Super Red Woofing Moon!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Well? Did you see it? I mean we have been told about it, what time it starts and the best time to view it and what did you do? Slept all the way through it I bet!

OTL almost missed it, like, he got up at ten past four, had a quick look out the curtains on his way out to the loo, then another look on his way back to bed and again at five fifty he got up and had another look. Both times there were bits missing from the moon but it wasn't red, a sort of silvery pale pinkish thing in the sky!

We were listening to the radio where an 'Expurt' was talking about what you missed at the very moment of full eclipse. The best description we heard was, 'If you were standing on the moon looking at earth, you would be seeing all the sunrise and sunsets all over the world at the same time!

Hey! Now then, wouldn't I like to see that, and better still, what would you call it, 'The Earth Fire Ring' ?

We didn't bother with the camera this morning 'cos unless we were up at five thirty we wouldn't have seen the red moon!

Mind you, at lunch time we could see the effect of the Super Full Moon had on the tide, right up the beach it was!

A Super Red Woofy High Tide and it's on the way out now!
Looking out over the Thames Estuary we could see the ships going past and a good showing of sea mist!

I see no ships! Only Hardships!
Back home there was a big bowl of chicken waiting for me and the prospect of a good snooze afterwards!

Tonight we will be watching the last of the DVD's while Old Two Legs is slurping the last few drops he manages to squeeze out of the bottle of malt whisky!

One of the good things is that he will be nibbling at a box of shortbread he got for Christmas and of course being 'Expurts' on Shortbread, Holly and I help him, with the Short Bread, not the whisky!

We both had a sniff of whisky some time back and we decided it was awful! I mean, you could clean a tractor engine with that stuff!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Spring is on it's way!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

It's still got that chill in the air that Holly Chops thinks is snow! I'm not too sure but at least there is no snow today!

Being Sunday we were up a little later than normal and Old Two Legs thought there may even have been a sun rise display but the clouds soon stopped that and it was all rather grey and windy, not the best conditions for a sunny sunrise!

Lunchtime was better, blue sky and sun, even though it wasn't very high in the sky!

To make it worse, the tide was in so no dash along the beach for us, just a sniff of the sea wall!

Not the most exciting vista this month!
One good thing, we spotted some leaf buds starting to swell up. Holly says it's a good sign 'cos it means that the Spring is getting ready to be sprung!

Our churchyard already has the normal display of Daffy Dills along the path up to the door!

Spring is springing out again!
We met up with Max and Oscar who were both woofing at a rather large German Shepherd Woofer who was pointedly ignoring both of them!

We had a little woof but stayed well away from him!

Being Sunday we spent most of the afternoon snoozing and watching a couple of DVDs and yes, falling asleep every so often!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Jet Stream, Snow and Yuk?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

You know, Saturday in our kennel is always 'Relaxing', well, let's say that we don't really exert ourselves too much. During the week we are always ready to help Old Two Legs with all the stuff he has to do and then of course there is the guarding, Archie Babe will know all about that and we also have to keep the ferrets in line as well!

Saturday starts off like any other day except we normally get up half an hour later than normal and as the days are getting longer, there is always the chance of a sunrise.

OK, not the full blown sun beams and red sky!
So, being Saturday, just in case, OTL took the camera with us when we went out.

We don't have those silly LED lights around our collars but if there is a tiddly bit of light, it gets reflected off our harnesses, just like this!

Is this wot they call 'Shoulder Flashes?'
Back home The Missus had left for the village hall for her fix of glue slapping and inky fingers!

First thing was the Ferret cleaning. So, being understanding woofers, Holly and I left OTL to it while we snoozed on the bed and generally relaxed!

Miss May was well up for a game with Eric and soon told him where to get off!

Monty and Wendy were in the same mood for a game and spent time chasing each other through the cardboard tubes and behind all the furniture!

Lunchtime we woke up just in time to catch the late lunchtime wall and rabbit chase. We always like chasing the rabbits around the gorse bushes and if Holly manages to chase them around the back of the bush and I chase them around the front, the rabbits end up not knowing which way they should run!

You know there are times when OTL gets involved in the chase as well when the rabbits nearly run him over!

Come on OTL, you gotta be quicker than that!
The one thing about today was it it was colder and windier than yesterday and Holly reckons she can sniff snow on the air. It seems like there might be a change in direction of the Jet Stream which means that it will be bringing cold winds down from the north!

I reckon it won't be long before OTL digs his gloves out! You know he hasn't got them out at all since last year!

OK, we are off for some chicken, so bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

and today there was Frost!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Yesterday it was snow and wind and rain and today it's frost and cold and not so much wind!

It also has been sunny and complete with blue skies!

Mind you, the hill is still here and Old Two Legs is insisting that we climb up the hill to 'get some exercise'!

I think I'd rather enjoy the sniffs than run up there again!
Not that OTL was listening, so, up we go and there was one small benefit from us, we got 4XPaw traction!

That means we can get up the hill quicker than OTL which gives us a chance to get in some sniffs until he turns up!

Fancy joining us in a sniff OTL?
Another good thing is that from the top of the hill we can see down onto the football field and the bushes where some of the rabbits hide!

Look! The car seems miles away!
After the lunchtime walk we headed off to a couple of customers to do some deliveries. OTL took the stuff in and we sorted the paperwork out by sitting on the delivery notes!

Miss May was all bright and full of fun today, she has been bouncing around the cage this afternoon, which is a good sign especially when she chases after Eric and grabs his tail and gives it a good shake!

The Missus has been back to get her eyes checked and has been given some more drops for OTL to put in her eyes.

Tomorrow we are planning to watch that DVD OTL got for his birthday, so far we have all fallen asleep half way through it so if we are lucky, we might see it from start to finish!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Snow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well, it's the day after his birthday and he has been taking it 'easy'. Honest, it had nothing to do with the champagne or the malt whisky he  managed to consume last night.

Well, that's what he said!

It seems that The Missus mentioned it on FaceAche and got about a hundred comments and 'Happy Birthday's when she told the tale of the birthday card where the ink was still wet!

No wonder she got up early yesterday!

Today it was a little later than normal but let's face it, Old Two Legs has long ago stopped having to 'clock in' and nowadays starts and stops when he feels like it!

It was rather cold and cloudy first thing and believe or not, we had snow for about ten minutes!

Snow, this early!

Mind you, by the time we got out again at lunchtime, it was all clear blue sky and sunshine and a rather chilly wind!

It's a long way up!
When we got to the top there was a rather cold wind blowing, so, we didn't hear OTL call us when he went off exploring the whacking great moat that had been dug when they first built the gun emplacements.

Is that him down there?
We have never been down into the big hole, it looks too deep and too dangerous, just imaging all the Nargles living down there!

It may be blowy but we'll stay on top!
We came down off the top and managed to get a run along the beach before OTL spotted us!

Race you to the steps!
Back home we all settled down to watch a DVD, one of OTL's birthday presents and of course OTL fell asleep half way through and had to be woken up by me licking his ear.

Only 'cos he was snoring!

Thank you all for the good wishes to OTL and the Birthday Songs!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Guess wot today is?

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

OK, stand to attention, important item of news!

Old Two Legs is 10,072 today!

So, all together, on the count of 93, ready?     1...........7............93!

Happy Birthday OTL
Hope you liked the pooy smell
We all did it in the corner
Then we all ran like hell!

There now, all he has to do is clear it up! You know it was difficult getting the ferret poo to balance on top of the woofer poo but we just managed it in the end. Holly said we should put a candle on it as well, being it is a birthday prezzie!

The ferrets reckon we shouldn't push it too much!

Our morning walk was in the dark, as usual, I'll be glad when we will see the sun again and the bright red sunrise!

Lunchtime it was rather grey, typical for this time of the year and OTL decided to take us up the same hill as yesterday!

I mean, like we are getting old as well you know!

This is as bad as yesterday!
We got to the top and the only thing we saw was a Wormy Man digging out on the mud flats.

Judging by the wind that was blowing across the top of the hill we reckon it must be terribly cold out on the flats!

Digging for 'Chilly Worms'!
Back home we had a look at the birthday cards and spotted one with a ferret on it!

Now, how many times have you seen ferrets on cards!

Archie Babe sent down an eCard of a load of woofers getting off their leads and having a good run around!

Thanks Archie!

Tonight The Missus has promised OTL a Chinese Take a Way, so it's Plawn clackers and King Plawns as well!

Yum Yum!

Must go, TM is lighting the candles on his cake and I'm in charge of the fire extinguisher!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Yesterday? Well..................

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Now, first of all, sorry about yesterday, it wasn't our fault, it was Old Two Legs wot caused us to miss yesterdays report!

We got dragged out at some silly time in the morning and rushed around and hurried up and generally bullied until we landed in the big car!

Off we went and after one or two drop offs to customers we ended up at Auntie Glynis and Uncle Alun's house. Now you will remember that Alun and OTL go off in early Spring and head off to Scotland to get into all manner of trouble!

They are like a couple of young hooligans let out for a few days, trouble is, they are both old and should have more sense!

We had a super day and didn't get back home until late, so no Daisy's Diary!

Today we were up a little late but it was still dark when we went out.

Lunchtime was different. To start off we met up with Barney IV, now he is one of these Doddle Dogs who is a big ball of fun and on top of that he just loves OTL!

Come on, Throw The Ball!
Just for a change today, OTL decided to climb the hill from the left hand side instead of the right hand side, it was a bit steep!

Bit of a climb that Holly Chops!
We ended going down past the beach and it was just too much for Holly and I, we dashed down onto the beach and raced up and down a few times, ending up on the rocks!

Can we have another run?
On the way back home we saw Barney IV again and Holly nearly woofed her tail off calling to him, me, I was a little more refined, I just growled!

I'm sure that's my ball!
OTL has been busy trying to catch up on what he missed out doing yesterday!

Holly and I decided to keep out of the way and spent the afternoon snoozing!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

If he thinks I'm getting in there he can think again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Ever get one of those days when it looks like nothing will happen and then by the time the day is over all manner of stuff has happened?

We had one of those days today!

It started off first thing this morning, Sunday, Old Two Legs was up before six. He said it was the snoring but there was only him in bed 'cos The Missus had got up at quarter past silly o clock!

So, Sunday morning, it's as black as a Newgate Knocker and we headed off for a walk while all the ferrets were curled up and snoring!

Yep! Miss Wendy was the loudest snore almost as loud as Holly Chops!

So, off we went expecting to see the normal crowd, like no one!

First we bumped into Cody and his mate, then there was some visiting bozo with a crazy looking poodle that had been crossed with a giraffe!

I mean, it had legs the size of goal posts!

That was it! No quiet stroll for us this morning!

Back home TM was crashing about in the bathroom giving it a clean and OTL noticed that the gissmo that held the shower head up was sort of drooping and hanging off the wall!

That was it, off to Bee & Queue clutching his wallet like it was about to be stolen!

Back he came with a new box of pipes and stuff that had TM oohing and arring like she had never seen a shower before!

We left her to it and headed off for our lunchtime walk.

Well, I reckon it's a rabbit!
There were some funny looking berries on the bushes, looking rather sad a unhappy, in fact they looked rather dead!

Better warn the birds about these!
Today we headed up and over the hill, nothing too exciting but it made a change to look  out over the sea.

Still looks grey out there!
Back home OTL started to assemble the new shower. He had gone all made and purchased one with two shower heads!

There was one that looked the size of a dustbin lid and the other was one of those hand held things. Now, we reckon that the big one was really meant for one of those Power Shower, you know, the one that blasts the sand off your back!

Well, he spent some time banging and bashing away until he had finally finished and then invited Holly and I in for an inspection.

We were not impressed!

When we get a was we have to suffer with a bucket of warm water and a scrub down with a Doggy Brush but this thing looks like we will be blasted into a corner and get jets of water blasted places where a little woofer should never get blasted!

In fact it was Holly that came up with the comment,

If he thinks I'm getting in there he can think again!

We shall see!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Grey Day!

Hi Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

You know, there are things that start off looking good but end up looking not so good when they arrive.

Take for instance 'The Weekend'.

There we are, working hard and making sure everything is working well, like Old Two Legs and The Missus and the Postman and the Dustbin Men. Then Friday is here and the sun has been shining and Saturday looks like it's going to be just great, and what happens next?

It gets colder, the clouds get all black and the rain starts!

It just ain't right!

Miss May has been pointedly ignoring the Kitten Scoff we got for her and has gone back to the Kibble she has always eaten. She is taking the pills but makes a bit of a fuss about having to share the Ferretone with the pill, even if it is all crushed up!

As for baby cats thinking "I'm superior to everything on this planet", they ain't met up with us yet!

When ever a cat tries to sneak across out garden we soon tell it all about us woofers and in which order we think they are!

Funny, they never hang about to discuss it any further!

Lunchtime wasn't much better, we went out and there it was, raining! OK, not too much but rain it did!

Back home things improved, OTL got out a carrot for us and we sat down the watch a film on the TV, 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'.

We have to watch it when TM is out 'cos she thinks it is too violent and should have a certificate X!

As if!

I suppose that we will have to clean up all the carrot crumbs before TM gets home from her Inky Glue Slapping day up the village hall!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Salmon and Turkey for Miss May!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

It's been another one of those 'Mix Up Days'.

Old Two Legs was up early to get us out and back and the cages cleaned before he headed of to the hospital to get his eyes checked.

He got checked by the consultant fella who said that OTL needed to have his eye ball 'Polished'!

Now he had his cattle racks done some time ago but it looks like a cattle rack has returned, so with the aid of some laser gun thingy, he's going to get blasted and sort out his eye.

Only problem is, it will take another twp months before he will be invited back in! We reckon that will total eight months to get an eye ball polished and it will take 'Only a few minutes'!

Maybe we should borrow a torch and have a go ourselves!

OTL ordered up some 'Kitten Food' for Miss May on the advice of the vet and it is supposed to get some extra protein into Miss May to help with her Insolinoma. Now it's OK to get the stuff in, but getting a ferret to eat is another thing!

Still, if there is nothing else then she should eat it, claws crossed!

OTL put half a tin in with May and Eric and he put the other half of the tin in with Wendy and Monty. Who knows, they might eat it when OTL isn't watching, then it will be the question of who actually ate it?

Now, all this talk of baths, hair cuts and stuff has made OTL dig out the clippers and charge them up!

I do hope it is just 'Maintanance' and not a planned job!

With OTL off to the hospital, that means The Missus had to take us out for the midday walk. We had to show her the way we like to go and we didn't have the bother of a camera clicking away every time we have a wee!

Tomorrow we have the whole day to ourselves 'cos TM is off to her Glue Slapping day at the village hall.

That means we will be 'Resting' on the sofa with all the nibbles we can find!

Who knows, we might have a go at the 'Kittens Nosh' if those ferrets turn their noses up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
