tail!

There's never a ladder around when you need one!
It was lucky for her that OTL put his hand under her tail and gave her a lift up!

One the football field both ferrets just love a good run on the grass. Providing there are no woofers around, both ferrets think it is all great fun!

Hang on, I've got to get my breath back!
Tomorrow The Missus is up the village hall with the 'Girls' sloshing the glue and glitter. Now normally TM makes a Tea Cake the size of a tea tray and she never brings any home.

Now today she decided to make a sponge cake with cream and jam in the middle, well, that was the plan.

Holly reckons TM has been watching too many of those 'Bake Off' programs, you know the ones that seem to get 'Soggy Bottoms'!

So, determined not to get a soggy bottom, TM wound up the oven so you could melt iron in it!

In goes the sponge mix and off she goes to mess about on her mobile phone.

A little later the smoke alarm goes off and we all rush into the kitchen to view the sponge cake.

You will be pleased to know that there were no soggy bottoms. The tops didn't have any Duck Ponds but rather they looked like burnt out volcano's!

The bottoms were flat and about the same consistency of iron manhole covers!

Tomorrow TM will be taking some Tea Cake up to the hall!

See you tomorrow!

It's that Computer Again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Us woofers have been benefiting from Old Two Legs reading the Stephen Hawking's 'A Brief History of Time' only this is the third time he has read it and still he is mystified on several points!

We reckon he has also learnt some serious descriptions of our computer!

Judging by what he has been calling it today we don't think E=MCquite covers it!

If it were me I'd learn how to use pen and paper!

We were up early again this morning and discovered that The Missus was still in bed!

Most unusual!

OTL got up and found that the downstairs light was still on, so that means TM has been up 'Getting Inspired'!

When we went out we got inspired as well, Eric said he could hear Nargles and I'm sure I heard something moving in the grass!

Wossat?
The computer naming carried on all morning and in the end TM said she couldn't stand it any more and rushed off to the doctors surgery to get her ears syringed out!

That left us having to use the big car to get down to the beach with Wendy and Monty.

Monty was dashing about while Wendy had her head in the grass having a good sniff for monsters!

Monty reckons he saw the monster but before he could jump on top of it, it ran away!

Well, I did see a monster but it ran off as soon as it saw me!
Now, we all think that when OTL or TM goes to have their eyes sorted, they should take Monty with them and get his checked out!

Today we have got chicken instead of Doggy Scoff but the only problem is, we got scoff tomorrow!

OTL is still playing with the computer so we will leave him to it and head off to see what nibbles there are in the kitchen!

With her ears all washed out, TM can hear us coming down the stairs!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Five cats?

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's been a funny old day today. The Missus overslept by a couple of hours, Old Two Legs said it was the booze!

We were out good and early as well but we were still up before the sun poked it's nose over the horizon.

At the point where we turn back to the car OTL took a picture of a ship leaving on the morning tide.

Steady as you go Number One!
We told OTL that we were getting fed up with missing the morning sun but he said that the clocks go back in a couple of weeks and we can have as much sun as we want!

Mind you, we will be getting an extra hour in bed!

As we got back to the car, we looked back to see the sun shining on the clouds and aeroplane vapour trails!

Roll on the end of the month, an extra hour plus a sunrise every morning!
Of course, lunchtime Monty was all for sunshine and getting up an hour later than normal 'cos at the moment he doesn't show his tail until eight thirty!

Mind you, OTL says that when he grows up he'll be a 'Ferret of Leasure'!

Down on the grass he was having a great time hunting, there were slugs and snails but after a sniff decided that were not for eating and then tried hunting mouses and shrews instead!

That slug sniffed like a load of woofer poo!
One thing they both do is to try to keep up with us as we walk along the grass path. Unlike that hooligan Eric who thinks it's funny to try to give us a nip!

These two just like to keep up with us and of course, if Holly and I get involved in a good sniff they will wander on a bit then sit down to wait for us!

Yep! They are right behind us!
Now, we had some fun this afternoon, you see OTL had got some new cable to connect the com[outers and the Internetty Modem together. We sort of misheard what he was saying and so we though that he had brought in five cats!

Well, he said he had some Cat5 cables!

Just wait, one day we'll get him with our Sub Woofers!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

The Sun is back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

What a difference a day makes!

For instance, The Missus stayed up an hour later than normal watching the final Harry Potter DVD. That means she will wake up an hour later than normal which means.............we get longer in bed to finish off our sleep!

It also means that Old Two Legs gets woken up earlier and that means...............we get down the Sea Front before the sun gets up!

Now, this is not on!
We don't mind walking in the dark but you would have thought the Sun could have woken up to say hello!

Little Eric was ferreting around but had only his nose to guide him. Holly suggested that he borrows OTL's head lamp but after discussion with OTL we decided that battery would be too heavy!

Can you make the flash a bit longer?
Eric decided that it would be a good excuse he could use when he ran into the back of us!

I'm coming to get yooooo!
As we headed back to the car, the clouds sort of parted and we could see a bright patch but nowhere near where the sun should be!

Maybe it's a Yoo Ef Ho!

It was much better at lunchtime, the clouds have been blown away and the sun was out making everything warm again!

Monty and Wendy were enjoying a good ferret while Holly and I said Hello to a woofer we hadn't seen for ages!

Monty then had a good idea!

If we closed our eyes then ran into Holly or Daisy would that be a good excuse?
Well, he tried but as he got close I told him I could see his shadow and that I was feeling very hungry and could just fancy a Ferret Sandwich!

Yeah? Well I just fancy Woofer on Toast!
We all had a good laugh 'cos Wendy and Monty are not like Eric and have never given us a nip!

Back home we all headed off for a snooze before dinner.

Yesterday we had Doggy Scoff and OTL had Curry.

We don't like scoff and curry in not my favourite, so we had to starve all evening until we took a deep breath and finished off the scoff!

If the weather is going to be the same tomorrow, we are going to get OTL out into the garden.

That will teach him!

Mind you, we may get chicken tonight, but that won't get him out of trouble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's WET!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here on a wet Monday!

After all of the super weather we have had this year, it looks like the 'normal' weather is back. Over night we were woken by the rain drops on the window and the dripping of the water, over the gutter and down onto the window ledge!

It didn't help to have The Missus bouncing around in bed and kicking both Holly and I off the bed!

As normal, it was pitch black when we went out for our morning walk and the rain was just finishing.

Old Two Legs decided to leave the camera at home 'cos he didn't want to get it all wet. It didn't matter 'cos the sun stayed behind the clouds and to be honest, there was nothing to see at all!

Eric was doing his favourite trick of waiting for Holly and I to catch up and then hurrying us up to get back to the car before it rained again!

Lunchtime the rain had eased off so Wendy and Monty were out with us. Monty walked all the way from the car, across the football field and all the way down to the Sea Wall. It was at that point he went looking for Nargles!

I think I've found one, I'm sure it's a Nargle, I know it's a Nargle!

After a good ferret around and a lot of snuffling he lifted his head and said.........

It's run away!
That's the trouble with Nargles, they always run away!

Looking at the weather forecast, we should be getting some better weather over the next few days.

On our way around the walk today we met up with a bird watcher who complained that he hadn't seen any geese on the mud flats and I must say that the Brent Geese normally turn up at the end of September and the Canada Geese are normally here by now.

I reckon all the geese have stayed on holiday 'cos the weather has been so warm this year!

So, have a look at the area where you live to see when the winter birds arrive!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!
