Salmon and Turkey for Miss May!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

It's been another one of those 'Mix Up Days'.

Old Two Legs was up early to get us out and back and the cages cleaned before he headed of to the hospital to get his eyes checked.

He got checked by the consultant fella who said that OTL needed to have his eye ball 'Polished'!

Now he had his cattle racks done some time ago but it looks like a cattle rack has returned, so with the aid of some laser gun thingy, he's going to get blasted and sort out his eye.

Only problem is, it will take another twp months before he will be invited back in! We reckon that will total eight months to get an eye ball polished and it will take 'Only a few minutes'!

Maybe we should borrow a torch and have a go ourselves!

OTL ordered up some 'Kitten Food' for Miss May on the advice of the vet and it is supposed to get some extra protein into Miss May to help with her Insolinoma. Now it's OK to get the stuff in, but getting a ferret to eat is another thing!

Still, if there is nothing else then she should eat it, claws crossed!

OTL put half a tin in with May and Eric and he put the other half of the tin in with Wendy and Monty. Who knows, they might eat it when OTL isn't watching, then it will be the question of who actually ate it?

Now, all this talk of baths, hair cuts and stuff has made OTL dig out the clippers and charge them up!

I do hope it is just 'Maintanance' and not a planned job!

With OTL off to the hospital, that means The Missus had to take us out for the midday walk. We had to show her the way we like to go and we didn't have the bother of a camera clicking away every time we have a wee!

Tomorrow we have the whole day to ourselves 'cos TM is off to her Glue Slapping day at the village hall.

That means we will be 'Resting' on the sofa with all the nibbles we can find!

Who knows, we might have a go at the 'Kittens Nosh' if those ferrets turn their noses up!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's Getting Colder!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret back again!

Now, I don't know what it's been like your end of the world but down here in sunny North Kent the wind has been blowing and the temperature is well down on what is has been over the last week or so!

I can see that before long there will be signs of weather we would rather not have, like, snow!

I know this 'cos Old Two Legs has just 'Found' his set of snow chains for the big car!

He has never needed to put them on yet, but he is always prepared for the worse!

Miss May was a bit slow in getting up this morning and needed a cuddle with OTL and a carry down stairs so she could get her tablet and a feed of Kibble. Once that had got inside her she was off chasing Eric and ferreting around the lounge!

All of the ferrets decided to stay in today, so it was just Holly and I out for a walk and a sniff!

Well, it's interesting, I'll give you that!
Lunchtime walk was still as chilly and  we met up with a couple of woofers we had met before, mind you, that didn't stop me from giving them a woof as we passed!

We stopped at the Mole Holes for a sniff and decided that the mole wasn't at home!

Well, it's been here but not this afternoon!
Back home retired to our day beds for a snooze while OTL got some stuff ready for delivery tomorrow.

Talking of tomorrow, OTL is off to get his eye ball inspected and work out if they will get the laser gun out and shoot him!

More than likely, they will have a look and make another appointment, which will upset OTL 'cos he has been waiting since last August to see the consultant!

That means, we will have to be walked by The Missus 'cos OTL's appointment is the same time we normally have our walk.

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Miss May is looking good today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Happy Birthday to Arch
Soak yer tail in some starch
Spray yer head with some glitter
Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday Archie Babe, save us some of your birthday cake!

Holly was up early this morning working on the song and with the help of the ferrets we managed to complete it by walkies time!

As normal, it was dark and cloudy and we only spotted Venus for a couple of moments, then it hid behind the clouds.

Miss May is showing improvements although she is still wobbly on her paws but she is awake enough to have a game of 'Push and Shove' with Eric!

After the game they both headed for bed and a snooze.

Eric woke up and started to rattle his cage door, so, to teach him a lesson Old Two Legs dressed him up and he came out with us for a lunch time walk!

He was not a happy ferret!

Most of the time he spent trying to get back into the bag!

All though the sun was shining, it was chilly 'cos the wind was blowing. Still, there were still sniffs to be had!

They have even taken the Christmas Tree down from off the church!
When we got back to the football field, Eric got all excited about a pile of earth the moles had dug overnight but try as he might, the Mole stayed hidden deep underground!

Look, I know he is here and I can sniff him but he won't come out to play!
Back home OTL has been playing on the computer and fiddling with the paperwork he creates. I don't really understand why he has to make piles of paper only to send it all off to his accountant who puts in in bigger files and then after a year or so, gives it all back to OTL!

I really don't understand Two Legs!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Good News!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A little late getting up this morning and although it was only half an hour, we missed out on a sunrise but that means the the days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter!

It won't be long before we will be able to show the super sunrises we get this end of the world.

Now, you remember that Miss May was put on the pills yesterday and when we all got home OTL got the pill down her chops with the aid of some Ferretone.

She was sleepy and headed off to bed for a cuddle with Eric, so we left them alone to get over the excitement of the day.

Normally, Miss May is late in getting up, staying in bed until we come back from our morning walk and then slowly walks around the house for a slurp of Ferretone and a nibble of Brambles Biscuits.

She then finds a comfortable place to go back to snoozing.

Not this morning, when we got back from our walk we found Eric and May bouncing off the cage walls, rattling the cage door and running up and down the cage floors!

OTL opened the bottom door and Eric just flew out followed by May and OTL reckons that her paws didn't touch the ground!

Her nose went straight into the small glass cup OTL uses to grind up the pills and mix with a small drop of Lactose Free Milk which goes down a treat!

After that she was off down stairs for a game with Eric, in and out of the cardboard tunnels and plastic bags!

Well, it looks like those pills are magic! She hasn't been dribbling nor has she been falling over on her side either.

Success!

Lunchtime we took Wendy and Monty out for a walk. Normally Eric come out but he has been showing off and not wanting to get out of the bag!

We arrived on the sea front just before High Tide and noticed it was right up the beach, very high!

Is this what they warned us about?
We did see that there were flood warnings in and around this area but there was no signs of it chasing us up the hill!

Monty was full of fun and was dashing about and rolling in the grass.

Come on, chase me!
Miss Wendy was slow to start but it didn't take her too long to catch Monty and the pair of them were laughing their tails off by chasing Holly and me!

Look, lets creep up on a woofer and bite her butt!
We were more interested in watching out for bunnies that were stuffing their chops a bit further up the hill!

Nah! Too far away and they would see us coming!
When we got to the football field Monty was straight into the Mole Hills and in no time was digging down into the Mole Tunnel, unfortunately the mole wasn't there!

Come on Mole Chops, come on out!
The mole stayed underground so we all missed out on some Mole Chasing, still, there is always next time!

Miss May has been running around the cage this after noon and OTL is dead chuffed with the improvement she has made after just two tablets!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Miss May should be Gold Plated!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

Poor Old Two Legs is having trouble standing on his paws, we have been to the vet today!

Now OTL does like to look after us with regard to worming tablets and anti flea and anti tick stuff.

He also looks after us when we are not very well.

Today has been one of those days when only Monty and I managed to stay out of the vets clutches!

It started off with Holly being too fat, let's face it, she is just too big for her skin and she was just over eleven kilogrammes the last time she climbed onto the scales.

Holly has been on a 'Restrictiion Diet' like, no choccy biscuits or nibbles from the plate or helping me finish off my dinner!

Nor is she allowed too many chews and anything that could be fattening!

Poor Holly has not been a happy puppy.

Today she climbed onto the scales and she was ten point eight kilogrammes!

Well done Holly, target is ten kilogrammes!

Next it was Miss Wendy and Eric's turn to get stabbed by the vet to stop them getting distemper and stuff like that. Both ferrets were so brave, they licked on their Ferretone whilst being stabbed and didn't make a fuss at all!

Brave ferrets!

Last of all it was Miss May. OTL has been worried about her, she has just not been herself and OTL reckons she could have Insulinoma, a common ferret condition. Miss May was kept in the vets for a couple of hours so that a blood sample could be taken and sent off to the specialist for examination. May didn't like the idea of getting stabbed so the vet had to give her a whiff of gas to knock her out while a gallon of the red stuff was drained from her!

Well, May said it felt like a gallon anyway!

So, while the sample is sent off she has got some Prednicare tablets she must take every morning.

It has been suggested that May gives up the Ferretone and the Brambles Biscuits and the Lactose Free Milk!  Miss May is not a happy ferret!

One good thing, after she woke up from the gas she was offered some cat food and she ate it! So, tomorrow OTL is going to get a tin of cat food to see if she will eat that as a treat!

Finally they presented OTL with the bill.

You know, it's a good thing that OTL gets free treatment from the NHS.

They reckon he will be out soon and his wallet is responding to electric shock treatment!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

A Sunday Lay in!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Last night, after our dinner, Old Two Legs and The Missus left us on our own and headed off to the local church!

Seems there was a show on involving violins and a cello! No don't ask, us woofers are not into violin stuff, it seems that when they are 'Playing' the violin it looks more like they are trying to saw it in half!

That of course left us on our own to stretch out on the sofa and nibble on a carrot until they came back!

Now all this going out means that they came in late and went to bed late and of course you know what happened next!

Yep! They got up late and in the case of OTL it was a whole hour and a half later than normal!

On our walk the sun was up but there was no sign of a sun rise, it just sort of didn't happen!

No Sun, just clouds and a wind!
The ferrets declined the offer of coming out with us and stayed late in bed a little more than OTL!

Miss May was awake when we got back and after a slurp of Ferretone she was galloping around chasing Eric in and out of the plastic shopping bags and cardboard tubes!

Lunchtime they were all asleep again and not interested in coming out with us, even if we were an hour and a half late!

We got down there and met up with Max and Oscar and Bryn! We hadn't seen them for ages. We walked with them for a while, discussing sniffs and other woofy stuff!

Look it's The Lads!
OTL has been playing on the computer doing work type stuff and every so often he sits back and falls asleep!

That will teach him to stay out late!

See you tomorrow when we should have the results of the visit to the vet with May, Eric and Wendy!

Bye Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

A Lazy Saturday

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Oh! We do just love Saturdays, Old Two Legs leaves the work computer switched off so he doesn't get involved with spread sheets and invoices, and orders and other really boring stuff!

Instead we go out walking over the foot paths and around all the trees and bushes!

This morning it was rather chilly and dark, really dark, so OTL didn't see us having a roll in a particular whiffy sniff! Mine you, when we got back he could see the skid marks all over our harnesses!

That means that tomorrow OTL will get them washed and hung up in the airing cupboard to dry off!

Miss May was a bit dopey this morning and didn't come out to play but rather wanted to have a cuddle with OTL when he was cleaning the cage.

OTL says it is right difficult scooping ferret poo out of a cage one handed whilst holding a ferret in the other arm!

It was only after her and Eric were back in the cage that she really woke up and went ferreting around the cage!

Lunchtime came and OTL asked Eric if he wanted to come out but Eric stayed curled up in the ferret Cuddle Cup saying it was just too cold. Miss Wendy and Monty were offered the chance of coming out but they both stayed hidden in the ferret bed, cuddled up and told OTL to 'Walk the Dogs' and to leave them alone!

The wind was coming in off the sea and the tide was in so it was rather nippy.

Back home we cuddled up with OTL on the sofa and watched  some TV, well we started off watching but we all fell asleep after a little while, only to be woken up in turn by the dustbin men, one of the neighbours, two visitors to next door, the postman and the Avon Lady!

So the snoozing was a little broken!

Then late in the afternoon, The Missus returned from her glue slapping, well actually it was an 'Inky Day' which means she is covered from head to paw in inky splodges and and inky looking moustache where she wiped the back of her hand under her nose!

Tonight it will be a relaxing night and OTL has threatened to put both Holly and I in the shed if we wake him up tonight and he will know about our guarding 'cos he has set up a security camera to monitor our movements.

He can be dead sneaky sometimes!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

Busy Busy Day!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Well, we tried Archie Babes trick of moving the paw to prove we have been doing our guarding job.

It didn't work, you see, Holly Chops is a bit of a 'Mover' when it comes to sleeping and we had discussed this paw moving trick and Holly said she would try it first. So, on the hour she rolled over and stuck her back leg out straight with a bit of force.

It was then that we heard Old Two Legs shout out as though he was in pain, which he was, 'cos Holly had managed to stick her back claws straight into his ear!

OTL was not happy! Neither was I 'cos I was forced to go out on the rounds while Holly stayed in bed saying that her claw was bruised and she couldn't walk properly!

It was dark this morning and just a little chilly, the Weather Man says it will get colder as we get nearer to the weekend, nearer? The weekend is tomorrow!

The Missus is off tomorrow to the village hall for a bit of glue slapping so we may have a relaxing day watching TV and nibbling on treats!

OTL has been busy and had some boxes to dispatch at lunchtime so we went along with him, just to woof at the carrier man!

Eric came with us but he stayed in the bag when we were walking along the sea shore he even refused to move when OTL put him down on the concrete!

I'm not moving at all, it is just too cold for any sort of moving about!
It was just the same when we got to the football field, OTL found a Mole Hill that had some fresh earth where the mole had been busy but Eric even turned his nose up at a Mole Hill, he just wanted to get back into the bag again!

I just don't do Mole Hills in this weather!
Now, as you know, Eric and Wendy have been booked into be stabbed on Monday, well, OTL made a booking for Miss May as she seems a little off colour. OTL has been studying her and her actions and thinks she could be troubled with Insulinoma which is a sort of reverse of Diabetes and is common in ferrets of her age. With diabetes you don't produce enough insulin but with Insulinoma you produce too much!

I don't think it can be cured but there are pills she can take each day to keep it under control, providing of course if OTL's diagnosis is correct!

We'll find out on Monday!

Have yourselves a good weekend!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's a Yum Yum Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Wot a super day it's been. Old Two Legs woke up late this morning and we were a whole half of an hour late in going for our morning walk. It was still black out and not even the moon was visible!

Maybe the Chinese nicked it with their rocket and now it's No9 on the menu.

Moon Chow Mien?

Lunchtime was great, the sun was out and sky was blue and Eric managed a little longer walk than normal!

Sunshine on Sheerness!
The sniffs were OK but Holly kept loosing the sniff on the top path. I did suggest it had rolled down the hill!

No, it's here somewhere and sniffs don't roll!
Eric was in his bag as normal and he decided that being in a bag was the best place for a ferret, especially when there is a sniff on the loose!

Well, I reckon the sniff got blown away!
OTL dug Eric out of the bag when we got to the bench and suggested that Eric go and have a ferret around for the elusive sniff but Eric decided to leave the sniff and did a very fast exit and returned to the bag like a streak of light!

Just watch out for the burn marks as I head for that bag!
On the football field I was showing Eric where the sniff might have disappeared to but he said it was the wrong sniff!

Hey, what about this one, it's 'Mouldy' enough!
Back home we had a snooze while waiting for Michael and Sue to arrive. It was super seeing them again and we got two bags of Doggy Treats, a bag of Rawhide chews with tasty bits stuck to the rawhide, plus, a bag of Doggy Sausages that we will save until tomorrow!

OTL and The Missus were given a 2019 Calendar with pictures of the places Michael and Sue have visited during the year. There were pictures of Scotland and Yorkshire and Kent, right dead posh it was!

I suppose that TM and OTL will be fighting over who has it and I reckon TM will be the winner!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

More Star Gazing!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

This working for a living is not much fun, you know we have been up almost all night doing our guarding duties, marching around the house, checking all the doors and locks. After that we have to inspect under all the beds to make sure no Nargles or Nifflers have crept in during the day.

Of course, there is the sniffing out of all the ferret nibbles that have been stashed away. It almost wears your nose out!

After all of that is done we have to wake up and go for a morning wee!

It was dark this morning, loads of dark clouds and the only thing we saw was the Moon and Venus!

Taken using the phone camera
We don't take the camera with us in the morning 'cos most of the time there is nothing to photograph. The Sun is still in bed and there is no morning glow on the horizon!

Mind you, lunch time is better, providing there is something to photograph!

Holly Chops catching up after a stop for a wee!
Now, we expected that the Two Legs would all be back at work but there were a number of them wandering along the sea shore, some even had woofers with them!

Where did that lot come from?
Eric is still playing his game of 'Hide in the Bag' but when we got to the football field Holly and I headed off to the Mole Hills for a dig while Old Two Legs coxed Eric across the field by showing Eric the bag then running off as Eric chased after OTL to get in!

I don't think this is funny. Just wait until I catch you!
We got back home and was settling down for an afternoon snooze when we heard OTL making a phone call.

Normally his phone calls are boring beyond belief but this one was to the vet!

Seems that January is the time when Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret have to go in for their Distemper jab.

Jab? Have you seen the size of the needle compared with the size of a ferret? It's like getting stabbed with a bicycle pump with a sharp end!

Rather them than me!

Anyway, an appointment has been made for them to get stabbed next Monday and already OTL is counting the contents of his money bag to make sure he has enough!

Poor OTL!

Tomorrow we are expecting Auntie Sue and Michael to visit, should be fun!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!
