Sun, Rain, Snow and Cold!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back with you again!

You know I thought that Summer Time was supposed be full of warm winds and sunshine.

Not today, today it has been all of the seasons in one hit! There has been snow, (up North) and down here it is rain and then there was the sun that was fighting a loosing battle 'cos it was windy as well!

Not that inspiring is it?

It was so uninspiring that this morning we even left the camera in the car!

Come lunchtime it was a little better, not much, but just a little!

The woods are getting greener and the rabbits have got places to hide!
The wind had blown a lot of the clouds away and the sun came out but the wind kept the temperature down, I think it's called 'Wind Chill'.

I call it cold!

OK, how long before the wind goes away?
Once we got back into the forest we saw the new leaves bursting out of the buds. It's fun trying to guess the name of the tree!

Could it be a conker tree?
Back home Old Two Legs was working on some stuff that has to be shipped tomorrow.

It's all go for our little 'Entrepreneur'!

Let's hope tomorrow is warmer!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Lazy OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

You know how super efficient our Old Two Legs is? I mean, up at crack of dawn, rushing around cleaning and generally getting everyone sorted out ready for the day ahead?

Not today, OTL was a whole hour late in getting up this morning 'cos he had a bad night, indigestion, and his night was rather disturbed with hunting around for some tablets which he couldn't find so it was back to a few mouth fulls of milk and a grumble about The Missuses cooking.

Only TM didn't do any cooking last night and if she did. just what damage can she do with a pork pie salad?

Answers on a post card!

We didn't reckon on the weather and it looked like rain was going to chase us all the way home!

I think that is called a  'Squall'!
Back home TM was cooking our chicken so Holly and I kept guard at the kitchen door to make sure she doesn't burn it like wot she does to OTL's dinner.

I mean, how many people cook a salad?

Lunchtime it was a little better but not warm enough to bring the ferrets with us, so, they stayed at home snoozing!

It was interesting to see just how the undergrowth had sprouted up since we last photographed it!

Just wait until the leaves come out on the trees!
Mind you, the undergrowth is full of sniffs!

Well, I think it may be a fox!
Being we got up so late we came across a woofer we have seen a couple of time ago. He was out on his own and Holly wanted to rush down woofing at him as a joke!

Come on, let's give him a good woofin'!
Before we could do that, his mate came along behind and whispered in Holly's ear, 'I'm bigger than you'!

So we didn't do any woofing!

Now, your not going to woof at my mate are you?
We left them to it and headed off towards the car park. The plants are growing but we thing that the council will come along with their grass cutters and chop this lot down, like they did last year!

Holly was sniffing around and came across these plant looking things that I reckon look like fungi!

We shall keep an eye on these as we walk past every day and with a bit of luck we won't have them chopped down before we find out what they are!

Strange looking things!
One of the problem when they cut the grass and plants is that the insects have no where to breed and play when the sun shine comes out.

Holly and I are on guard duty again tonight so, if OTL gets up again we will be able to escort him to the fridge for another slurp of milk!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Summer?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well, Summer may have come but it's still both windy and cold!

Old Two Legs was going to give us a hair cut today but even he decided that he wouldn't be so cruel as to leave us all bald and chilly just yet!

We were up early and managed to get down to the sea shore just in time to catch the sun climbing over the horizon.

Well, OK, climbing over the hill!

Peek a Boo!
By the time we had chased a couple of rabbits back down their hole the sun had climbed a little more!

OK, not the best but we haven't seen it like this for some time!
Being the first of the month OTL has been busy with the computer and catching up with the invoicing.

Lunchtime it got a bit brighter but was still as cold 'cos the wind was blowing in off the sea. May and Eric spent some time in the ferret bag but May enjoyed her run across the football field both on the way out and on the way back!

Eric, on the other paw was quite happy to stay in the bag with just his nose poking over the top of the bag!

This afternoon we enjoyed a snooze on our beds, letting OTL carry on with with his work!

Dunno what is for dinner tonight but we hope it is muggable!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

First Day of Summer!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, let's all jump for joy! The Summer has arrived with a raspberry!

As a special treat for Old Two Legs, we woke him up a whole hour sooner than normal but actually it was the right time but just an hour earlier!

I can sympathise with OTL, I think all this fiddling about with the clocks is all wrong, they should leave it all set for GMT all year long and if you want to get up earlier to milk the cows, the get up earlier and leave up Town Woofers to sleep!

Us woofers have decided that we don't like being fiddled with!

Take this morning, up we get and OTL was up and wandering about in the dark looking for the camera 'cos he reckons there could be a sunrise worthy of photographing but when we got down to the sea shore what did we get?

North Wind and waves crashing onto the mud!
Well, so much for the Summer Sunrise, more like the morning foggy foggy dew!

Even when we turned towards the fort it didn't get any better, it looked right miserable!

The river flows from right to left but the wind is blowing it from left to right!
That was it, we didn't hang around too long, the wind was getting right up Holly's tail so she decided to get back to the car at double quick time!

Lunchtime wasn't much better, it was lighter but equally as cold and windy. We walked through the trees looking for anything interesting but all the birds were hiding in amongst the bushes and ivy.

I'll be glad when the sun comes back!
Looking back out to sea the weather had not changed a bit, it was still blowing from the north and there were more whit horses on the sea.

I think to best place is back on our bed snoozing the afternoon away!
Now, you know that Miss May has Insulinoma, well, it has made her loos a bit of weight and she is all skin and bone. The medicine that the vet prescribed has made her put on a bit of weight but OTL plans to fatten her up and has purchased some Convalescence Poweder that you mix with a drop of Lactose Free Milk until it is all creamy. Now, this stuff is supposed to help fatten her up a bit and OTL has been told that all ferrets just love the stuff!

With a bit of luck it should arrive on Monday and then we will see if Miss May slurps it all down as she is supposed to. It will be good to hide her crushed tablet in as well, once we have found out if she likes the stuff!

If she doesn't like it you can bet your tail that Eric will eat it all!

Today Eric has managed to pinch three of the 'Smoothies' that The Missus had hidden on her desk. TM managed to rescue one smoothie but the other two have gone!

I suppose we will have to start looking under all the furniture for the stolen goods!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Last day of Spring!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here on what is the Last Day of Spring!

Yep! Tomorrow when we wake up in will be an whole hour earlier and it will be officially Summer Time!

As it's an hour earlier Old Two Legs reckons there will be a good chance of a sunrise instead of the view we have today!

Not the best we've seen!
Mind you, without the sun and just the morning mist to play with we got this moody shot!

Yeah! This ones for Archie Babe!
Going through the wooded bit we could see the ground plants have put a bit of a spurt on and are getting their blossom out before the trees block out all the Light!

Who knows what insects will be here this year?
Climbing up out of the woods and up to where the rabbits normally are, we found nothing, not even a birdie flapping about. They must have heard OTL calling us and it was him that scared them off this time and not us!

Not our fault this time, it was OTL wot dun it!
Heading back towards the car park OTL spotted a small bird right up the top of a tree and using the maximum lens setting he snapped this robin wot was telling any other birdy's to stay away from his tree!

Clear Orf you lot, this is MY TREE!
Lunchtime it was Wendy and Monty who came out with us and the sun was shining and it was super warm as well.

We saw the biggest fly basking in the sunshine and it had a sort of burnished bronze colour on it's back. Can't say I've seen that one before!

We'll have to keep an eye open for this again!
This afternoon we watched the F1 Racing Qualifying and judging by the results, we are expecting a good race tomorrow!

We're off to see what's for dinner, Doggy Scoff I think, still, there is always OTL's dinner to try for!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

We have been pigging out today!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Wot a sunny day it has been, except of course first thing this morning when there was ice on the windscreen and on the leaves of the low down weeds!

We were a little early in getting out and Old Two Legs remembered to bring the camera with him and he snapped off a view over the marshlands and over to the east where the sun had just got up!

A bit of Ground Mist!
As we walked around OTL just had to take a photo of the Daffy Dillies. He took another that was a close up of the bloom but we preferred the 'Two Bloom' shot!

Two blooms is better than one!
Another thing we spotted was the crow gathering sticks to build the nest with. Mind you, it's a good job Holly and I don't bother with all that nest building, we got our beds already made up for snoozing!

It's a busy time for the birdies!
Lunchtime it was just great in the sunshine and today May and Eric came out with us. May was the most energetic and she was running all over the place.

We still had to wait for them 'cos our legs are longer than ferret legs. Mind you, Eric did manage to get a lift in the ferret bag!

Do you think if we gave them a woof they might hurry up?
Back on the football fields Holly and I were doing our broad sweep looking for sniffs and May and Eric decided they would try to creep up on us!

No chance! But it was fun watching them try, just before we ran off to the car!

OK, you go left and I'll go right and we'll get them!
Saturday tomorrow and the clocks go forward an hour between Saturday and Sunday!

We prefer it when the clocks go back 'cos it feels like we are gaining an hour but this going forward means we have lost an hour and we don't like loosing time!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

The weekend is a coming!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

We love Thursday 'cos it is so close to Friday which is the beginning of the weekend! The weekend means TV watching and paws up on the sofa and generally enjoying ourselves.

That is if The Missus is going to see her mates up at the village hall!

This mornings walk was boring 'cos the sun had been up for ages and it was so overcast that Old Two Legs didn't even take his camera with him!

Lunchtime was better as Miss Wendy and Monty came out with us. They haven't been out for a little while and it made a pleasant change to get them out in the fresh air.

One good thing is that they walk a lot quicker than Eric!

Being that they are both on leads they have to go over the same sniffs, unlike Holly and I, we can go and find our own sniffs and then decide if we want to share!

Hey, look, two sniffy slugs!
It's fun sometime just to listen to them discussing sniffs!

OK, interesting sniff but I wouldn't eat it!
Now, us woofers like to leave our 'Calling Card' so other woofers know we have been there but the ferrets don't do that. Mainly 'cos there are no wild ferrets around here, just weasels!

Oh No! Your not going to do a wee on the sniff?
That's what it was like all the way back to the car! Wendy had to get a carry 'cos she said that she was a little exhausted as she hasn't been out and was a little unfit!

As they are on separate leads they can wander from side to side of the path which means that OTL is forever stepping over their leads and it looks like he is dancing!

That's the last time I tell you about the sniff!
There was some new piles of earth shoved up into Mole Hills and both Wendy and Monty had a good dig and snuffle through it all!

Of course, there were no moles there and OTL says that they might be miles away hiding down the other end of the field!

Still, we gave it a good sniff and the ferrets did their digging and finally, just to show we were there, Holly did a wee on the hill!

Miss May was a bit put out being left behind but spent the afternoon rampaging around her cage and waking Eric up by jumping on top of him!

All this running around, May caught her claw in the bedding so that caused OTL to help her unhook her claw and then he rolled her on her back, put the bottle of Ferretone across her tummy and while she was slurping away, OTL clipped her claws with his nail clippers!

TL says he is going to try the Moth Trap he got for Christmas. The weather is warmish and there have been signs of insects buzzing around, so, who knows, there might just be a moth or two!

He's going to get his camera and macro lens set up ready for tomorrow!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

He's back to work again!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Us woofers have a hard life you know, we are on duty all the time, ready at an instance to woof at anyone who walks past the house, anyone who posts anything through the letterbox including those begging leaflets that want you to put out all your clothes in bags!

There ain't no one going to touch our blankets and bedding!

Last night we got our rewards, Old Two Legs treated us all to a Chinese take a way, so that means loads of Plawn Clakers and King Plawns and the other stuff that comes with the chow main and noodly stuff!

I must admit, all that lot and a bottle of giggle juice, we all slept well last night!

There was no wind this morning and we were expecting a bit of frost but it was mild and we didn't mind walking through the grass 'cos it was reasonably dry!

We chased a couple of rabbits but to be honest, they were too far ahead to catch, so we made do with just woofing at them!

Lunchtime Eric and May came out with us and although there wasn't any sun, it was mild, so Eric didn't mind having a trot along the sea shore and he even had a game of chase with May!

Eric was supposed to count up to one hundred before he started off but he can't count further than ten and May said that was no excuse and he was cheating!

OK, coming, ready or not!
Mind you, May is not above bending the rules, she ran behind OTL's wellies and climbed up his leg so she could hide in the ferret bag!

Stay there OTL, I'm coming!
This afternoon OTL had to go out working, something about reprogramming a radio, still, it kept him busy for most of the afternoon!

Hey, we didn't tell you 'cos we published yesterdays blog before we found out, but, The Missus got a card from Izzy and the gang wishing TM a happy birthday.

We have snaffled it from TM's mail box to show you. The only questions in, just what was being waved near the camera lens to get them all to look at the same time?

Food?
Happy Birthday to you, here's some old Yorkshire poo!
See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

It's all happening today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

We have given up trying to work out what the yellow flowers belong to, it makes out brain hurt trying to pronounce the Latin names!

It's almost as bad as that Alexa thingy, I mean, what's the point of having a thing you give instructions to that then ignores you and goes off to do summat else!

Mind you, we do that to Old Two Legs, he says SIT and we stand, then he says COME HERE and we run off chasing rabbits!

Holly and I are going to change our names to Alexa-1 and Alexa-2!

Now, pay attention, today is The Missuses birthday and she is numpity two years old. Being the bossy sort, she got her birthday prezzie from OTL early. so, OTL had to get here a surprise pressie.

A Niffler!

Well, this is not a real one, it's a cuddly toy Niffler!

TM seemed pleased and spent the morning cuddling the Niffler which is OK by us, just as long as it is a toy and not a real one in disguise!

This morning we were out for a walk and you know there was ice on the windscreen!

We saw a ship come a bit close to the shore, Holly said it didn't have it's headlights on!

Mind the wreck out there!
As the sun came up the ice melted and then everything was wet and damp!

We met up with that Bozo who just loves a game with OTL but is scared of Holly and I, soppy sat down and then said that the grass was wet! Of course it's wet, the ice had melted!

I gotta wet butt!
Back home we looked in the pond and saw that the flog splawn had all changed and there was a big ball of Taderly Poles wriggling their way around in the sun!

Taderly Poles!
You know, if they all grow into flogs then we won't have enough room in the garden for them and us!

Lunchtime we were out again but this time the wind had dropped and the sun was still out, so May and Eric came out for a run. It was Monty and Wendy's turn to come out but they were fast asleep so OTL left them snoozing the day away!

Miss May loves the new mow grass and spends all her time rolling around on it!

Shift over, my turn for a roll!
It's good to see Eric run along side May, sort of keeping her running in a straight line!

Come on girl, left paw down a bit!
Now, as we mentioned earlier, today is M's Birthday and you all know what happens on birthdays?

All together, on the count of seven hundred and three   1   12      703          Keep UP!

Happy birthday to you
Here's a bucket of poo
Stick it all in your porridge
Happy Birthday to you!

Hey! OTL has been reading the instructions for the new TV and has found a menu to set up 'Voice Commands'! Can you imagine it? OTL will be calling for one program and TM will be calling for cardy stuff, poor TV will give up and explode with too much instructions!

And you thought Alexa was trouble!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Monday, 25 March 2019

The new TV is arriving today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Wot a super sunny day today, shame about the freezing north wind that was blasting in from the arctic!

It was OK when we were in amongst the bushes, they sort of protected us from the wind and we took a second look at the yellow flowers.

Old Two Legs doesn't do flowers and stuff like that so, with all the helpful hints we have decided that the plant is called a 'Laburnumjaponicaforsythiahoneysuckle'!

There we go, it's a 'Laburnumjaponicaforsythiahoneysuckle' so everyone is right!
Now, looking through the trees and the bushes we can see that the ivy is creeping up the tree trunks and OTL has just announced that he knows wot all the trees are.............wood!

He is such a wag!

Yeah, OK, so they are made of wood..........and?
OTL saw a pigeon making a nest but we think he may be a bit early, like, there are no leaves on the trees to camouflage him and the nest!

Fine views from the top floor!
The leaves are slowly bursting but the view through the trees is still quite interesting, like, you can see the birds flying through the trees!

OK, who can spot the eagle?
Once again Holly messed up the rabbit hunt, OTL stopped us from racing ahead and slowly crept up the hill until his head poked over the top of the hill. He had a look and spotted a couple of rabbits and was about to point which way we should run to intercept them when Holly rushed past him and went in the wrong direction!

The trouble with Holly Chops is that she is just won't listen to instructions!

I told you to wait didn't I?
I was not a Happy Puppy, I mean for a couple of seconds we could have had a good chance of nabbing a Bunny Tail for breakfast but because of her all we got was out of breath!

I know she is my sister but there are times I wish I was an only pup!
OK, now for the good news, the TV is about an hour away, well that's what the delivery man said who telephoned OTL a couple of minutes ago. Looking at the clock that is about the time we post this blog, so, you will have to wait until tomorrow before we can show off about the wonderful colours and the screen size and just how fast the valves warm up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.
